Joe Taslim is what makes me hyped about Mortal Kombat (2021)
Ohhhh really , nice ! I think this MK movie will be good 🤞🤞
Me too bro!!!! He’s gonna be sick I guarantee it .
yeah, Joe Taslim and Hiroyuki Sanada as Sub-Zero and Scorpion! They are both excellent martial artists and give me hope for this.
Same.
@@ShadowTrailMedia sanada is a real legit samurai so hell yeah it will be lit....
Joe is like that chill friend who wouldn't mind listening to you talk about your life problems, and then cheer you up with his contagious laughter 😆.
The positive vibes from this guy. In every role I've seen him he looks so serious and imposing. It's kind of a nice surprise to see how cheerful and nice he can actually be.
Just shows how amazing he is as an actor, he can fully submerse himself into the character even if it's so different then how he naturally is.
I know right check out the night comes for us all, he's terrifying it's so surprising to see how light hearted he is
The raid 1 and 2 are without question some of the greatest action movies ever.
100% agree! Top tier action films. For a quick rewatch, I like the raid 1 better. As a film as a whole (story and action) the Raid 2 is better
Agree. I love the vibes and the ambience from the first, its kinda dark, gory, and packed with action, and lots of their fight scene almost similar to old boys.
But the second is good too 👍
The Predator & Terminator franchise can't even topped The Raid🔥🔥🔥 the film set the bar so high for both martial arts & action film that Hollywood forced to stepped up their game by producing John Wick & The Equalizer to stay relevant, I love both film btw 🙈😬
@George Molina ummm excuse me, "both martial arts & action film" nice try but try better troll
Yasss..
Make Scott Adkins Johnny Cage in the MK sequel! :)
That'd be too perfect
Great call
Yes indeed 🙏
THIS. is a big brain idea omg
Zac Efron more suitable for JC roles
It’s so weird seeing how nice and laid back Joe is after watching his movies like The Night Comes For us
Did you know that he is acting in this interview?
😜
😭😭right
Dude, he loves K-drama and Korean ballad songs lmao
That makes him an actor / martial artist in one 👍
he's nothing like he is on screen. the guy's an incredible actor
Taslim and Adkins are two of the most "day-and-night" guys that I ever seen.
They're unrecognizable
in real life comparising with their movie's characters.
He was perfect as sub zero. Can’t wait to see more of him!
Taslim's amazing in 'The Night Comes For Us.' Anyone who hasn't seen it already should get that seen, pronto.
Yeah it was better than the raid 2
The Night Comes For Us is a phenomenal film!
Raid director: get that guy(joe taslim)
Mortal kombat director: get this guy(joe taslim)
Joe taslim is a blessing for a new martial arts action films
Joe Taslim's fight in The Raid was one of the most excruciating scenes in the movie. I just didn't know who was gonna die.
Scott Adkins. The most complete blogger in the world.
мост комплит Юрий ин да ворлд
The most complete interviewer in the world.
Bom trabalho Scott
Hahahahah
HE IS DEFINITLEY UP THERE WITH ME FAVS 👍👊
Mortal kombat trailer just came out and holy shit, Joe taslim looks absolutely badass as sub zero.
The most intimidating Subzero I ever watch, joe is a great actor and martial artist. Seeing Scott as Johnny Cage in the sequel would be awsome.
He come from same hometown with me. He's our pride. His family just like other ordinary family. He still talk in our local dialect. He's really humble.
Joe Taslim looks so friendly. But in the movies, looks like an absolute gangster.
JOe is very symphatic guy! wow thank you scott for this episode.
Never have I imagined Joe Taslim be a geek. Always see him as a bad ass angry person like Stone Cold
"I..AM..SUB ZERO"
Who else coming here after the new MK trailer?
It's wierd seeing him as this humble ordinary dude cause his presence is always menacing on camera. Just shows how much of a great actor he is
Meee
I course i am. But not sub zero. Wkwkwkwk.
me lol
me and the fact that hes also my fellow countryman is also sweet
That fact that he’s gonna be playing Sub-Zero now is fantastic!
I’ll never stop stan-ing for Scott Adkins as Batman/Bruce Wayne.
He did a video auditioning for the role of batman
I want to appreciate Mr Adkins for being better host than some other actual TV hosts. Of course coming from the same background as the guest is helpful, but what he does is beyond that. He conducts deep study on his guests and chooses interesting questions. He also has the humility even though he maybe the bigger star than the guests themselves. That makes his interview very engaging. And this interview is very definition of it. Friendly host, friendly guest, informative conversation.
joe taslim looks cruel n scary in movies.. but in real life, he is so funny guy
He is a funny guy. He did a lot funny commercials in Indonesia
right. i mean look at that face. In movies that face like he already killed somebody
For indonesian, Joe's english is good, understandable, clear, loud and clear. Well done Joe Taslim
Watch the show Warrior, he's one of the main cast.
I mean, there is so many indonesian that fluent in english.
@@KasihInfo nope the accent is cringe
hi...i'm come from indonesia..nice to meet u
he's not Clear
He's head and shoulders
I would agree that 'The Raid' is perhaps the rawest and most intense martial arts action movie. That movie blew me away. Just wall to wall mayhem and brutal combat. The fight scenes in 'Warrior' are amazing as well, not just Joe's scenes but all the fights.
episode 3 season 2s introduction of Hong's (i think his name was) aka the "chain-man" fight scene, was one of the hottest fight scene intros, for a martial arts character.. The music and choreography was so good... It made me wonder, how many takes it took, to land the moves and throw the baton at the guys head lol
To anyone who isn’t following Warrior, do it. It’s one of the best shows on TV. The sets and backgrounds are incredible and the story, music and characters are amazing. From the team that made Banshee, another masterpiece.
I strongly AGREE! It's one of my current favorite shows. I PRAY that there's at LEAST a THIRD season.
@@feralfeline6137 kung fu + porn = Warrior
I've gotta check out banshee. I missed it on TV but everyone who has seen it talks about how good it is.
@@feralfeline6137 You’re right. Up until the end after the Native American was great but then it lost steam. Still a 10/10 in my book.
Warrior is amazing, season 2 blew me away!!
He's so happy and full of laughter for someone who plays an experienced killer! 😁
Joe Taslim : Mr Eyebrows. They deserve an ovation of their own.
Yeah, Scott playing as Johnny Cage would be sick!
I know Cage is American but if they change him to a cocky English character Scott would so nail it.
@@BrendonLee I don’t know if they would do that to Cage but I don’t think it’d be necessary. I mean, the first Adkins movie I ever watched was Undisputed 2. When I saw Scott’s portrayal of Boyka I truly thought he was a Russian actor. Lol Seriously!
@@BrendonLee i agree Scott Adkins would be BADASS as Johnny Cage and Alain Moussi. Van Damme or Gary Daniels should have been Johnny Cage in the first Mortal Kombat movie with Cynthia Rothrock as Sonya Blade Phillip Rhee as Liu Kang. Amy Johnston should have been Sonya Blade in the new upcoming Mortal Kombat movie.
@@antoniochapman3986 didn´t they age them up the games? Who knows, future sequels might cast Cynthia and Gary as old Cage and Sonya.
@@BrendonLee that could be something they should do a Mortal Kombat spinoff movie called Mortal Kombat presents SONYA with Amy Johnston playing the title character it would be AWESOME.
Back here again bc of Mortal Kombat. Joe is so humble.
Its crazy how Joe taslim aka sub zero plays such a good villian n movies but in real life is such a chill laid back dude. After seeing this and the new mk trailer and the cast interviews I am a fan of Joe. And I'm also a huge fan of Scott Adkins too. Would love for him to be n the new mk movies. Never seen any of joes movies and just heard of him due to the new mk movie and im glad I did I gotta check out his movies. He playing a bad ass sub zero.
The raid Redemption, the night comes for us movies on Netflix, Warriors series on Cinemax, fast and Furious 6, Swordman / Korea movie
Don't forget action comedy: Hit n Run (2019)
His fight with mad dog is still on my top fight scenes ever
I would include Mad Dog actor in the new Mortal Kombat movie however I can. He is a choreographer, MK movie would gain immensely with him.
@@aleksandarradovanovic8496 100% agree. He’s a fantastic fighter and choreographer
Pretty sad silat didnt include in mortal kombat martial art otherwise he could be a cast of it
U can see Sgt. Jaka vs Maddog part II in this movies: Hit n Run (2019)
What Joe said about how he prioritizes the acting and the character first and then fight choreography second is exactly why I know he’s gonna be a fucking amazing Sub-Zero.
although i respect his comment, i dont think sub zero, is going to reflect that... It seems like sub zero, is going to be a bit more of the opposite aka the assassin with very few words but, we will see soon
He is amazing
Scott has such a wonderful personality. So humble, so charismatic. Joe Taslim is another inspiration. Great interview.
His film, The Night Comes For Us, is one of the best martial arts and action movies ever made. The fight finale was voted Best Fight Scene of the 21st Century (So Far)
Oh really. Omg
I couldn't agree more! 💯
Joe looks amazing as Sub Zero, I can't wait to see it next Friday and he seems such a cool guy! Now I'm off to watch 'The Night Comes For Us'.....
Nice interview, the great thing is Joe proved he has charisma and great acting abilities with the balance of martial arts and stunts.
Joe made Mortal Kombat (2021) as he does other films I look forward to see his acting ability.
Joe reminds me of the potential of Jet Li or Jackie Chan and Chou Fat era renaissance of acting and stunts, comedy, and action.
We were privileged to see some international stuntmen become successful Hollywood pop movie film icons.
We need a new era.
Of course, Donnie Yen and many talented others
Why everyone martial artist so humble? Scott Adkins is one of my favorite martial arts actor so proud when u friends with Indonesian martial artist, 🙏
Khabib nurmagomedov pernah bilang, the first lesson in martial art is about respect. Respect the opponent, respect the coach, respect the gym, respect yourself.
Jadi ga humble begimana, karena true martial artist itu bukan niat nyakitin lawan tp membela diri.
The Night comes for Us was released "under the radar" but I think it was an enjoyable surprise. It's a very good action movie and the last fight was one of the best I've seen in recent years.
I was waiting for that movie since 2012 back when they just had concept art out
Best fight was the three way fight between the Operator and the other two girls.
TNCFU🌟
Joe taslim may be the villain but he the heart of mortal kombat he just gives me the hype I love this guy warner brothers gotta keep him
Joe Taslim is awesome No joke with him I somehow feel Bruce Lee vibe more than with Jackie Chan or Jet Li or Donnie yen
Yess!!!
No one will be close to Bruce Lee, sorry. Let these actors be themselves
He giving bruce Lee vibe but I think he is good with comedy like Jackie Chan but we know he is best at villain character evil 😈
@@realdealmind01who said he is close we just said he is giving bruce Lee vibe
love these both guys. They're such a great action star
so wholesome when Scott told Joe he did Judo and Joe got all smiley and excited
Scott is nailing these interviews. From the legends, underrated/unsung and new school action heroes all show love. Great stories
I love Joe Taslim's humble nature and honesty.
The way Scott Adkins said " I'm available " he sounded like Johnny Cage.
If you think about it... :D
He should be Johnny cage
Became a fan of Joe when I saw Raid. He's really good in the show Warrior.
Scott Adkins as Johnny Cage would actually be really cool. He's got the look of him for sure, and the fighting ability that Johnny would have. Fingers crossed for a sequel and Scott to be a part of that.
Agree
Joe Taslim is awesome in warrior, best show on TV right now
Scott Adkins as Johnny Cage !!! Yahhhh
Joe Taslim is like a super nice-kind-cool guy with a incredibly-friendly personality yet he can pull off incredible martial skill as well as being a great actor who can sell the part. It just goes don’t get it twisted about the nicest kindest people. Don’t confuse a kind persons for being a weak one. They can be bring the badass if necessary. I believe Jet Li said it, “martial arts teaches you how to be a nice person.” never a book by its cover all the never judge someone by their appearance or demeanor. Because you could be rolling up on real killer.
Joe Taslim, Iko Uwais, and Scott Adkins in the next John Wick....? Please, make it happen.
Ok yes yes👍👍👍😎
Joe Taslim one of the talented Indonesian martial arts actor...💙💙💙🇲🇾 Malaysia..✌️
Superb news about Warrior coming back now that HBO Max have picked it up. It's a great show all around, and Joe Taslim is the best thing about it.
WOW...Another GREAT Interview and thanks so much Scott! Mild-mannered and humble Joe Taslim is barely recognisable (in your interview) from his vicious and extremely violent character roles, so what an amazing Actor, and I was just blown away seeing the difference! (Aduh...! Hebat sekali Joe, dan semoga sukses selalu! Kapan datang "The Raid 3" atau "The Night Comes for Us 2" ya?)
Scott, I want to take this opportunity to propose an idea to you and all your millions of Fans around the World:
You've mentioned in several Episodes of your amazing "Art of Action" series that you (along with many other Action Stars) are "waiting for a phone call", or "hope so-and-so Director/Producer is watching", or "hope the Studios will call you soon for a sequel" etc. So, why wait for an "uncertain tomorrow", and instead set up a Foundation NOW so that WE (as your Fan-base of MILLIONS of followers throughout the World) can make a contribution ($1, $5, $10, $100, $1,000 or whatever each Fan can afford) to fund your next Movie project ASAP, and invite any of the great Action stars you've interviewed to be a part of it? And despite this INSANE Worldwide Pandemic (with all it's complicated Politics and Protocols that seem to have all but stopped many great ongoing Movie production projects from being finished, or even NEW ones from starting), WE your Fans will help you to produce it...;)
IMAGINE this: A Mainstream Martial Arts/Action Movie...produced during the worst of times (during this Worldwide Pandemic)...funded of the Fans, by the Fans, and for the Fans of MA and Action Movies...starring you and any of your chosen Action Stars...?
I hope that doesn't sound like a "naive" idea, but seriously, this incredible series has no doubt helped add virtually hundreds of thousands of NEW Fans to your (and other Action Stars) Fanbases Worldwide. And I'll just bet that if given the opportunity, that each of your 666,000+ Subscribers and Fans Worldwide would be willing to contribute at least $1-10 to a new project (like "Undisputed 5" or "Triple Threat 2", or whatever Movie project, as long as you're in it), and that right there would make a pretty decent Film budget. Anyway, just throwing this idea out there...;)
the final fight in "The night comes for us" i have never seen a final fight like that in my life, i have seen brutal final fights before, but The night comes for us takes the cake. They even have females that are badder than most action heroes and hard core as hell damn.
Damn, Joe is such a great guy! Gonna pay more attention to him from now on!
That scene at the butcher shop in The Night Comes For Us!
Oh man, yeah. the final fight is basically mortal kombat movie proof of concept.
@@volodymyrbilyk555 That final fight in The Night Comes For Us is brutal! So long (in a positive way). Not easy to film for sure. I loved the camera work in that movie. For more details, feel free to check my video review (no spoilers). I can’t wait to see Joe as SubZero!!!
My fave is actually the girls fight... That how girls fight!!😎😎😎
@@atchanih That’s a great fight. I like the lighting tone, in that building room, in that scene.
@@CinematicTendency that cutter blade through the cheek is still giving me nightmare tho. What a madlad.

I love Grandmaster Sub Zero. "Ask for mercy " ❄❄❄
A movie with Scott and Joe will be legendary!!!👑👑👑
The one and only Mr. Taslim. I can't wait for the new Mortal Kombat movie!
What an absolute gentleman! Such a humble badass! Can’t wait to see more with him!
had no idea Scott even had a youtube channel but im glad this was my introduction to it. Taslim is super underrated
The guy is amazing the night comes for us is my favourite movie of his
When Joe Taslim says Scott needs to starring as J. Chage, all we had to do is waith🙏🐉
Joe taslim nail it as subzero!!!scott deserved a major role in a great blockbuster!!!
To see Scott and Joe dance together would be amazing.
Its Ironic how both these guys are two very badass guys who you dont want to get close too , but then are very friendly in real life
Very interesting to hear from him, fan of a lot of stuff he already done, The Night Comes for Us is one of my faves action movies of recent years and of course im very glad he is Sub Zero
MK was a decent movie. Joe's Sub Zero was one of the best parts of the movie. If Gareth Evans directed MK, it might have been even better. Scott Adkins as Johnny Cage. Flawless kasting. 😎
I like Gareth Evans as an MK director, but I think Isaac Florentine & his style fits MK a bit more. If MK got enough Installments (movies & TV shows), you could have multiple great action directors do a few of them simultaneously to speed up the production a bit. But I definitely didn't lik the MK movie at all. The martial arts was the biggest let down, the kharcters were poorly or not developed at all & too many of them died & were there for no real reason other than to be a lame kanon fodder fatality death, the story was really stupid & inconsistent (Scorpions family dying but Coles family living was one of the stupidest things they did, to have Cole & Hanzo have some kind of symmetry. Also, Cole being beat up by an MMA fighter badly but not only surviving Goro with little to no scratches or broken bones but defeated him with ease when he got his powers. Cole Youngs power not beinf to inadvertently channel Scorpion against his will was also a bit of a miss when you consider the stupid route they went with arcana, which could have been good if limited to certain kharacters but attaching that to Sonya, Jax & Kano basically ruined eveything for me going forward, in addition to the other things mentioned.)
And for me personally, I know a lot of people see Scott Adkins as Johnny Cage but I don't. Fighting wise, of course he would he flawless. Acting wise, I don't see him embodying Johnny as well as someone like Chris Evans would. Same thing as other actors like Alain Moussi, who I would kast as Baraka & Matt Mullins who I'd have as Mokap & Chris Evans real stunt double too. I just personally prefer Scott when he's the villain like in Ip Man, Triple Threat, & other movies.
I think him as a Black Dragon Merc like Kobra could really see Scott bring a 3D kharacter that wasn't really well received & make him into a former White Lotus member who left because he couldn't unlock his chi or arcana or whatever you wanna call it (again, only certain kharacters powers should be attached tovthis koncept but they messed that up going forward so 🤷🏽♂️)
My point is, if they reboot Mortal Kombat asap instead of a sequel to that movie that in reality wasn't well received by fans & casuals a like (I know, I watched over 100 reviews on the movie. Yeah, I'm crazy lol), they could make the most badass franchie ever with the best martial artists, stuntmen and women, action stars & some lesser known actors to flesh out a true MK universe that's faithfully to the source material.
They claim to want to be like MCU, & while you could tell, the execution was nowhere near the level of a single MCU installment. I know MCU has big budgets, but that's my next point: why did MK get a 55M budget when franchises like Transformers and Resident Evil can get 5-6 5-6 and big budgets for their movies? Even Expendables series gets 100M budgets for their movies. The Power Rangers reboot even got 100M reboot. If they gave MK some money into it, we could get 5 movies & around 12 TV series. I won't post my entire idea here though I have in other videos, the kast that should be for MK that would truly be PERFEKT would be:
FULL KAST
** = Art of Action stars via Scott Adkins YT Channel, who many want as Johnny Cage but I think I have the perfect role for him to revamp a kharacter in live action, who should be a pretty bad ass fighter!
