For a long time now I've been having issues with my hands falling asleep from the vibration in my handlebars. Hearing that the Fasst Company Flexx handlebars provided massive improvements in ride comfort and vibration damping made me think that there is a solution at hand that would solve that problem. It has been almost a year since I bought my first Flexx bars but I was delayed because I ran into a few problems. As good as the Fasst Co Flexx bars are in terms of build quality and innovative design, they don't allow you to turn your levers down as far as I'd like. I started with the enduro bars and ended up with the ADV bars because they are wider and allow for more space to adjust your levers and equipment. Despite the fact that I couldn't turn down my handle bars, I was convinced to move forward with installing the ADV bars because of a podcast episode that we had with Anthony Johnson.

In this podcast episode Anthony explains how as he has improved in his riding skills, he as moved is body position further back which has caused him to move his lever position back up because of the more aggressive riding position. This convinced me to move forward with the Fasst Company Flexx bars which I install in this video. I also give my first impressions and an initial review in this video but there is more to come. I will be installing the Fasst Company vibration damping inserts as well as the wrap around guard mounts that allow the guards to rotate as the bars flex. Stay tuned for more as we go down this rabbit hole to find out if the Fasst Company products really are the secret to improving ride comfort and reduced vibration.

Dude that lever setup is crazy ! Having them so far down will have you reach over for them while sitting it’s not ideal

We don't ride sitting unless we're resting while moving. You'll want the levers aimed in line with your arms when you're in "attack position".

Move your levers up and you can put the proper amount of weight on your handlebars, in the proper place on your hand and your fingers won’t go to sleep.

Great thorough and honest review Jon. It's ironic, Chris and I bought the Flexx bars for the same reason 2 years ago, namely the Big Bear Run hard route. He was able to plaque both years - one year sans a front brake. We both agree with your sentiment that we weren't awestruck by the amazing comfort it brought. Where we see the difference is that it helps with endurance fatigue. When you're doing 200miles in 12 hours and you can no longer tell if your arms are attached to your body, these Flexx bars make a difference. Your proposition of running the MAKO in addition is interesting, but I'm not willing to spend $800 total on a handlebar setup. BTW - I run the tapped bar inserts and the TUSK Flexx bar mounts. Both are great products. Good luck this year with the Big Bear Run.

bro you need to put the blue elastomers on it and use 2 on both sides like they come. i ran both single and double on each side and it does make a difference. i have the mako now and am selling it to go back to flexx bars and inserts. also if your suspension isn't valved for your weight it does make a big difference in ride comfort. I'd sell ya my mako and save you some money if a guy wasn't picking it up tuesday. i know you want your levers turned down but two Elastomers on each side makes a difference. i thought about getting both but $900 ain't in the budget for handlebar vibrations for me. good luck on whatever you choose to do. by the way i have basically same bike as you 08' 300xcw

I wouldn’t recommend the flex bars for vibration damping but the vibration damping inserts by themselves work really well. They’re just a pain to install. I’d start with those before investing all the money into the flex bars
