  • In January of 1879, members of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe escaped imprisonment at Fort Robinson in Nebraska. They ran through blistering winter conditions toward their homeland in Southeastern Montana before they were tragically gunned down by the United States military. 145 years later, their descendants ran that same route in their honor.
