When you think about it Ash's pikachu is the only pokemon to hurt ground types with an electric type attack, when pikachu goes out of control against marshadow there where was a nidoking and nidoqueen to ground types

you know how ash charizards always win? It might be because of its friendships with ash. So if your pokemon rlly likes you, and it is very strong, this might be the reason.

Never forget pikachu is one of ash's strongest pokemon he may only be a pikachu and will always be a pikachu but pikachu is strong in turns of bond with trainer being the first pokemon ash had eventually earning trust by both of them protecting each other and in attacks with both long and far range attacks (plus he loves ketchup and I will never forget that episode 🥺)
