@@warlord_drums I hope so! It seems they’re completely committed to being back in 1999, and that Pappy and Harriet’s gig had a reinvigorated energy to it. But with Eloy’s drumming, could it be something even heavier? That power is something special. With him, perhaps they can explore new realms. What do you think?

Eloy is a beast I think slipknot are going old school back to when they 1st hit scene,I can't think of any other harder hitting drummer in metal atm he is perfect for slipknot they are perfect for him.🤙😎🤙

Spot on analisis. In regards to the ''disgruntled fans'', honestly, at this point all the constant whining about the band is getting old. No one knows the inner works of a band like that, and the entitlement some people feel about being owed explanations about everything or whatever else, is childish to say the least. A band like that is a business, whether you like it or not. If you don't like the band anymore just stop listening to it, just as you would stop using a product from a brand you don't like. Frankly, with the addition of Eloy, and the massive fan base coming with him from Brazil, Slipknot will be just just fine.
I'm one of those fans that had moved on a few years ago. I would see live footage from the past couple of years and the stage show looked like a circus with so much going on. However, I'm a big fan of Eloy's and from the footage of the first couple of shows, I'm interested again.....if nothing else, to see how he does in the band. I do like their "back to their roots" decision and it'll be interesting to see where they take it.

It wasn't only expected that Eloy would be officially announced as the new drummer, it was something that actually everyone in São Paulo's metal scene knew for a few months... People talk.
I am not personally a Slipknot fan, but I hope this will be a good time for Eloy and for the band.
Specially in Brasil, we have a feeling that we're always struggling to keep metal alive and it's kinda sad that one of our best drummers have to play for an american band to thrive.
If you want, I leave the suggestion for you to analyze previous Eloy's drums lines from his former bands, maybe showing his evolution...

@@warlord_drums my favorite of the bands that Eloy worked for? Eloy played in Aclla, Andre Matos solo band, Gloria (this band played in 2011s RockInRio and they had to deal with the crowd booing them because they were seen as "emo", which annoyed the metalheads, until Eloy started a drumm solo that made the audience change their minds) Iahweh and Sepultura. Andre Matos for sure is my favorite along with his recent project Casagrande & Hanysz. Maybe you can react a bit to these bands chronologically and show his evolution, or show some different techniques that he incorporated through time... Something that can contribute to your channel and the students 😉
Eloy Casagrande is a better drummer the Joey Jordison. Also. Time to let the dude go. He won't be coming back. RIP.
People more talking abt Joey actually changed how metal drummer drum. He innovated. That’s why he’s talked abt and missed. Now all metal drummers are inspired by Joey, Eloy included. I also think Eloy has surpassed joeys talents as well. With joeys disease he could barely play some of his own drum beats anymore. It was sad and who it lingers so long I think.
Joey didn't commit suicide. He died of a neurological disorder. Look it up.

@@jimmylarge1148very sad and still haunts me to this day. We will never truly know the words that were spoken to Joey upon his dismissal.
