- One early Sunday morning, right here in Trinidad, I was getting in run along the designated red path along the western main road in Chaguaramas and after I had this craving for Chicken and Waffles, so in this one, we explore two spots that was open early in the morning that could have satisfied by the calling of my tummy, but I did get in some exercise just before so no worries. Upick was originally supposed to be a place where you went to pick your own produce. People quickly got fed up of the manual labor so it became a spot to dine. Lol. Trinis allyuh good oui.
Lol, I figured as much…because when I visited I thought that it was an option, but I guess it’s easier to manage this way

I was pleasantly surprised that Trinidad has chicken and waffles as that is a southern cuisine in the USA. I like the Trini twist to it. Unfortunately, I cannot eat chicken but I will definitely try out the waffles. I can't remember seeing the cost of the chicken and waffles at U-pick... In the USA the bagel, salmon and cream cheese is called a Lox. Again, I am surprised they are serving that as well in Trini. I will also have their version. I love the blouse Julia wore! As usual great and entertaining vlogs!
Thanks, we have a few places that sells American food, some has their own twist..like Lola’s Food Company, but yes the waffles is definitely up there and even better than some of the spots I had when I traveled to the US…the cost at U-pick was around $93 TTD (approx $13 USD) and Julia says thanks for the compliment 😊

@@TrinbagoVibes You can check their Piarco Branch located at the Airport but is much smaller and might have grab and go. But one in South is more for brunch and bigger. They open 11am

Blue star diner opens 24hrs during the weekend and they have chicken and waffles.
At the time of this recording they weren’t open, cuz we had pass
