  • Tanks, since their inception in the early 20th century, have served as formidable tools on the battlefield, playing a pivotal role in the strategies of various military forces. However, they've also been wielded by some regimes as symbols and instruments of dominance.
This compelling documentary delves into the history and evolution of tanks, examining their impact on technology, human psyche, culture, and societies at large. Renowned historians and military specialists guide the audience from the initial tank confrontations in 1918, spanning the tense periods of the Cold War, up to the significance of tanks in modern military engagements.

The cavalry evolved its roles as infantry became more and more deadly. Finally the cavalry gave up the flesh&bone horse and human rider with a fully armoured "car" and engine and driver.
Now that infantry has handheld anti tank guns, the "tank cavalry" will simply attack infantry units from the side or bypass them altogether- w/c brings us to the essence of a tank: which is not its big gun or thick armor but rather it travels faster than a person can walk.
A hundred tanks at just 40 kms per hour will cover 400 kms in just 10 hours

“150 Maus were built” simply not true. My boy Mark Felton Productions has a great video on the Maus that I highly recommended. Only 2 prototype hulls were made “operational” with the turret being tested and built separately before work was abandoned. The 2 “operational” Mauses (or mice rather? ) we’re both destroyed by the Germans as the soviets advanced.

Oh my lord. That's what the video says. What's wrong with you boy, it says there are two, both destroyed. One put back together and the Russians have it. Come on dude

Where on Earth did that guy from Bovington get the idea Canada got rid of all it's tanks???? We have never disbanded our Armoured units and have been using Leopards since the days of the Leo 1.

In modern combat thousands of tanks are needed. Canadas 80 tanks wouldn't be enough FOR ONE DAY OF HEAVY COMBAT. Ukraine has more soldiers in Aavdika, A SUBURB, than Canada has total soldiers.
So yes, realistically speaking Canada doesn't have any tanks..
