Well said Brian! I go the extreme tho. I'm 70 years young, and have a blown lower disc in my back. When feeling really good, I go by car on an all day shoot in the Southern California deserts and forests. So I take along 3 small packs. One is for my Olympus cameras, one is for my Olympus lenses, and the last pack is for my Olympus long lenses. I never know what I'll encounter, and the car is my suitcase so to speak. I am able to shoot from macro, critters, and landscapes. When off to the store or around town, I'll take my lil olympus EP-1 and the 12-42 EZ lens on it. Of course, when no cam, I always have my cell phone. Cheers!

Great video. So true. A camera in hand should be a must anytime you go out. Can't think of how many times I took my camera with no real intention of shooting anything, but coming across something amazing then pulling out the camera and getting the shot.
Also, loved the pics at the end of the video Brian😊

Great video, Brampton is a lovely little town.
I think a bit of wear a d tear is a sign of a well used camera. My old Fujifilm X-E2 was looking a bit tired when I replaced it. I looked after it but it went everywhere with me and it went around the world multiple times (I work in the maritime sector and fly around way too much).
Now my E-M1X goes everywhere, with the Zuiko 12-100 as the default lens.
At the risk of sounding like a dreadful amateur I also make heavy use of my Samsung S23 ultra camera phone. I know a lot of photographers recoil from camera phones but i find the S23 ultra gives very good results within its limits.

Brian, I was in northern New Mexico last October taking pictures of fall colors and on my way home to Denver I went through a small town that had a car show! Of course I already had camera gear with me but I stopped for more than an hour to take photos of old Studebakers and Duesenbergs. I really enjoy taking photos of collectible cars and always have a polarizing filter on my lens to cut down on all the reflections from the glass and shiny paint. A car show without a polarizing filter is a big mistake as far as I’m concerned.

Hi Brian, I always try to take along a camera when I am out on a ‘trip’. I have two m4/3 cameras, a Lumix G6 which is still a brilliant camera, and an original Olympus EM-1. I have 3 lenses, the fantastic Lumix 12-32 pancake lens, a Lumix 14-42 and an Olympus 40-150 all bought used. I must look at the 12-200 though. I print often to A3 and people beg prints off me to frame. I also have a tiny Lumix LX15 compact camera which takes superb photos and has so many features. On top of all those I also have a Canon 750d DSLR with two lenses. So really I have no excuse not to take a camera out with me! 😀

Nice cars - and nice photos too. Unfortunate the light wasn't better, but you still got the shots, and that's the most important thing.
I always carry a camera in my bag. Some weeks it's a Sony NEX-6 with a nice prime lens, other weeks, it's one of my MFT cameras - usually with the Lumix 20mm f1.7.
If my bag is full, I might bring a little compact like the Olympus XZ-1 (a favourite of mine), if my bag is light, I might grab a DSLR or a big hybrid. Even when the weather is terrible, and there is a 99,9% certainty, I won't get any use out of it, I still carry a camera - it just changes from week to week what I'm in the mood for.

I don’t routinely have a camera with me. Maybe I should but I don’t. I have the GX8/85/9. One of those bodies would do nicely. Either the PL15, P20 or 25 would make a nice combination.

Hello Brian. I'm a MFT user, and I almost always have a camera when out and about. Currently, I have been toting the Lumix G100, with a Lumix pz 14-42mm, Lumix 20mm, or the Olympus 12mm. The Lumix gx85 was my always carry (and still is sometimes), but the G100 is so small and light that it is easy to run around (although a bit small for my fairly large hands.) I also have a G95 and recently bought a used G9 at a bargain price. And, I have too damned many lenses. I usually shoot aperture priority at f4 or 5.6 and an ISO of 400. Weather, lighting, and other specific conditions of course influence settings. Peace.

Hi Brian, it's Ken here again. Well, what do I use mostly? I now have a G90 and I get some great photos from that. My only gripe is it has an OLED screen not an LCD screen so not to fond of that. I also have a G9. My everyday lens (At the moment) is an Olympus 12-200mm, I've only had that for a few days and I'm liking it. I have to get used to twisting the zoom ring the opposite way to a Panasonic. Have you tried that one. I have got the 14-140mm Panasonic, but I wanted a bit wider and longer. It is heavier and 72mm thread size but early results are promising. Cheers for now Ken.
