Most of the docs don’t knw about thyroid and hashimotos vastly …they just adjust the hormone tablets else I thnk most of the docs are ignorant in India about thyroid disorders ..thanx to you for giving so many informations

Thanks for a very good explanation of the thyroid. Can you talk about enlarged thyroid which grows in size from 20cm to 26cm. The doctor recommends a biopsy. I have no symptoms but fatigue. Where are you located?
Hi Dr Gupta How do we know that have Hashimoto or only hypothyroid ? Took thyroid medication Synthroid for 20 yrs, now on generic synthroid . I do have weight gain problem.receding frontal hairline, lab always comes normally.please guide

The problem is finding a doctor who will actually help..Most doctors don’t take thyroid problems seriously and don’t think it’s a big deal and only follow the TSH and refuse to order other labs.. I was in the hospital and begged them to test my thyroid which turned out to be a TSH of 90 and the ER doctor told me to follow up with my doctor in six weeks and sent me home 😂 For low potassium and sodium in my blood, he told me he didn’t know what to tell me except to advise me to eat more bananas 😂
I have all the symptoms of thyroid disease but in blood test T3, T4 and TSH all are in normal range. What to do?
