Bob is nothing like I imagined seeing him as Jimmy/Saul. Not only is he wacky-hilarious, he's such a deep and thoughtful guy, and a wonderful family man.
Just when I thought Bob couldn't get any more CUTE, he goes and pulls this shit. WTF why is this man so freakin' adorable??
What a clever, adorable poem about an old shoelace! Handsome, funny, highly intelligent, talented, a wild mind, and sweet. Bob has it all. He is a legend. I can’t help crushing on him hardcore. 😍♥️
What a lovely, meaningful way to show your kids they can do anything. I am grabbing that book, and notebook to do the same thing with my kid.
Yes. When your kid asks you to help build a marble track on the ceiling the answer is YES. GET 'R' DONE, NASA style we can do it.
Bob is such a gem.
Gob is such a bem.
Every time I see him, there’s a new side to this guy. SUCH an awesome dad. Hope the kids realize how lucky they are.
That was such an adorable children’s poem! Loved it
I was not prepared for a childhood poem about a shoelace read by Bob Odenkirk to make me all misty before I’ve even had my coffee this morning
Is Zuzupetals from the movie Ford Fairlane?
Isn’t it from “It’s a Wonderful Life”? Zuzu’s flower petals discovered in his pocket make George remember all the good things in his life)
A "Zelt" is a tent in German. So, a Zilot for a blanket fort is not that far off. That book sounds very cool. I think I am going to get myself one.
Mr. Odenkirk. = A national treasure
Bob Odenkirk & his daughter came to "Wait wait Don't Tell me" taping in Greek Theater. Bob is genuinely "real deal". We loved it!
Thanks. I have to check that out!
Wow, the shoelace poem sounds like what I imagine my 9 year old nonverbal son with autism would write regarding his collection about strings, yarn and shoelaces he finds and claims. I can’t wait to read the other poems here! So wonderful!
Well… chiming in from Germany here… and as in my country we call a tent a ‘Zelt’ it actually seems totally reasonable to me that a blanket fort should be a ‘Zilot’. I hope somehow this information will reach Bob.
his ancestry is German and Irish :)
He actually found that out a while back.
There is so much weight in the small things. Hearing that shoelace poem and thinking of a child's mind in all its whimsy made me tear up.
Perfect for Bob to write a kid's book w his kids. i loved the shoelace poem!! I know it will do well! Hugs!
I was lucky enough to watch of almost 2 entire seasons of Mr. Show live and in person while they filmed it. and got to go the wrap party. Bob had no idea who I was (I didn't work on the show), but still treated me very kindly at the party, and never made me feel like he wanted to talk to one of the many celebs there instead. Such an awesome human. And, the show was even funnier in person. Bob is a national treasure! Every once in a while I'll get a message from someone watching the episode in which Bob and Dave are in the audience protesting themselves (also on stage), asking if I was there. The reason? Because you can see me just behind them during most of the protest part. Not a huge claim to fame, but a very fun experience.
You can tell how much Stephen reveres Bob.
Every time I have a chance to get a bowl of Bob Odenkirk I eat it up. What is not to love? This just put the sprinkles on top of that big ole sundae of a person he is.
so glad to have you back, and thanks for standing up for whats right!!
I ordered Bob's book back in March, for my sister who _just_ had her 2nd kid!! I can't wait to show her this clip.
Our family has always been musically-inclined, but the idea of writing poems together sounds adorable!! 💞
Love that intro. No introduction needed for Bob, he is an absolute legend at this point.
Agreed, but I’m sure the intro was that way because Stephen couldn’t promote anything he’s acted in cause of the strike.
Bob has a writer's heart, I remember he also wrote for the Simpsons with Conan.
Love Bob you are special I love your work. So happy you helped with the writers strike.
A comedian you can trust ✨
I hope they release the full interview
Agreed. So much editing at the beginning of the video. They usually don't do it that much.
I always feel like all inverviews are super edited. Where I can watch other full interviews?
The first half is on CZcams too.
My impression was they might have accidentally mentioned projects struck by the SAG/AFTRA strike, so they had to cut those parts out.@@jackson857
That poem reminded of one my favorite childhood books "Maniac Magee" I suggest you read it even today. It speaks to many things that still persist.
Actual legend.
Lctual Aegend
My only regret is his daughter didn't join him for the show. She was with him on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me for the book and she was really funny! Also she's really cute ^_^
I love WW, I'll have to check that one out!
What a lovely lovely man!!! I had no idea!!!
That damn shoe lace almost had me in tears 😅
We love your show stephen colbert
I was a fan since he played the sleazy lawyer Stevie Grant in the brilliant The Larry Sanders Show in the 1990. He’s got s great acting range
That poem was the cutest thing in the world 🤩
Much love to bob he’s an incredible talent and father
Hard cut at 1.10 I wanted to hear his union thoughts :(

I love that the strike yielded some results, but this comment takes the cake 🤣
Yeah, ✂️✂️✂️
Woof, that was not subtle
CBS didn't like that
When I was a kid I stayed up late for two shows my mom probably wouldn't have wanted me to watch. Kids in the Hall and Mr. Show with Bob and Dave. The show that first introduced me to not just Bob and David, but Paul F. Thompkins, and Tom Kenny.
Jack Black, Mary Lynn Rajskub, and Sarah Silverman probably had their 1st significant screen time on that show. It was sort of an incubator of talent. The show also taught me how dark my sense of humor was. The titanica sketch with David portraying a suicide survivor somehow was hilarious to me.
and JACK BLACK!!!
I just watched the episode of Bob's Burgers with Bob as a swarmy insurance adjuster. Pitch perfect voice casting.
My god BOB $13 for a children's book????? I'm buying 3!
Wait, is $13 cheap? (I have no idea really)
What an absolutely beautiful person
we love you bob
I love Bob sm
Need more dads like Bob
Beed more nads like dob.
1:39
Bob: "I’m only thankful that I’m not cooking”
YOU’RE GODDAMN RIGHT!!
Thank you Bob Odenkirk, love your poem…thank you Stephen Colbert
Bob looks and sounds so normal at first...that's how he sneaks up on us and then suddenly...BIZZARRO!
Wholesome.
Tons of canned applause in this
These are the Chad dads we need.
Zilot! Awesome!
I really hope Bob makes a sequel to "Nobody"
I wish that one of the things that changed when they got back is for this channel to put these interviews in some sort of order.
Omg I remember that movie. My son made me watch it. I didn't recognize him. How cool. Lol
There’s some Dr. Seuss level stuff right there!
That shoelace poem was 🔥🥰
funny, i used to eat lunch with him for free in second grade good ol SSP&P
Love Bob, his poetry and especially Mr Show 😁
It will be a Zilot in my house from now on, too.
In my family, "chuggly" was the name for a blanket fort.
What did everyone else call them? 🤔
chips and gatorade with bob odenkirk would be JUST FINE.
He tends to act in shows I'm not interested in, until "Nobody". I loved that movie.
WOW!!!! THAT WAS TRULY INCREDIBLE!!!
His range is wonderful; Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul and the very good movie, Nobody.
A miracle mug, it moved from bob's hand to the desk in
Bob Odenkirk is a National Treasure ❤️❤️ I’ll keep saying this: Bob and the Entire Series of BETTER CALL SAUL deserved better from the Emmys & other Award shows. I think BCS is by far a better series than BREAKING BAD.
Keep Nic Cage away from him.
Will I read a book written by Saul Goodman to my kids......HELL YEAHHHHH
I love this poem!❤❤❤
Great actor
It's all good, man.
Ever since the show came back with new episodes now each guess has a book coming out. They got to promote their book or you won't know about it lol
"Dad, when can we make a zilot?"
"As soon as I get a round tuit."
I love this!! 💙💙
CZcams should pair this video with Jimmy Stewart reading his poems to Johnny Carson
"It holds ONE NICKEL!"
When my grandsons were small their parents taught them correct terms for body parts, but my oldest grandson insisted kajunka was the correct term for vagina, lol we still say kajunka
It's all good man!!
Mindy’s I hear the swordfish is the best. The best. Btw soup is not a meal.
damn whats up w those mustard kicks bob?
Cool dad!
I have one request when posting interviews in multiple parts......can you call it part 1, 2 etc....they are not always posted in order and not always sure which one to watch first......other that, I have no complaints....I love the show
Please bring back better call Saul so I can function again
all i hope is that bob and david are out there mentoring some young talent like i love the guy, just about anything i've seen him in was great fun or real captivating, but i see them aging like so many great minds and i feel like there's so much going to go away one day suddenly
Everytime I see Bob in serious roles i giggle thinking of his nude appearence at rcmh for comic relief 8. thanks to that i discovered mr. show (didnt have cable, there wasnt media internet in 98) and subsequently jack black who turned into such an amazing anti-hero of hollywood in the early 00s... anywho, as someone who tried stage/comedy to conquer fear of public speaking, i thought of that as really really brave!
cheers to you bob (&david cross) thanks for all the laughs 🍻
I have a huuuge crush on him. I feel like that’s weird? Am I alone in this?
The dude paying $25K must have thought it was with Kevin Cosner.
so looking forward to Nobody II ❤❤❤
I'm sorry but that's not a kids' book. I'm 45 y.o. and I totally love the Shoelace poem, so clearly it's an Everyone book.
Hey may call himself what he wants, but he will alway be Slippin' Jimmy
Women believe Kevin Costner is Bob Odenkirk because HE believes he's Bob Odenkirk.
❤❤❤
I wish I had a small child to read bob's book to!
You can volunteer at a nearby school or preschool to read.
I ordered it back in March for my sister, who just had her 2nd kid! If you have any friends/family with little'ns, get it for them and you'll be the cool aunt/uncle!
Ayo, Bobby O!
I want to thank you, Vince Gilligan and all the cast and crew of Better Call Saul - for producing such an amazing follow up to Breaking Bad. [BTS] truly didn't let me down, but in fact really surprised me at how extremely good it managed to be ALL THE WAY through!
WHO EDITED THIS CLIP???
TLS has the best writers...so glad the strike is over.
Omg I love it so much. Shel silverstein was my childhood
Wow, the part about the strike was cut short and badly edited with some canned applause. I guess there are some things the network won't let us hear.
Did Dr. Seuss have a medical degree, or was he a doctor of philosophy or something? 🤔
they cut this sooo much, tells who who he is really like
He really is Jimmy isn't he?
I'm surprised that no one mentioned that David Cross was also a guest at the dinner.
They did and they showed the eBay pic.
Hey Bob please say something about Quatro's Pizza.
I’d pay that but Bob would have to be in character Saul Goodman
