I'm always amazed that you can do such work in a nice dress. I'm always covered in whatever paint or glue I've worked with....

Love your idea of mosaic pattern….a suggestion would be to save the pebbles for the bottom of a shower in the bathroom (made into a flowery design) and use glass, or sea glass to create compass direction for the patio…orientated to where NORTH is designated, something you wouldn’t get tired of & is an orientation to show where your bearings are as well as for guests. (You and Sergi have fine truthful orientation with your amazing work ethic!)

I loved this segment. It might be nice to highlight the fountain by just cementing around the circle base. Simple is always good.

Now I see that you have made peace with the design of the fountain. The smaller slabs are fitting so well together around the center of the fountain. River rocks around the base are what you have been waiting to use. You had hoped to use them in a bathroom, but here they have found their home!
A little ‘retail therapy’ at the charity shop always gives you a lift to keep on going with your current project.
I think the drink platters would be a creative way to serve your guests. You have a gift for entertaining.

I was really hoping you’d be doing a pebble mosaic. You often showed us pretty places with this pebble mosaic pebble art. You said some day you will do it at your place. Good luck with that.

I enjoyed this, but even more I loved your Patreon video. The new windows installed and the big shopping trip for all of the important new bathroom things and the garden center visit. And the pebbly stones for the pattern around the fountain. A feast of lovely things to see.

The fountain is coming along nicely! Maybe a more natural mix of dark and light pebbles around the base of the fountain would look nice with the stones? 🥰

I agree I didn’t like the pattern but it’s not my place so I didn’t want to say it first. But here’s a thought. In the place you used to rent there were stone mosaic paths. Take a photo of a wave pattern and repeat it on the circle.

For the pebbles, i would opt for organic forms, like swirls and spirals.
or triangles, like a sunburst (fountain is the middle of the "sun")
or mimic tree branches like your murals.
i am sure you will find the right design with your good artistic taste.

Probably you will have to use some flexible dividers to separate dark stones from light ones in order to the pattern around fountain to look more regular

Mosaic artists often use much smaller pieces to create the visual lines. That have a limited changed in color and value.

The trick to laying a round vertical surface is using smaller pavers or making a bigger fountain.

do you need and overflow outlet for the pond as if it rains heavily it will fill up the pond and overflow . when it reaches the top. also how about broken pottery instead of the the stones ?

You can get battery operated candle sticks that actually flicker that use a remote if you can’t electrify your new chandelier

Perhaps a simple look with just one colour of the stones (white?) would look best. You don't want this pattern to compete with the beautiful work of the rest. Or use another natural larger stone?. These small stones/pebbles could be used for a different outdoor mosaic in a spot all by itself, as a feature. (A circular base under the prosecco table?)

Hello Alla and Serzi, you guys have an incredible imagination.. turning the old villa back to life. Your garden is beautiful!!
I just been wondering with the bathroom that you are currently renovating... shouldn't you remove all the earth between the original floor and the new floor that you are putting on top? It will take alot of the weight of the structure..?

    • @sergio.i
      @sergio.i Před 21 dnem +1

we opened old floor, installed pipes and electric wires in the sand under it, cleared old tiles and paved the old tiles back - so it will be the original floor but with all the communications under it, easy-peasy
