Sami is not a francophone. You can tell by watching the video. He struggles for quite a few words and phrases in French. He's coversationaly bilingual, but still struggles somewhat with nuances in the language. And this is not a knock against Sami.
I saw these two perform regularly at PWG in Reseda, and I was also at this Mania. It truly was special knowing that I saw these two perform at a sweatbox with 400 people, then later saw them perform at a football stadium in front of 70,000+. Felt like a homecoming.

It's authentic and sounds nothing like Parisians speaking. The Canadians speak more like what Napoleon spoke..the new French dudes from France sound more like British,upper class types.

There are many different type of French , even in France we don’t speak the same French according where you are from eventhough everyone understand each other : the chti in northern France, south French, Parisian French and Swiss/Belgian French are different too. To compare imagine yourself speaking English with a British as an American, or with an Indian or a Nigerian, and you’ll get it

Well yes and no. French people outside of Quebec speak this. Those others are Franco Ontarians. Yes they are more like the Quebecers but they aren't actually quebecers..not if you aren't born there.
As a fellow French Canadian, my favourite part is them correcting each others French lol. For those that don’t know the difference between Quebec French and France French is the grammar. In Quebec we use a lot of slang where as in Paris they don’t. I wonder how many people from France actually understand them lol
i'm from Lyon and i fully understand them especially Owens. It’s obvious that Sami no longer speaks French so it’s harder to understand him but he’s still doing well
They’re giving me flashbacks to translating different French dialects 20 yrs ago to appease our Paris-born French teacher. 😂 Accents sounds so different than Quebec City. Cool to see them both waving that French Canadian flag.
@@oliverraven she made it part of translating when we did audio tapes/cd’s. Translate what they said, write where they are from at the end 🤷♀️ we had to know of they were French Canadian or from Quebec City, Parisian vs anywhere else in France, African, an islander etc.

Am guessing you mean interpreting? Dialects rarely need translating unless written phonetically.
