- In this video I show you a practical use for the backseats of a 2020 Subaru BRZ Sport-tech RS when I install a car seat. The car may not be practical for adults, but the seats do work well for young children and car seats!

you are a Boss! ... looking to get a 2022 this year ... still keeping my beater SUV but might need to use this one for kids in a pinch
That’s the best way to put it (in a pinch). I love my car so it’s worth the little bit of hassle to get the seat in and out (not much more difficult than a 4door if just here and there). I’m excited for you. The 2022 is amazing and I’m sure you will love it! Thanks for the feedback:)
What car seat was that ?
Hey great vid! Do you think this also applies 2 seaters? Just got a 23 GR Supra.
Thanks! I don’t believe the Supra has the LATCH connectors for child safety seats which I can only assume means they weren’t designed with children in mind. Not sure on the laws or rules but I’d have to say unless there is a proper airbag shut off (like some vehicles have) then no. But definitely look into it as I’m not sure:)
What model is that car seat?
I believe it is a Britax - Boulevard click tight.
What about rear-facing child seats? Do those fit the BRZ/GT86?
I’ve had both front and rear facing seats in my BRZ regularly. I’m a dad and use it as my daily driver. That said, I bought slimmer car seats and when the seat is installed the front passenger seat has to go forward so far it makes it unusable. So essentially, it can only be the driver up front and if someone is behind them it is tight for everyone lol.
@@Neutralreviews Thanks for such a detailed and quick reply. Super helpful. One more question: have you ever tried to put a child seat in rear-facing but in the front? I know then you have to turn off the airbag and you can't use isofix, but still: is it an option?
Wife asks: How well do foldable strollers fit in the boot?
@@yuchoob I always assumed it was illegal here (may not be) so I’ve never tried or even considered. I know my dad had a 2door pickup truck a long time ago that you could stick a key into an airbag shutoff switch but not sure on the BRZ (sorry). I don’t have a stroller to try and never used one in my BRZ but I’d think not…my trunk is huge if the backseats are folded down but in this context the seats will be up and in that case it is barely bigger than a Miata lol. I’d have to say I wouldn’t recommend the car for regular rear passenger use (kids or otherwise) unless you’re a nut like me and is willing to make it work. And for the regular passenger (wife lol) because it is extremely tight for the them. Good luck:)
thanks for posting! I am interested in this car but only if I can fit my babies in the back! Do you think 2 will fit back there? How much leg room do you have in the front with it in? Thanks!!
Great questions! I would imagine you could fit 2 but depends on how tall you are as a driver. I’m 5’ 7” and I like sitting far from the steering wheel so if a had a seat behind me they’d r tight but if I moved up a couple inches it would give more room but I find driving stick awkward like that. We have another more practical car for day to day but mine is more than adequate in a pinch:)
