After 24 years of drinking, drugs, and partying. At the age of 40. I found God on an interstate to Lexington KY. My wife fought leukemia at UK hospital for the most of 2919-2021. The lord called her home but we both found God first. I'll see her in heaven. This song has gave me a lot of peace.

I buried both of my adult children who died 2 years and 2day apart. I walked through the wilderness for 17 years and Prayed without ceasing . God has pulled me through . I will have a reunion with them one day .

I struggled with drug and alcohol addiction for most of my twenties. I found God a few years ago while I was kayaking on the Chassahowitzka River. It was a gorgeous day in February (the best time of year in Florida). There wasn't a soul around me. Just the calm river, the breeze blowing the trees and the grassy marshlands, and the songs of bird. I felt overcome with both joy and serenity, and I have been sober ever since. I'm 33 now, and I have a beautiful family of my own. Praise God!

First time ive ever came across this song . I laid my wife rest today just a few hours ago . we have 3 beautiful young children 4-2 and 11. Never even heard of Larry fleet but for some reason this song showed up in my feed. Before even thinking about a bar stool this song helped me find god . so tommorow the kids and will go fishing . everything happens for a reason and there was a reason this video came to today. And I thank god for that.

I'm an addict and have been since I was 18. That was 2007. In my active addiction, I was completely out of control. I was selfish, dishonest, lustful, lazy, prideful, the list goes on.
Three years ago my son was taken from me. Then my partner of ten years died six months later.
My whole life I've been nothing but sinful. I tried to lie to myself and told myself I was a victim of circumstances. I always believed that I was not worth saving.
Last week, I cried out to God, my higher power, to save me. I thought about all the dirty, rotten things that I have done, all the sins in which I was ashamed. The pain was almost too much to bear.
I then accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior, and I believed in him, with my heart.
Five days ago, after hitting almost a year sober, I was stressed beyond belief. I may have stopped doing drugs, but I still smoke cigarettes. I've been smoking for almost 15 years. I started to smoke, and then, from somewhere, I heard a voice that said "You don't need it anymore.....you are FREE"
I was terrified. I didn't know what was happening. I heard that voice and threw the smoke on the ground. I kept hearing this voice, talking directly to me, and then I realized that GOD has heard my prayer, and so did JESUS.
My emotions were so high I could not stop crying. I HAD BEEN SAVED!!!
It was then that I started to understand. I forgave myself, and asked God to forgive me as well.
I knew I had to love myself, and for the first time in my life, I did just that. I went home to meditate, and as I was laying down my spirit became aware of my Divine Creator, and the glory of ALL his creations. My spirit travelled across space, time and dimensions. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced.
All of a sudden, things were happening to me, and I was protected by the angels which surrounded me. I couldn't believe it. Why me? Why was I worthy of God's love and salvation?
The next day, I started to receive messages from Him. Things that seemed random, but this was no longer a coincidence.
THIS WAS DIVINE INTERVENTION.
GOD SAVED ME BECAUSE I CALLED OUT TO HIM. BECAUSE HE LOVES EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT HAS EVER BEEN. HIS LOVE IS SO GREAT, AND WE NEED TO LOVE EACH OTHER.
I had to love myself before I could love another human being. I felt so different, like it wasn't even happening, like a dream.
I was so grateful, and after 33 years, I AM ALIVE.
I AM NO LONGER JUST SURVIVING.
I AM LIVING!
LIVING IN MOMENT!!
I started to follow where he took me. I realized that my purpose, and ALL of our purpose as the human race, is to LOVe one another, LOVE ourselves, and LOVE our Creator and His son, Christ. Our job in this life is to HELP one another, and to experience life the way He intended....Pure Bliss....Heaven on Earth. To feel it all.
WE NEED TO STOP HATING EACH OTHER. WE NEED TO START LOVING. BECAUSE LOVE CONQUERS ALL.

That's a great testimony. I've got a very very very long testimony and a majority of my testimony I'm still working on. And what I've come to realize with this comment the more I testify the more I learn about my testimony and I reckon the more powerful the more spiritually convicting my testimony is. There's nothing quite like that spiritual conviction. That's one thing I've learned about love if it's wrong loves going to call you out on your b******* and make you correct it and learn a valuable lesson it.

I've come to realize that God only comes to those who seek Him, so I have to continually allow Him to take the wheel and work in my life. Sometimes I try to take the power back (I'm still human, after all) and then, like the great words of Mike Tyson, "Everyone has a plan....until they get punched in the face."
God is the only one who can heal me, and to do that, I have to continue this journey with Jesus Christ in my heart.

The night I thought my mom was gone. I was 19 and I prayed that God would bring her back to us. He did and I went upstairs to repent for my sins and do "the deal". All I felt was love rushing over and over again for 3 hours. I'm 46 and haven't been the same since. Jesus really did pay it all.

I absolutely love the fellowship, but not all the judging and condemning between people that I've seen go home and use bible verses to find faults in each other. we've all not always lived by what it says, and we never will, but the God he sings about gave his son's life to save us all, and give us hope that everything we go through in this crazy life will be worth it in the end when we see heaven for the first time. keep the faith and live it how you live it. everyone's spiritual journey is unique. many people I know and love have already made it to their eternal home, and I can't wait to meet them there.

I have started to pray more to God and my life is getting easier to deal with.
Yes at one time I felt very close to God anytime I had a problem I gave it to him and it worked out. Of late it is hard to feel him near....so if you do feel him near try to keep it that way...
I can relate to both of you. I have been really close and really far from God but one thing I will tell you both is that even when you feel like your too far gone, He is right there closer than you think. And when you do feel close to Him and everything is going good make sure to thank Him for that because God is keeping you close and protecting you from something.
I never realize what it is but everytime I look back I understand why I felt so close at that time. He is a good good father and He accepts us for all of our flaws past, present, and future. He will take us as we are no matter what. Its so refreshing to know that.

There have been a lot of challenges in my life, but I found God in the mountains. At 12 years old I was hunting. I was born and raised in the Montana mountains. And I'm 59 now. He never let me down.
I grew up very religious and lost my relationship with God. After some hard years with depression and losing both grandparents during the pandemic I cant wait to get in a church and just pray.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss....both of them....it really is a tragedy. I am just finding out how to be a grandparent. I just never thought it could be so much fun. And, the love you have for them is crazy. I've tried to make sense of it and I just guess it stems from loving a child that came from your child....my love for my daughter is crazy and pure. She is a gift from God. He lent me something I didn't deserve. I just say this because I bet they both loved you so very much....I hope you can remember that as you work through this sadness. I pray that God will draw you close. And, you don't need a church to pray.....anytime, anyplace. I think this song is a prayer from Larry.
1 Cor 10:13 (in my own words) talks about how temptation (some hard years) can seperate a person from God. And separation is the worst thing of all. The people that will not make it to heaven are eternally separated from Him. And someone being very religious will not get them into heaven. Even if a person truly has Jesus in their heart, separation can still happen, while you are here on this earth. Thankfully because of His promise, never eternally. He wants you to enjoy them in the best ways you can. And, yes, years that can still be hard, but years you have been given. What's the other choice?
The reason I like this Bible verse so much is God promises that even though there are things that can cause a lost relationship or pull you away from God, He will always give you a way out to overcome the temptation.....like this song! The hard part is being sensitive enough to recognize that separation is happening. Separation does not act like a light switch....it can be a little at a time....like a dimmer switch....getting darker a little at a time. At least you now recognize those hard years are time. And those hard years is what makes you what you are. And, I bet a worthy person too!

Where I found God was in the rock bottom of my addiction to pills. 20 long miserable years trying to kill myself slowly. Finally God woke me up and said "I'm here"!! Wow Derek, what a story you have there. The highlight of your story for me isn't how far down you went before you saw God , but how long and far HE went to pick you up and get you "back home". We've all been a mess, or are a mess. But I'm a mess that is not forsaken or without hope. I hurts to see that so much has been lost in our lives by choices or responses we've made. But God made this world out of NOTHING. Rom 8:28 says He will use all our stuff for our good. Not that all things in our life ARE good --- but He will use them for our good.
Some things are just broken. Messed up and we can't go back. But because God said what He said --- I know that He will make sense of it all someday. If I didn't know He would do this, I'd have given up and died from heartache years ago. When absolutely nothing seems True and nothing is right, He is still gonna make sense of it all. May not see it on this earth, but His promises are law. Rock Solid. That is why I can make it through today . And Derek, that is the Father/God who has found YOU --- and you found HIM.

I just heard this song on an ad on my playlist I got off my bike stopped so I could look it up. Cuz this song is true I go out to a park daily since I've lost my job to pray to God for something to come you don't need go to church specially during these times God is everywhere he speaks to me at that part louder I've ever heard him before in my life. my mom's a preacher I've been going to church my entire life but I never heard God as loud as I have at that Park. If you listen for the voice of God just be quiet to spiti where you are. I think that's what he's trying to say in this song doesn't matter where you are just sit quiet.

Now I often find Him on the river, in my deer stand and in the peace of a beautiful sunrise or sunset or when I look at my children. I am thankful for a God that loves me just like I am but didnt leave me like He found me.
Yes this is how we find GOD... Left my city all the mess of my old life behind. All I had was a coachbag with my workwear, a Bible and a radio 📻. I went to a farm. My Pastor sent me there. In the midst of the german forest I made my first steps as a christian. And when I look back from now I realised Jesus gave me everything living country... The misty mornings, the campfire with the boys, doing carpenterstuff, going to Church, reading Bible, sharing life with brothers & sisters 🕊️... Now I'm living urban, but Jesus never left me... I found God when I was dying of spinal meningitis. I was in a coma and so much pain. Then all of a sudden I had this warm feeling wash over me. I saw Jesus and he was the most beautiful man I've ever seen.

Hi Judith I hope and pray everything is going good for u. MY name is Dave.I almost died in 2012 I had Mersa and went Septic 3 surgery's later I had my new hip put in. For a year and 3 months in a nursing home and Rehab they were given me Antibiotics every 6 hrs through a IV Then they had surgery to put in a spacer because the Antibiotics were to slow Pain couldnt walk. Then one day I ask God to take me home. I felt a presence over me .He help and healed me
I caught it on a train a baby I'm alive 62 now I've been through hell but never lost my faith in God. Just lost my son overdosed on meth laced with fentynol killed him I miss him. Cry every day. Awful these drugs killing so many. Generations lost

I don't know you, but I'm glad you're still here! I fought depression myself and since I have ADHD it will probably come back later on in my life, but the fact that I know I can fight the depression together with God makes me ready for that fight! Pray to Jesus, because he is the way to God.
12 years ago I was on a work holiday in Malawi, Africa. There was a man who came to speak to our group how he found God in his troubled life full of sins and drug abuse.. Once he saw me, he told me that the night before God has spoken to him and told him that he would meet me today and he had to tell me that God has a big task for me.
At first I wouldn't believe him, since I was in a phase of my life where I wanted to be free and be sort of a rebel.. But a few years later I found my way back to God and I learned that since I started talking with Jesus, my prayers we're being awnsered.
God always gives signs on the most random moments, you just have to look for them. Jesus helps you a lot to know where to look!
