I know a guy who came second in the Ghana Army recruitment assessment. He couldn't pay bribe so his slot was given to someone else. He presented his case to the British Army and he was recruited straight away. He's in the UK now, I personally vouched for him.
Went through the same thing. Did my national service after Legon at MOD Burma Camp. Applied to be an officer in the Ghana Army and was rejected because I couldn't come up with $1000 in 2008 to a Colonel. I won the US visa lottery, came and joined the US Marines with no issues. Ghana, nsem pii.

I’m 6.3 feet tall with Vehicle Mechanics experience and I also play basketball very well. I love military and have been in cadets since Koforidua Technical Institute (Kotech). Almighty Ghana Military rejected me. They didn’t tell me anything. They just asked me to try next year. They selected a lot of beautiful unqualified girls and some jon boys.
In Israel 🇮🇱, joining the military is compulsory. Right after secondary school you are recruited to serve the nation for two to three years, afterwards you choose to continue a military personnel or you choose to quit and do your own thing…. Ahhhh my motherland Ghana 🇬🇭 😢😢😢😢

I was in the enlistment in the year 2016. after the screening we were 197. and were told they need 200 people. Later during the trade test 40 people from no where joined us and thus how I was flash off.

I also tried to join the Fire Service ending of 2021...that one was even worse than my GAF experience. Even the people in the initial body selection screening room will be taking money from the jobless youth trying to get recruited.

I remember I was on my bed and my brother texted me if I wanna join immigration or cocobod and I chose immigration it came on a silver platter so I don’t give a damn to those people who senior me in the service cos at the end of the day I have nothing to lose I’ll deal with you if you mess with me

This biases in our country particularly when it comes to the military recruitment is very appalling. Being a soldier has always been my vision and is something I desired and not just to enter because I had no choice in life. But the amazing thing is that my height as the man said disqualified me. As it stands now, I'm a master's student I still hope to find myself in the military but again I'm concerned about age and still height because I have consulted few soldiers and my age will disqualify me.
