How to unlock the trunk of a 2015 Hyundai Sonata

If the key fob, trunk release button inside, or trunk button doesn't work then this video will show you the secret to unlock your trunk. Extremely simple but like I said in the video the person at the service department didn't know either, they had to call someone else over to show us.

Set my keys down in my trunk as I was loading items into it. Closed trunk and realized my keys were in it. And doors were lockedI found your video. Thank you!! The issue comes up when the owner can't easily find the keyhole, then they're assuming there is none. There is no way a car manufacturer would not have a key to manually unlock a trunk. They even have a latch to unlock it from inside the trunk. You picked the right subject to talk about here. Thank you!

Thank you so much! I didn't see the key hole and when we were hauling something in my sonata the lock out switch got hit, didn't know it so I couldn't open the trunk. Once I saw this I was able to get into the trunk and hit the switch back.

Thanks, battery died and first had to figure where the battery was and then how to get in the trunk. Hidden key hole, who knew. I was ready to go through the back seat opening with a stick to try and pull the emergency latch.

When the latch breaks and they key will not even open it is an entire different problem. not even the emergency release in the trunk will work. I did discover how to get in, and have posted a video on it....

actually you might have a lock latch when you open that is like a flip switch... if you flip it down, you wil never have to do this using manual key open every time
