    The man that is playing the bajo sexto in the red suit with black glasses is my father Hugo Gonzales we our so proud of our father to give so much to Tex Mex music by opening the door for the next generation. I will follow my father footstep and carry on his music thank to my fathers friend Ry Cooder and Flaco Jimenez .

      R Gonzales i always admired your dad in the video. Loved watching him play the BS! I’m watching him Ad libbing about su tia vivía detrás de una hieleria and the tortilla con mantequilla and how he plays the Bs with such rhythm at the end of the video. Please thank him for me!!!

    I don't care if it is cajunto, cajun, mexican, or texmex. All I know is , it sounds good to the ears and they are great together. I am a gringo, so I am not too familiar with the different kinds of music such as this, all I know is I love it.Someday I will be able to tell the difference.

    What I like about Flaco is that his lyrics (at least the ones I've heard) don't usually talk about narcos, bullets, drugs and killings, damned be the hour that these crap took over the polkas in Spanish; German polkas and gringas like Frank Yankovic's never have such crappy lyrics.

    I have known Flaco since way back! Borned and raised in the same city of San Antoniio,TX. Later had the honor and privilege of working with him as his Booking/Business Manager. He is one of a kind for sure. His Music is contagious! People in Classy theatres,London,Spain,would dance in the aisles! Know Hugo Guerreo on Bass Sexto. As well. Ry Cooder is also tops!! Thanks for the so special Video. Amie Victoria Castillo SA.TX.

    • @anthonypachecodrums
      @anthonypachecodrums Před 8 lety +5

      Nelson Rodriguez actually tejano is not a copy of traditional norteño music. Tejano uses Texas roots going from blues to jazz and includes those chords in our music. Traditional Norteño just uses the standard form of mexican chords.

    cajun music fronys the accordion, LIKEWISE- Mexican, or TEX-MEX music fronts the accordion. The Mexican is usually a bit brighter sounding, and is more like the traditional POLKA. Louisiana cajun is distinctive in it's drawl-like,typical almost 3/4 time accordion
