Ok, that detail with the sword spirit textbox caught me off guard entirely. That's so neat
Yeah, that's really cool attention to detail. I love that. :D
That was so cool
Such a specific and interesting detail.
i noticed that his text boxes were the same as fi’s with the same diamond patterns and hylian text; i just couldn’t tell what the text said since it was too blurry and moved too fast
Ghirahim’s hairstyle in his “final form” is also exactly the same as Fi’s.
That's what gave it away for me in the first place
I knew at the beginning because he has that Gemstone on his belt or whatever it is. Then eventually it gets swap to his chest.
No duh him and fi are opposing forces.
Ghiramhim is basically or was basically another project for hylia when she was making a sword But instead it was an imperfect project but left abandoned or I could be wrong I don't know
@@thislookslikepatrick5070 i was going to say that.
I have a morbid hypothesis about the twisted, dead looking trees in BotW’s Lost Woods;
What if they’re the corpses of ancient Koroks? What if the Lost Woods is a graveyard?
Makes sense.
maybe they uprooted older deku trees, and put them there, because we know there can be more deku trees. (it was explained in ocarina of time.)
That's kinda dark. Cool
Dark but cool
I thought it would be part of the deku tree because in botw the deku tree has a hollow area in it where a shop is
I had not realized that about Ghirahim's text box. Neat.
Thomas Irwin Not likely so. He was the sword of Demise, and that sword is gone with the wind. Meanwhile, I believe Demise himself was sealed and killed off with the master sword, so Ghirahim returning is impossible, probably. Still, was a cool villain anyway.
Thomas Irwin Well, you say he wouldn’t have him just vanish forever, but he hasn’t exactly been reincarnated alongside demise in the form of ganondorf, and nor has he shown up again in the timeline. So... it pains me to say it, but he probably perma-gone, son.
Though I do like the fact that he was basically a dark master sword lol that was pretty rad
Yo I need him to come back would be cool
WHAT YOU CAN TURN BUTTERFLIES INTO FAIRIES IN OCARINA OF TIME WTH I NEVER KNEW THAT
It’s like how you can turn butterflies into One Up Shrooms in Mario 64!
i had known about that one for a long time, but after a few initial attempts i pretty much gave up on it since there are several fairy fountains around that are much easier. i think i might have successfully done it once, it is obnoxious to do.
I always knew there as something about butterflies and deku sticks but I never knew what. I would always go chasing them with a stick to find out what happens but nothing ever did
I didn't know either
I had never know!!
9:09 Better secret: Link's nose scrunches up.
Maybe the Forest Dwellers gear was made before the Great Calamity, for children with pure hearts who were lost in the Korok Forest. Near the Korok Forest, there’s a royal training camp that now lays in ruin. Maybe 100 years prior to the events of the game, before the Calamity struck but at the time when fear of Ganon’s resurrection began to surmount, platoons of guards and their families were sent to this remote camp to hone their skills, and to act as a final line of defence for the woods if all else failed. The royal family of Hyrule knew a powerful magic lay dormant in the woods, one that may be needed one day to save the land. But something obviously went wrong, as shown by its decrepit and monster filled shape in present day Hyrule. So what if this camp was attacked by monsters sent by Ganon to foil any plan of finding the ancient relic. And while the men and soldiers defended the camp in vain, the mothers and children ran to the nearby woods, unbeknownst that the very wood they were seeking refuge in had been responsible for the demise of hundreds of lost sounds before them. As they entered the Forest and began searching for refuge, one by one, children became separated from their mothers, never to be seen again. But, seeing that they had pure hearts, the Forest denizens took pity on the handful of children left, and guided them into the Korok Forest. There, these children were raised as Korok, much like Peter Pan and his lost boys, or more apt, Link in the Kokiri Forest. These Korok children learned the customs and teachings of the Korok, and under the Great Deku Tree, became a part of this forested and hidden world. As the children grew, they became bigger and stronger than their Korok brothers, so they were appointed as the protectors of the woods and all the nature spirits that dweller within. They, along with the Great Deku Tree, were the ones who made the Forest Dwellers weapons for this purpose, to defend their woodland relatives. These faux Hylians lives out their young adult lives in the Forest, continuing to live and learn and protect their home from any who tried to enter.Once they became adults however, the Great Deku Tree told them who they really were, how they had been rescued due to the kindness of the Forest. Though they were not born Korok, it would now always be a part of them. And they were told of the Calamity, and how it could be disastrous to not only the forest but to all of Hyrule. Armed with this grim knowledge and their weapons of the woods, they left the Korok Kingdom and spread across the land, returning to their settlements and perhaps even starting new ones, in an effort to fight and prevent the Calamity and the hordes of monsters under Ganons control. And once the full brunt of the Calamity finally did hit, these brave forest soldiers fought back and perished, and those who survived retreated to higher settlements like stables, putting their warrior lives behind them and starting new lives, not fully human, nor fully Korok. Their weapons were passed down through the generations, as well as stories and legends of the mystical trees and magical spirits of the Lost Woods, along with a warning to never try to venture into the woods. This might be why the weapons can be found all over the land, and are still being made in the Korok Forest, in preparation for the day when the forest dwellers will once again be reunited with their long lost Korok brothers and sisters.
I agree with your theory.
I love this theory.
why does your comment not have 10k likes
it should
Jesus crust this is long
It’s awesome tho
Tree Beaver lol I know I go overboard when I write stuff
I believe that when ganon twists his head it’s him snapping it back into place from when zant broke it in the end of twilight princess, which I recently re-completed
Guys, I noticed something. As soon as you return to the korok forest after the full trial of the sword, fi’s theme plays, speeding up and slowing down across lower and higher pitches, but still recognizable if you look into it because they are still the same notes, just on higher and lower octaves, as I said earlier. It’s a bit hard to notice at first, but if you look into it, you can tell. If you’re reading this Zeltik (which I doubt you are), huge fan.
Whoa. does it do that again if you go back there, or is that a one-time thing you have to notice? because I wanna go check that out right now.
I've literally never heard of the monster skeleton near Ganon's castle until this video.
I really can't thank you enough for this series, I learn something new every video.
Good job mate!
It seems that the soldier was eaten as his soldier helmet and shield are in the rib cage.
Or squashed beneath it once the monster fell.
That's hot
I would say squashed as well. Those jaws aren't big enough to swallow an entire soldier's head WITH helmet and a shield whole.

Actually, the song used for Minish Cap’s mini boss theme is a remix of the battle theme from the Japanese release of Zelda 2 (not the boss theme).

Did you just The Office?
I wonder where is girahim now... the dark sword of demise must be somewhere right?
Maybe it's in a Stone, like the Mastersword, waiting for a worthy wielder
Wasn't it destroyed in the final battle of Skyward Sword? I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that was the case.
@BlueIsABitConfused Pretty sure ganon is ruling the moblins and bokoblins
@@Stathio yeah, the final cutscene where demise is defeated shows the sword turns to dust and dissapears, although i do wonder if it could make a comeback as some kind of reincarnation of Girahim

I also recall Ghirahim saying Master a few times with it highlighted. That was probably the earliest hint.
SS is a masterpiece with so much attention to detail, it's criminal how people overlooked it.
That textbox detail is amazing
Absolutely. I love that game to this day and really really hope we get an HD remake for Switch with a better control system
Only thing that’s bad are the freaky ass ‘dragons’
SS has a lot of flaws, but its clear that it was made with passion
Please bring back Zelda Lore : Links to the Past
I loved that series Zeltik made. I hope he reads and comes to a conclusion
PLEASE. I love that series and he does it SO well!!!
Please please yes!!
He said he would do an episode on the imprisoning war
every time zeltik acknowledges minish cap as being good my heart grows 10 sizes. its also my favourite 2d zelda game as well as my third favourite zelda of all time (with only twilight princess and botw beating it out). im always learning new stuff about a series ive loved since i was just a little kid and i appreciate that a lot. keep at it, zeltik, im always looking forward to new videos ♥
I love the added detail to the Ocarina of Time 3D. The battle between the soldier and the creature tell a great story, and that Ganondorf’s takeover of Hyrule was much more brutal than some may realize.
Sidon is a Zora confirmed
Edit: last time I was this early, mipha still had a chance with link
i laughed harder than i should have lmao
Ouch
Oof
That was over 100 years ago lol
Iiiiiii Poor Mipha
"The Zelda series is famous for it's music"... Wish BotW had noticed that...
Could you possibly do a theory on the creation of the great deku tree? Like, the one from Ocarina of Time? He's just such a mysterious character, as mysterious as the lost woods itself...
At 5:11 even though I've known about this since the nineties, I've never gotten it to work.
At 9:50 Oh my goodness!
Dude, your voice is one of the coolest I have ever heard. I’m jealous
You should hear his Links to the Past series
It's what originally made me choose his channel over other theorists...the content made me stay.
5:10 After almost 20 years since my first playthrough, you made me discover something new.. wow
Same!
my mind is seriously blown from this honestly
I've just realized, that all Champions in botw use one out of all weapon types?
Mipha uses a lance, Revali uses a bow, Daruk uses a twohander, Uborsa uses sword and shield, Zelda uses magic. (well, kinda) and Link uses all weapon types (yes, magic too).
Kind of a neat detail actually.
Link doesn't use magic.

Agreed
"Uploaded 12 seconds ago"
Neat.
Love me some Zeltik!
I never knew about the skeleton near Ganon's Tower! Still learning new things about OoT after all these years, truly amazing.
I think maybe deku babas are tree suckers? They're extra sprouts of tree shooting out from the roots, that never actually grow into full trees and are parasitic, leeching off of the tree's nutrients and energy without actually growing. (And maybe the decrepit trees surrounding the lost woods could theoretically be full grown deku babas that eventually died? Because also in some cases there are forests that are actually all from one singular tree's root (and I can't remember for real life, but at least in fiction that main tree is often of Great Importance). This could explain the warped faces on the trees. While honestly awesome aesthetic alone is enough, I wouldn't be surprised if at some point a developer saw internal notes of deku babas being suckers and going "oh hey that's cool, what if we took it a step further in designing a dead forest of more developed deku tree suckers surrounding the deku tree/lost woods...."
We all know what suckers are...oh, just us who go outside?
Maybe they're volunteers, new sprouts from dropped seeds...
Anyways, I liked your comment.
I bought Minish Cap after hearing you hype it so much -- I am seriously impressed! I didn't think it could live up but it sure as hell does! Thanks Zeltik :)
What I really like is all the Skyward Sword soundtrack playing really often in your video
5:12 holy crap, i never knew this
I always find myself amazed at the similarities of the music when you compare them.

Man, watching this video makes me want to play Minish Cap again... some of the best spritework ever crafted, GBA or otherwise
Woah, it wasn't sponsored by Squarespace!
My thoughts exactly :D
Your videos keep getting better and better. Thanks for honing your skill as a storyteller!
Legend says Zeltik will continue his Ocarina of Time Temple video series and will one day release the Water Temple episode I just have to stay patient 😬 All jokes aside great video once again Zeltik!
prolly gonna be a short episode due to how small thew place is.
Zeltik’s next video:
“The Hylian Raycons: Link’s Most Powerful Weapon”
Oh boy, I cant wait to be told about something I've seen or heard a thousand times, have it explained to me and feel my brain explode. Love you dude !
@Hero of Time lol funny
Hero of Time bro I gotchu Ricks devices can kill him in a flash
The level of detail in your analysis of all things Zelda reminds me every single time exactly why I subscribed to you. Always a pleasure, bro!
Duuude Mount Crennel and Temple of Droplets !!!!
Minish woods is also amazing
One song representing the beginning and ends of a hero's life. Sounds like a theory...
Dude, your uploads have been awesome lately! Keep it up; it is getting me through quarantine!
God I love these videos and I loooove how much thought our dear Zelda team is putting into our beloved games! The thing with Ghirahims textbox is AWESOME. Its so subtile and just brilliant.
This dude finds a different way to refer to the characters Everytime, but he always makes it sound majestic
These videos are always a breath of fresh air
Aaaahhh, I could notice right away that you're being more bold with your video editing!!! Keep up the good work, I think it really adds to the experience! ^_^ I really enjoyed hearing more about the Minish Cap as well... I just adore it!
Shout out to Minish Cap for being my first, and still one of my favorite, Zelda games.
I had no idea about the OoT butterflies turning into fairies. I’ve played this game so much and there are still secrets that blow my mind. I LOVE Zelda
Yet again, great job. I have been watching a lot of your videos lately. You have an excellent voice for narration and a vast amount of knowledge for the Zelda universe. I have been playing Zelda games since the mid 1990's and have had a lifetime of love for the series. As impossible as it may seem, I would love to have a rum or two (or more) with you and discuss anything and everything Zelda with you. Great job at all you have done and I look forward to more Zelda thoughts and ideas from you.
I remember seeing the bones by ganon's castle in the oot 3d remake but never thought anything of it.
I enjoy channel's like this, that tell the extra stories in games that people like me gloss over.
This is definitely the best vid in this series so far
This is exactly the kind of youtube channel that I was looking for :)
I live for these Zeltik videos.
By the way, what about that Water Temple video?
Minish cap is the GOAT.
Fight me if you disagree.
Nah, you right.
Where do we meet?
1:02 video starts
Awesome video like always
I look forward to these videos every single week.
I have a whole new respect for my favourite game franchise all thanks to you
Lockdown sucks, so I’m happy I have this quality Zelda content to help me through it.
That with the butterfly really surprised me.
And Minish Cap really has a wonderfull soundtrack.
Love this series!
That minish cap zelda 2 remix was amazing!
I really need to get around to minish! Especially because it's made by the same ppl who did oracle! My all time favorite 2d zelda!
The fact that he is promoting Ray J's ear buds is funny but cool. Good on ya Zeltik!
Speaking of the Great Deku Tree in Ocarina of Time, you know those hidden grottos scattered all around Hyrule Field and beyond? When I was a kid, I noticed that the same music that plays when you're inside the Great Deku Tree also plays in all of the grottos. It became canon in my head that, because the Great Deku Tree is so huge and so old, that his roots must extend pretty far. I decided that all of the grottos were parts of the Deku Tree's roots, and that this is also what allowed him to keep tabs on the goings on of the world.
the ghirahim text box is a crazy detail! :D
I think all sponsor segments of Zelda discussion videos should use the Malo-Mart theme.
I love this series so much!
I really love your videos. Please keep it up.
The dead monster bones next the the soldier armor I never knew about that. The soldiers of Hyrule have no fear. And the remix tracks in minish cap never that about them. These little secrets are giving me more and more love for this franchise.
Nice work on the vid, I’d love to see another easter egg related video!
Hey thanks for all you do bud. I really appreciate it in this time
1:50 Koji Kondo DID NOT compose the main theme in one night. He did compose the Title Screen theme in one night BASED ON the main theme he created earlier. Too many people get those facts mixed up, but the overworld theme did exist already when they realized they can't use Ravel's Bolero and needed another theme for title screen.
"Kondo: So I pulled an all-nighter to compose the opening song. But it's just an arrangement of music used in the game.
Miyamoto: He reworked it to sound more like an intro."
Keep up the good work zeltik
I did more research on the Raycon and I went to the website with /zeltik and I bought some!! Thanks bro!!
Very obscure secrets thanks 👍
Its great to know more about the games we love than we know
my personal headcanon/theory about the forest dwellers gear in botw is that even though koroks can only be seen by pure-hearted people, they still like to give gifts to people who can't see them, especially after the calamity. they leave sturdy swords and shields lying about, knowing that eventually some traveler will stumble upon it and put it to use protecting themself from harm.
I didnt notice the music remixes! Cool!
I LOVE MINISH CAP also my favorite 2d Zelda so to learn that about the music is even cooler!
I didn't know about the butterflies turning into Fairies in Ocarina of Time! Thank you Zeltik.
Best zelda channel on youtube.
Great video as always! All dead obscure!
Hey Zeltik, I just wanted to tell you, keep up the great content! Also, do you think you could make a video on who Malladus really is, and whether or not he's a reincarnation of Demise's hatred? Or maybe about Tetra's mother?
Also the skull in OOT hyrule castle reminds me of lanayru’s skull when there is no time shift crystal activated. What if somehow lanayru lived? Or the beast the knight fought / got eaten was a descendant of lanayru?
I’ll never get over how cool the intro is
I love this show!
I submitted this many, many, many years ago on the old did you know gaming website before they had a CZcams channel. But the Ocarina of Time Fairy Fountain Theme is a slightly different arrangement of the Super Mario Bros 3 World 3 Overworld Theme.
When I first saw that skull near Ganon's Castle, I thought it was foreshadowing the Hero of Shade, because Hero of Shade was stabbed in the eye too.
I also noticed that the intro of Yuganon's theme is the theme of Ganon's battle theme in ALTTP.
I had no idea about the existence of the monster skull remains near Ganons castle in Ocarina of Time; so 22 years since I first played my favourite game it still has secrets I had not known!
nice video! i never noticed the skeleton change before! i wonder what else was changed.
Hey Zeltik, you should do a restrospective on the music in the series, with your personal picks for overworld music and dungeon theme from each game.
You're right. The minish cap has good music. Ive never played it tho so i didnt know until you showed us
Minish cap is such an underrated game and it really deserves love for its soundtrack and game design
I love Minish Cap too, it was my first LoZ game.
Minish Cap really is underrated.
Not to mention criminally short.
One of my favorite songs from the Minish Cap is the Dark Hyrule Castle theme. It sounds cool even when played at x1.50. It sounds like the hyrule castle theme from link to the past but way cooler
