My brother passed away last night! He was diagnosed with lung cancer about six weeks ago. It was hard, aggressive and fast. He was a retired 1st sgt in the army and fought several tours for this country. He was a tough man with a soft streak for his loved ones. He loved us hard. I just love the way this song is written. Like yes it is sad but its also about remembering the best parts about the people you care about. And celebrating them.
Literally, one of the best songs ever written. It makes me think of my mom and dad. This song gives me the hope I need, and it gives me peace knowing that one day I will see them again in Heaven. I saw Hardy, Larry Fleet, and Morgan Wallen last night in concert. I loved Hardy’s music before last night, but after seeing them perform, they are hands down one of the bests! ♥️

my mom passed away July 6. 2022 in my arms. I played this song for her in the few days before she passed. I told her this song was written with her in mind. She smiled and laughed. One of the last smiles she had in this life. I played it as we spread her ashes. I know she was up there smiling big as she looked down on us

I just lost two of my best friends back in April, one died from an overdose and the other died from a brain aneurysm and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about them and cry. RIP HALEY LANGWAY and NATHANIEL BEAN, I'll see you when it's my time to go, give everyone a huge hug for me. Man I would give ANYTHING to be able to rewind time and say goodbye and I love you so much.

Just heard this song for the first time this morning. February 23 my brother Shawn passed away, 4 months before his 38th birthday. The day before he passed his childhood friend Steven passed away but neither knew the other had passed. A week after that I said to my dad that I thought Shawn and Steve are giving heaven a little hell and this song reminds me so much of him ❤️

Man this song came out in such a weird but perfect time... One of my brothers friends had a major crash on his dirtbike, airlifted out, and couldnt make it... That was a few weeks ago, last saturday we rented out a track and everyone came out with their bikes to honor him. Today is his funeral, hundreds of his friends came on their bikes and in their trucks. He truly touched everyones heart and we all love and miss him. A lady named Kim introduced me to this song. When I met Kim, I was waitressing at a small casino and Kim was a regular. She was going through throat cancer treatments and was skin and bones. She would come into the restaurant because she loved the house brownies. Not only was she fighting cancer, but also had buried her son that year. She is in remission now, but recently had to bury her husband too and still struggles to keep the weight on. Despite everything she's been through She has a special glow about her. She is one of those people who can't hide her sweetness because just being in her presence just makes you feel better whether you know her or not. One night, she gave me a ride home and played this song. She had just gotten back from Night in the Country and saw Hardy live. She said this song was a favorite of her son and that when he played it, she was overwhelmed and comforted by the presence of him. She said that his spirit was there with her during his performance. I always think about that when I listen to it. It truly is something special, and I am honored to know her story and this song. Thank you ❤
