Shanghai is definitely the best and my fav city in China. It's cool to see a Finnish guy living in Shanghai, as I do not know any foreigner in China that is from Finland. And I've been to Helsinki once, it's so different. Hope u enjoy you exchange student life in SH.

so... ... the point for soup in china -- it is rather like a drink accompany with your food, instead of drinking water or juice or alcohol, in China we drink soup - it is warm and favorable. It is not really like soup in the west that is considered as a "dish", the soup in China is for drinking. That is why in English people say eat soup, but in Chinese we say drink soup. Just culture diffenrence if you live in China long enough to know about.

I've always been attending international schools back in high school, secondary and primary school in shanghai, and I never knew how it felt to be in a uni there and be able to explore local things even tho it's my hometown.
