If the bottom left has no mic or keyboard go to settings -> general management -> keyboard list and default -> toggle ON "keyboard button on navigation bar"

I agree with you john..i just purchased a samsung A15 5G and have had NOTHING but problems with it..and my "Samsung voice input" is also activated but NO microphone!!

Thank you. Watching this video helped me realize that the location of the talk to text button had moved from above the keyboard to below it on the far left corner. This was a bad product decision IMO because I'm right handed and will now not be able to click that button easily using only my right hand 😞

I may just go buy the older version I had of my samsung and put this one to rest..it is heavier, it is randomly scrolling...I am really hating it (since I am elderly and have zero patience for technology)

I had to download an offline pack. Then restart phone after turning it on somehow

@dellanira6327 You know I can't seem to find it but I know it was language related and an update then reboot. Maybe try looking with language in the question. I know it took a while for me to figure it out and scroll many pages.
Do this to help
Settings > General Management > Keyboard list and default > Keyboard button and navigation bar *toggle it on*
The microphone should come up again on the lower left of screen. It'll automatically select whichever you have selected to use voice to text option. I hope this helps

If the little keyboard is showing up on the lower left corner instead of the microphone, press and hold it (the little keyboard), and the microphone toggle switch option should come up (SE 21fe)

Microphone didn't appear. Instead it starts saying all the words I type aloud. Annoying. I have done this steps repeatedly, restarting phone to no avail.

Does anybody know why this just disappears in the first place? is very frustrating. Sometimes The only way to fix it is to do things that don't even make any sense. Now it's back to spelling out punctuation. 🙄

Unfortunately, It doesn't bring back the microphone icon - there is something else going on.
I have Samsung voice input selected, but there are NO icons at all under my keyboard (that's where the icon used to be).
How do I turn on those bottom-most icons?

Why the fuck did they move it down there
Google voice typing fixed this for me. But it puts the microphone in the bottom left corner of the screen. It used to be along the top row of the keyboard
Yeah I don't know why they moved it, it was FINE where it was
It's under "Keyboard list and default" make sure the keyboard button on navigation toggle is on
I did exactly what you said and the microphone still doesn't appear. I have tried this off and on for several months and it still does not show up.

My voice to text mic disappeared suddenly this afternoon and this didn't help. I tried the Samsung and Google options and though they appeared to turn on, the mic icon didn't reappear.

General Mgmt. then Select Keyboard List and Default.
in this section - Enable the option -
Keyboard Button on Navigation bar.

I preferred my older version
My microphone totally disappeared. I didn't change one setting. It has been in the lower left for a while now. I went BACK into the settings and followed it step by step TWICE! And my mic is JUST not showing back up!! :(

The comment right below yours for the info. It works. My speaker button was gone too. Turn off google voice typing and make sure your keyboard typing is on. I turned mine off and back on to be sure. It reappeared.
Go to settings, then general management, then keyboard list and default...toggle off google voice typing. Toggle on keyboard button or navigation bar. Good luck!

Nope, it didn't work a keyboard pops up there sometimes, but nothing happens annoying issues I don't even know why they changed the location it's so hard to hit that little corner when it was working.
This did not work, I am just seeing a Keyboard button, then I have to tap that, and select Google Voice, so I selected the Google Voice Typing in settings and the Mic reappeared

HOLD DOWN ON THE KEYBOARD THATS DISPLAYED IN THE BOTTOM LEFT OF THE TEXT MESSAGE. YOU CAN SWITCH THE KEYBOARD TO THE MIC ICON. FFS

Does not work. If you see the a keyboard icon in lower left where this video says the microphone should be, long press it and menu will show up to switch to voice input.

I just hit reset keyboard settings and it popped back up. Like comment to boost if owner can pin that be great looking through comments this is a common problem.
Where did it pop up fir you? In the new location, bottom left under keyboard, or the original one, above the keyboard?
