My grandpa's favorite singer and my mom's favorite song. When I was a child, my grandpa used to sing Sinatra's songs as he played the piano. That's one of my most cherished memories.

NOSTALGIA 🤗🤗🤗👏👏👏I had the pleasure of watching him live in Reno long ago. I was in the front row. He was standing on the stage I was so tempted to touch his shoe. I could have just reached his shoes but I was scared that I would have been escorted out out. But boy I was that close to him. I can never forget that. He was my first favorite singer. I was fortunate to see him live in 1990 in Sweden. I'm Norwegian and remember my step dad was a big fan, so we traveled to see him in Sweden. I was around 14years old an treasured every moment :) So glad I got to see this icon live before he passed away.

Kind of to your point the song is more of a mature person’s song. Sure...younger people can sing it...but it is about looking back upon one’s achievements and also regrets and disappointments. So those crispy breaks in his voice and “imperfections only add to the emotion and overall effect.

I have read Frank was an extreme perfectionist about phrasing- he hated popping "p's". He was in complete control of his performances. He and Judy Garland were iconic performers- legends. Please consider an analysis of the great Judy Garland.
