  • Out in the woods testing the Terävä Jääkäripuukko 140 carbon steel knife. A real god knife for the money. This is a knife you can depend on. Making fire in the forest with this knife, has a pretty good spine.

    Nice video you have made! I have just ordered this knife and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I just want to point out though that when I see you using your Silky saw, it seems that you are using to much pressure on the forward stroke. You should only apply pressure on the pulling stroke and also begin the cut with a pulling stroke. I have used my Silky Super Accel 21, among other Silky saws, in my work for pruning trees for more than 20 years now and the only times I feel it is useful to use the second setting of the blade is when cutting a limb from the underside, because when using it normally from above in that setting it doesn't bite as aggressive as it can. They are truly the best saws you can buy. Keep up the good work!

      @DGOutdoorLife  Před 5 lety

      Thanks man. Yes it's a great knife for the money. True about the silky I know how to do but takes some praktis to get ther. Trying to not put pressure on the fordward only on the pull. Thanks man tu pointing it out and thanks for watching.

    The 140 seems to be a perfect size, I know most people like the 150 but for me the extra edge is a big benefit for batoning and small chopping.
    Also I already have plenty of 4 inch blades like my Garberg so the 140 would be a great addition.....at least thats how I make an excuse for buying another knife😅😁
    Now if I can get one before they sale out next time ....I gotta get the credit card figured out cause it won't except mine.

    Hi DG Outdoor Life. I really like those pants you are wearing. What kind of pants are those (type, brand and model) and where can I find them. Thanks in advance. Have a great day. BTW, You gave a great review on the 140 and I appreciate the time and effort you put into it..

    • @DGOutdoorLife
      @DGOutdoorLife  Před 5 lety +1

      Thanks. All depends on if you like a bit longer blade. Its 140mm vs 110mm. Personally I like blades that's around 13cm so for me I prefer the 140. Play around with 2 knives one 110mm and one 140mm if you have. Take the one you think is right for your needs. 😉
