In this video, I want to talk about hot flashes. I’ve talked about different causes of hot flashes before, but I want to cover some other causes of hot flashes that you may not know about.
The hypothalamus is a region in your forebrain that controls the menstrual cycle. It works through the pituitary gland. Around age 52, you lose your ovarian function, also known as menopause. With that comes a loss of certain hormones. Your adrenal gland acts as a backup for these hormones.
    During menopause, you may experience:
    • Hot flashes
    • Night sweats
    • Anxiety
    • Depression
    • Stress
    • Muscle loss
    • Bone breakdown
Strengthening your adrenals is one of the best ways to help prevent menopause symptoms. You can strengthen your adrenals by getting quality sleep, lowering your stress levels, and normalizing your cortisol levels.
Your pituitary gland is a major storage site for vitamin E. When you go through menopause, your vitamin E levels may drop, which may cause more symptoms. A high-quality vitamin E complex can help reduce symptoms.
Iodine from sea help is also an effective remedy for hot flashes. Iodine helps balance estrogen dominance.
Improving adrenal function alone is typically effective. But there’s another cause of hot flashes, which is your liver. Your liver’s purpose is to detoxify chemicals, poisons, heavy metals, and excess hormones. It removes hormones when you have far too much.
The problem is, many people don’t have full liver function-especially after your 50s.
You can improve liver function by:
    • Consume cruciferous vegetables (or DIM)
    • Taking calcium D-glucarate
    • Detoxing the liver
    • Lowering ammonia
    • Increase liver circulation

I got rid of my hot flashes completely in about a month after I gradually worked from 1 teaspoon Of cold pressed organic flaxseed oil twice daily, up to 2 tablespoons daily. It regulated my hormones, and I didn’t get any hot flashes for almost a year while I took it. About three weeks after I stopped taking it, I started getting some again, but they were extremely manageable, And seem to lessen Over the next six months, then they disappeared. That was almost 10 years ago.

Eating kale doubles my hot flushes. Eating runner beans (phyto-estrogen) doubles them as well. But when I eat both together nothing changes, and I keep getting usual amount of hot flashes. Looks like both, too much and too little estrogen upsets the balance. Licorice root extract is an adaptogen which effectively reduces hot flushes for me, if I take it 2 x per day.

Thank you for the info! ♥️🌷 What about milk thistle to clean the liver from toxins? It's very effective and highly recommended in for example hemochromatosis, where liver stores all the iron entering the body, even the excess, which in turn poisons the entire body. People suffering from such illness show also way too low E-vitamin levels, but they're like dormant in an odd way, since when the excess iron is eliminated (often through phlebotomy) suddenly the E-vitamin levels go up like by magic without taking a single supplement.
I wish you could make a video of hemochromatosis one day. Many suffer from it without even knowing, and that causes premature death if not taken care of accordingly...

I had a hysterectomy 17 years ago. Now 63 yrs old. I mainly have occasional hot flashes during the day and sometimes hot head at night.
If I were to try some of these products...would I just choose one and try it a month and then if not successful, try a different one you mentioned? I was initially drawn to the adrenal support idea because I live with much stress. A difficult marriage and watch over my 90 yr old mom. Thanks

Acteane is a homeopathic that works for hot flashes and night sweats. How I used it was to take one as soon as I had a flash or night sweat. The heat would dissipate within a few minutes and not come back for hours. It provided a lot of relief, though not perfectly. Overall health improvement using natural means like Dr Berg's healthy ketosis and intermittent fasting is the way to go from my own experiences. I don't really need the acteane anymore - a few years in.
