How to Safely Wash Your Tesla with No Hose

- In this video I show you how to wash your car if you live in an apartment or have no access to a hose. I have everything linked that you will need to do the same thing and I hope this is helpful if you don’t have access to a hose or are not allowed to wash your car in your driveway.

Great Video! A great feature of that bucket you have is that it has the grate at the bottom to allow the grit to sink to the bottom and not get back on the sponge. Also, it's a good idea to fold the microfiber cloth into 4 so you have a clean section of the same cloth for the next panel. I usually use the same microfiber cloths from Costco (great deal) and use one folded plush side out for initial wipe and one folded plush side in to buff! Great content as always! I have been doing the waterless thing for a few years now. I just keep it in the garage and it works great. Obviously not recommended if really dirty but I am sold on the process. I try to explain it to people and they act like I recommended they use sandpaper on their car.

Glad to see someone else that don’t use water ! I’m a painter body man and restored it 20 years ago and never have washed it with water!! It just rots the seams, cause you can’t get it out of the places it hoes

It's definitely not insane - nothing wrong with wanting a clean car! My neighborhood isn't quite as strict as some you mentioned, but when I clean my car I usually see a Karen or two peering in my direction, looking on with disdain as I clean my (in their eyes) already clean car. Mine is dirty. I need to go clean my car. I am super picky about it and like to keep it clean...this is definitely helpful for people that don't have access to a hose. Thanks for another great video!
Glad you gave some tips on washing the microfiber towels. Use a light soap like Tide Free and Gentle, wash on cold and no heat drying. Too much heat will melt the microfiber. Thanks for the vid!

Good tips on the microfiber towels. My car is currently dirty as hell since I am in Michigan and it is below freezing. Above 40F temps coming soon though.

What an invaluable video! I would say this is also something for people in colder climates. My water taps for the outside are all turned off at this point of the year, and this gives me an option without having to rely on an outside water source! Thanks, homie.

hope it all works, ordered several of the items you recommended. In two or three days I look forward to peeling a layer of bugs off my new Model Y. We're not as hot here in Alabama during the day as you often are in Tucson, but its still an best an early morning activity here in the summer.

No rinse washes are great. I just went on a road trip from SoCal to Scottsdale a few weeks ago. I actually brought a small chemical guys bucket already filled with water, Optimum No Rinse wash, a Big Red Sponge, and a handful of Costco yellow towels. That way while charging at the supercharger in Scottsdale just outside the DWR store I was able to wash my tesla before my car finished charging. The car looked great, then it rained that night lol.

I started using the hydrosilex waterless wash last year and have been really happy with it. It’s been great for times when the car is slightly dirty instead of it’s normal dirty out here in Pittsburgh.
Right that’s the perfect time to use the hydrosilex wash. Leaves the car so sleek too
Those colored.microfiber towels other than the white ones can discolor your Xpel and car wraps the dyes bleed thats why it’s recommended that you wash them first. If you put a new one in water you’ll see for yourself.I learned the hard way.

Liked and what are the chances you just posted this video. I live in Ohio and today it was 35 degrees, couldn't use the hose that was frozen, so I just kept going in and refilling rinse bucket and used separate wash bucket. Froze up the end up of my driveway, but worked, lol. Dedication to keep a clean Tesla!

Ever since I took delivery of my MY last year I’ve been cleaning my car using aircraft grade waterless wash. Rain water will just slide down without leaving a marks.

Thanks for the tips Gjeebs I might have to try this out. Brand new Model Y owner and did a car wash the other day. The water would freeze on the driveway in the shade from the car it was that cold out. Previously I was an automatic car wash guy but as you said in the beginning this is my first nice car I’d like to keep it looking fresh.
These were some great tips! I have a Sprinter and I use a heck of a lot of water to wash it. I’m gonna have to try this method.
