Morissette 🇨🇦present- Mori popularized this song and it became viral. ABS CBN The Broken Marriage Vow TV Series and Mr Jonathan M approached Morissette and asked to revisit and Revise GKNB. Full credit goes to Miss Sheryn Regis as this is her original song. Her version is very good but there is a difference between Morissettes powerful chest voice and resonance which is dominant. Also her diction as well as her enunciation, pronunciation equates to a rich velvety smooth like butter are sound💯
Wow, what a showdown! Sheryn's version (her own original composition) has clearer delivery, with her distinctive crisp voice. On the other hand, Morisette's version has more emphasis on some notes--with her usual whistles though they're not necessary. It's quite a different arrangement. You're right, Wale, there's more drama with her delivery. Kudos to the talents behind the song's arrangements--Jonathan and Adonis!

Sheryn is impossible. Their versions are like portraying two faces of women, hurting and now letting go. Sheryn is like an exhausted delicate woman, giving up after fighting, being strong and holding on for so long. While Morisette, is like a woman who's already decided and determined to let go, after realizing that it is no longer worthy fighting for.
And Morissette is out of this world!!!

Sheryn is a brilliant singer with several original hit songs. She left in 2010 to migrate in the USA and went back in 2021 to continue her passion in singing. At the age of 42, she can still hit the notes like she was in her younger days. Sooo much respect to Sheryn!

Sheryn is one of the best and known for OSTs of most teleseryes in ABS CBN. Its like 2nd gen and mori is 3rd gen hehe
For Sheryn's version, i believe the producer/songwriter of the song wanted her to deliver a raw emotional story. While Morissette's rendition, he created a melody that would have the feeling of releasing all the angst, anger and frustration. Morissette's version was used as the official soundtrack for a teleserye in ABS-CBN, a perfect choice to narrate what the main character went through.

Sheryn is making a confession. Morisette is making a statement. I love how you put into perspective that they are not actually two singers that you have to choose which sings better. You can just end up relating more to one interpretation because thats where you stand in. That is not an issue of who is the better singer but who connects more to where you are in this song.

I'm from the Philippines and I only learned today 10/18/2022 that Sheryn and Morisette sang the song together, this has been a debate here about who sang it better the original or the cover, but for me, they did so well and the song is truly an art piece which is an addition to the songs in karaoke that'll be really challenging to sing. Kudos to you both for enjoying our OPM songs. I actually love both versions of the song, even the cover with Regine.
You literally said what's on my mind. They both have different take of this song. Morissette's version is giving me that feeling of releasing the anger, frustration, the pain that she has deep inside, finally letting go with the sense of unforgiving. While Sheryn's version is giving me the feeling of Pain, longing and finally accepting/giving up.
Both divas are really great! This is one of my favorite duets of all time in the Philippine music industry.
You said it best. That's why many people identify with Sheryn's version, is because of the emotions she was presenting. She was coming from a place of sadness, quietly reeling from pain. Perhaps because of the implications that letting go may bring, she's stuck in a dilemma. Even when she's belting hard, one thing is evident in her version, is that she seems just crying for help from deep inside. While Mori was coming from a place of anger. And you know when you're young and angry, you feel like you could do anything. haha You could easily just walk out and not look back. That's why you can sense strength and empowerment in Mori's version. Just 2 different women with different life circumstances. You can quite get the similarity of Sheryn's to Regine's rendition as well. I guess it just comes with age--the circumstances you face are different. Nevertheless, both versions are spectacular!
But daaaaamn Sheryn at 42 still a force to be reckoned with!! What a historic moment!! An incredible exposition of vocal prowess from The Multiverse. haha This is why you don't mess with Bisaya singers. Amazing Sheryn and Morissette! 🙌🙌🙌

@@raymondencinas.official umm Morissette's voice is well rounded so it's somewhere between low and high voice but Sheryn's voice is very light so it's more on the higher voice so she can hit high note easily even without proper technique.For Morissette she can easily support her low,mid and high register which can makes it very easy for her to suddenly drop a high note or a sudden increase of note much easily that's why in my opinion Morissette have higher vocal range than Sheryn
