    As an ETO also in Container Ship, i would to commend you for having this series of videos not only help those aspiring and new ETO but also veterans ETO. Being an ETO needs constant learning specially with the different types of trouble we might encounter onboard. You're videos are much more effective compare to any trainings center on shore.. Keep it up lec and safe voyage always.

    Very interesting, but I would have liked to see more Lockout/Tagout on the valves and breakers. With people working in the Buss Gear, lives are on the line. A piece of tape saying Do Not Touch, isn't enough.

      We're used to seeing things the way they are handled in the US where production employees throw breakers without giving one thought to who's on the other end of the circuit. I would say the ship employees are much more disciplined.

      The best power you'll get when you're first time alone as an ETO. No one to ask, no one to help...it is YOU, who has to think, how to solve a problem...

    What do others do? What is there to do?

    I remember replacing the cargo holds lamps, after a huge fire we h on our vessel. Everything was tagged and locked out. After removal, I was asked to check the job (I was ETO). When I came down to the lowest level, one lamp was not mounted and a cable powered with 220V was hanging. People were walking around...so...

    If you have it you should post some unedited footage of disconnecting the generator with no voiceover, the background sounds would be awesome.

    You make it sound as if, ahead of the game, if you will, careful thought and mock-ups have been exercised to all but insure vessels travel from point A to point B absent, along the way, snagging or flat taking out a bridge or two along the way ...

    Sir we have a problem on testing of emergency load test but anfortunately when we start push the sequence test the emergency generator doesnt auto start we check relay and all are good and the ESB not close automaticaly because this breaker supply to the relay when genset. Run .and we try manual closing the breaker at the same time the breaker doesnt react or work what is the main cause sir..

    Bro put a proper tag out device on the breaker. Don't write do not touch on a bit of tape, you playing with fire mate. you'll get some one killed by doing that.

    • @shyster717
      @shyster717 Před rokem +1

      Sure...tag is important. But...do you think that an ordinary AB or MM will see the breaker and think ... hmm... I will switch it on? No way...
