Am I in Africa? It sure doesn't feel like it! Come with me to get a first taste of this unique country in their capital city of Algiers...you'll think you're in Eastern Europe :)
In fact in usa airport they let you take off your shoes and belt and sometimes underwear , usa is not a safe country , guns everywhere and people can shoot you for nothing
Welcome to Algeria, I’m Algerian that lives in Boston and I’m currently in Algeria as well. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this experience and discover one of the most genuine and warm welcoming places. Don’t hesitate to communicate with locals, people are super nice out there

I really want to go to Algeria, but I don't know how difficult the procedure is. Someone I know who lives in Algeria told me that this process is difficult. I'm still wishing to be with him in the future. 🥺 Inshallah ☝️ Btw, I'm from Philippines. A warm hello to our brothers and sisters in Algeria 🇩🇿♥️
The easiest way is that he send you a paper called ( invitation) but you can also contact a travel agency in Algeria and they take care of the hotel reservation and invitation .

In the past was difficult but now with the new law it become more easy and The easiest way is calling an Algerian tourism and travel agency to visit the Algerian 🇩🇿 desert 🏜️ and other places as your choice ,they will help you and it will make the visa processe more east
We love you too, don't listen to haters, true we hate your king and government like we despise all arab rulers including ours but the people are another story, we love all the muslim brothers and sisters all around the world
The reason why Algeria is not welcoming to tourists is that the people fear that tourists will spoil the traditional traditions, because tourists love parties, nudity, and alcohol in public. Therefore, the Algerian people are conservative, anxious and fearful for the future of their children.
2:46 That building is called (the Martyr’s Shrine) مقام الشهيد (makam al shahid ) and it commemorates the martyrs of the glorious liberation revolution I was hoping that you would accompany someone to explain and tell you the history of the city and other cities, their landmarks, our customs and our traditions
The reason you were treated like that is because Algeria is big on anything reciprocal Meaning the way Algerians are treated upon arrival to the US Americans must go through a very similar experience!
@@megseverywhere No we aren't reciprocal enough with you, we don't have an opensky prison for Americans like the one you have in Guantanamo for Muslims, so stop oinking!
The monument that you visited I believe pays homage to the millions of Algerian Martyrs killed by the French during the war for independence 1954-1962. France has committed horrors, real crimes against humanity: Torture, deportations, land dispossession, mass assassinations... In 132 years of colonization, France has caused more than 11 million Algerian deaths. I learned that the French deported thousands of Algerians to the penal colonies in New Caledonia and Guyana. Sometimes, during the 6 months of sea voyages, the French threw their bodies at sea. The Algerian survivors arrived in these distant islands in abominable conditions. They were taken from their land and then sent to the other side of the world simply because France wanted to isolate any form of uprising. It was the Algerians who populated and built these islands. I have seen documentaries with descendants of these Algerian deportees living on these islands. The Algerians are a people who have suffered a lot. For the record, when President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was Governor, he supported the Algerians' fight for their independence. Then, when he became President, JFK and the First Lady received Algerian President Ahmed Ben Bella at the White House. If you search on CZcams you will find videos of JFK making a speech to congratulate the Algerians for their independence, as well as TV reports of Ben Bella's arrival at the White House. JFK was a fervent supporter and defender of the Algerian cause. The United States was the first country to recognize Algeria, along with China and Russia. Algeria was also, for 15 years, the world center of struggles against colonialism and racism. It was the Algerians who supported and helped Nelson Mandela (a stadium and a street are named after him in Algeria). They also welcomed and supported the leaders of the Black Panther movement who fought for Civil Rights. They also supported African leaders who were fighting for independence. Even today, Algeria continues to help all suffering people throughout the world. Ob never talks about it in our media and yet these people are always there to provide aid to countries experiencing a disaster. It's in the DNA of Algerians. Algiers was the Mecca of the Revolutionaries. For example, Che Guevara lived for some time in Algeria. The history of Algeria is surprising and fascinating when you take an interest in it.
Because we don't have many tourists, restaurants usually serve either Western or Middle Eastern food- to get traditional food you'll have to look online for places that serve tradi or get invited to someone's place
These driving babies are so cute indeed ! I often see vids of the Maqâm eshahid but didn"t know about the tiny cars around it. Your approach is refreshing, enjoy Algeria. If you fo to Oran, there is quality traditonial craftmanship in Khemisti street.

Hi Meg! The salad you ate is not "Baba Ghanoudj". Baba ghanoudj is a middle-eastern salad which contains eggplants and Tahineh (sesame cream). The Algerian salad you ate is made of roasted eggplants + tomatoes + garlic seasoned with a vinegrette (oil + vinegar + salt). Enjoy your staying in Algeria!
Regarding customs at the airport, when we go to other countries we are treated the same way every 😂 In any case, every country wants to guarantee security and stability for its people. Welcome to Algeria. I hope you enjoy your time ❤
Welcome to Algeria, hope your trip will amazing. Try to move little east and west and why not south. For example visit mountain called chrea in blida city around 45 km in Southwest Algiers. Visit Tipaza in west of Algiers in coast around 40 km and why not cherchel 30 km more west. Take train to Oran 390 km west (sea coast) . Constantine the city of suspended bridges 430 km east (50 km from the coast) . Annaba (called bone or Hippone in old grec I think) if you can El kala extreme east coast an old metchand french comptoir. This is only the north. You can visit the interior city , high plateau means 150 to 250 km inside the country. Cities from west to east Saïda, Laghouat, Biskra. And there is more many places to visit, the medium, Sahara, the deep Sahara and the extreme south Sahara places likes taghit (west), adrar, timimoun (center), djanet ( mean heaven in old tamazigh language), of course Tamanrasset the extreme south of course by plane of organized trip cause the south is very dangerous for ignorant like Mojave desert, the nature is very extreme, you have to be in professional tour organizer, taking account, water, gazoil car, etc. Good trip that's all. May Allah protect you.
