Big tide at Bondi beach, the waves fill the Icebergs Club pool. The sea wasn't even that rough. 3:47 shows what it's like normally [a week later]. Bondi Beach, Sydney, Australia, 8 Dec 2013.
Nurse Cici Unfortunately thats the way its going to be,, because no one believes that its going to happen they Will be cought by surprise as the bible tells us,, few Will escape
....loved this pool (s)...used swim here from '46---'63......my Dad had a unit, in the blocks on the North end, when he retired Anyone got info on "the bogey hole" ....on the tip of the NORTH point....?? I used hurl myself off there and ride the swell down and up and over into a "bogey hole"..... BONDI was / is BONZA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I used to swim there for school sport when I attended Clovelly Public in 1973..my grandfather was a well known local, shark spotter, swim coach and lifeguard called Alf Vockler.
Actually, there was a pool at the point between Tweed Heads and Coolangatta. What happened to it? I used to holiday there, and swim in that pool with my g/f.
@@Robochop-vz3qm Could be that. It was like an open pool run my salt water entering and leaving with the tide. Do you have any old pictures of the pool, Robochop? Lucky I have some.
What strikes me as weird is the silly people stayed in the pool and on deck. Water is powerful. At least watch this incredible site from a safe distance.
Most of those people swim in that pool daily even in winter (Bondi icebergs)..a little wave over the top aint gonna scare them...I used to swim there when I was young...its pretty safe.
I used to work at that pool, the surf is rarely big enough to crash over the side like that. Most of the time the ocean and the pool water don't meet and the pool water is calm like any outdoor pool. Once a week when the pool water is drained out, the surfaces cleaned, and then the pool is refilled by pumping in seawater. The pool was built maybe 75 years ago, and it really gets hammered in storms, so Engineering success I think.
almost every beach in Sydney has an ocean pool, Bondi has two. They are filled with sea water replaced about once a week and usually the waves aren't big enough to crash over the side like in the video. It means people can swim in very safe water with no waves or currents (e.g. old people and kids).
The pool is designed to be filled with seawater, most people use it when the tide is not at full tide. This is one of many around the Sydney coastline free to public
I'm a LOSER. U have a great life and you're the best at living I've ever seen.
that was awesome ...txs for upload 5 yrs ago... ;-)
This is what I came here for, to see how big waves interact with that pool. I'd still go in lol
I like how the one lady stay swimming in her lane like the apocalypse has not begun all around her

Gorgeous pool. Legendary spot.
Wow, some beautiful surf!!
I love it in winter with the ocean stretching and the sun pounding with mild arctic air but not too cold so only a fleece jacket will do, so healthy!
Beautiful and amazing at the same time.

I wonder whats the upkeep price of that place every year.
Is it dangerous to swim in the first pool?
The bigger one
No I live in Bondi it is fine. Just some bigger than normal waves that day.
хороший отель, при сильной волне смоет полностью )))
What happens when you build a little too close to the ocean and forget about those super tides coming in.
No, these pools are designed for exactly what you see here.
Where is it ?
Bondi Beach, Sydney Australia.

Ado Bodfodder Wowwww!!!
hebatnya orang luar negri udah tah begitu masih ada yg renang santai ... wkwkwk... salutt
An ocean is very, very dynamic. The designers of Bondi Iceberg have forgotten the safety of the guests.......
Очень красиво

The sea level is rising. What was safe when you were young may not be safe any longer.
My family lives down the road and still swims there..so yeah, it is.
