Toffoli and Bertuzzi combined would be about Guentzel’s cap hit. Hopefully they find out before July 1st at where Guentzel stands and have offers in place for these two guys if it doesn’t work out.
bertuzzi's uncle even better 😂
@@aaron-604 lol He was great, miss that dude tbh.
Come on Yzerman!! Work the magic. Guentzel would look great in a winged wheel.
I doubt it. Btw....it got reported 3 days ago it sounds like Kane's going back to the Rangers.
@@stenco-eh1hd Patrick Kane wants 3 x $6,000,000 No way is New York paying him that, Nor can they afford to pay him that much.
@@garyvandecar2580 uh yeah they can bud. They have nearly 16m in cap lmao
@@garyvandecar2580 they placed goodrow on waivers and SJ claimed him. It was also reported they're not done making moves. They just placed trouba, kakko, and someone else on the trading block. It was NOT guys like panarin, Kreider, lafrienere, zibanejad though
@@garyvandecar2580 it was also reported that marchessault has high interest in NY and he'll probably end up signing there too
It's up to Jake to leave or take. He knows the Canucks are warming up 😊 the team for better results.
He will leave it cause Canucks don't have the cap. He wants over 10m to sign in Vancouver cause Vancouver's team tax rate is 47%. You guys have 10 free agents and only 15m in cap. Signing guentzel means you lose half your active roster lmao
@@stenco-eh1hd with LTIR and mikheyev gone (hopefully) the Canucks have 23.3M in cap space and 9 guys who need to be resigned
@@lawlorrr4766 yeah it doesn't matter. Guentzel wants 11+ to sign in Vancouver. He only wants 9-9.5 from Carolina (Carolina has a lower tax rate so he wants less)
@@lawlorrr4766 I'm not a canes fan but I think he'll end up resigning there. Guentzels american and he's already stated he prefers to remain in an American market.
@@lawlorrr4766 and btw....it was already reported that no one wants mikheyev. The Canucks would have to attach a first round pick to sweeten the deal to get someone to take him. Maybe more than a first.
Jake DeBrusk is my top choice for free agents.
Well, there are a couple other very big names in free agency the Wings and Kings could be targeting. One of them just won the Stanley Cup and one has a history with Stevie Y when he was in Tampa, so I'm not panicking yet. Besides, if we don't land Jake, I'm happy to go get Toffoli and re-sign Zadorov.
If the Nucks get him? Hurray, but as a Canucks fan I am very much use to not getting the good free agents (who don't end up just being a temp/rental)
Yeah you don't have the cap anyways my guy
He wants over 10m to sign in Vancouver because Vancouver's tax rate is 47%. You only have 15m in cap....and 10 free agents
The Canes will sign him if the price dosn't get stupid. I think Florida might have teams thinking they need to get more physical.
He wants 9-9.5 a year from Carolina
The thing is......Carolina probably can't afford to pay him that. they have over 10 free agents and a lot of big names are apart of those
Dude you sound like the national enquirer
The NHL Inquisitive
In an ideal world, as a Devil's fan. Sign Pesce (who theure reportedly agreed to a contract with already) trade Marino + 10th Overall to the Jets for McGroarty + Ehlers. Sign Guentzel. Win cup
Andrew you're wrong about Pesce. His family went on twitter thanking canes fans for always showing support to his family and told you guys they'll always have love for you guys
Canes offered pesce 5.5 last summer and told him that's all they'd be willing to give him. He told them that wouldn't be good enough. That was reported by the way......Pesce's not resigning.
Brady skjei will probably resign but yeah it was already reported Pesce's gone dude.
If this is a play for Jake to get more money from Van, then Van should move on, just saying
Dude you don't even have the cap to begin with lmao
You have 15m in cap.....but 10 free agents. Guentzel wants over 10m to sign in Vancouver cause the tax rate is 47%
Hypothetical if Jake Guentzel resigns with canes. Why not go after Sam Reinhart local kid. If he’s available in July 1. Sam Reinhart gonna get paid regardless.
He just scored 50+ goals and the game winner in game 7 of the final. We don’t have the cap space for that. lol Dude will want at least 10 mil most likely. Even Guentzel is unaffordable without moving Mikheyev.
@@LeonExile05 Canucks can give 9 or 9.5 either Reinhart or Guentzel and they have the money. There’s no guarantee that they’ll will be free at July 1.
@@-TurboS They have quite a bit of other positional need and not enough cap to fill them all. If you do the math on cap friendly really closely you’ll see how close it’s going to be. They likely need Guentzel at 8.5, but I don’t think in he will take that, he will probably want about 9.5 like you’re saying. If they shorten their D pool a bit they can afford him, but without trading Mikheyev we’ll be lacking in some areas.
I'd like to see American Jake Guentzel keep playing for an American team
Jake ain’t going to Vancouver. Sorry bud
Who is gonna go deep on this gunt?
