I was lucky enough to ride this 3 weeks ago. Me and my son were excited about it all day and it was an amazing breathtaking ride. I suffered a small brain haemorrhage 2 weeks ago and spent 2 weeks in hospital not related to this ride of course but I’m not sure if I can ever go on rollercoasters again. So I just wanna say I am in recovery and doing well but the memory of this day with my son and daughter will live with me forever. Knowing I got to ride this beauty and watching it’s construction day after day as we live near to Thorpe park and visit 3 times a year, will forever be in my mind as one of the best rides ever if I never get to do rollercoasters again 🙏🏻❤️
:O Oh. My. God. Everybody thought that the outerbank roll would be THE element of the ride, but that first drop made me feel the airtime and few coasters/POVs have ever done that for me.
Hyperia definitely looks a couple elements short of a truly complete experience, but what's there looks incredible. The color scheme and landscaping aren't doing it any favors however.
I wonder if Mack will take more risks now, as this has never before seen elements. What I mean is, I wonder if we'll get a LONG Hyperia style ride somewhere. I think THE perfect length would be exactly double this, and would then probably be the best coaster in the world. My idea is to keep the first half a lot like this, then have some really nice and fast off axis Voltron style camelbacks and maybe a high g helix, as well as another unique inversion, another crazy off axis speed hill, and then right at the very end, a mosasauraus style roll into the brake run. Pure bliss. It might need a launch for the second half though unless they keep it sort of lower to the ground. I think a coaster that has a lift hill then a midway launch is interesting also, and has only really been done with rare coasters like Maverick.
Bro It’s so intense. I said to my boy I don’t think I coulda handled any longer. Only got to ride near back and I could feel it pulling me through every inversion
I’m going tomorrow with my best friend!I love rollercoasters soooo much and I’ve been to Thorpe park millions of times. It’s so funny because I remember the first time I went on stealth the first time I went to Thorpe park and i got on the rollercoaster with my sister and I burst out crying (I have a massive phobia of heights even tho I love roller coasters and btw I was 8) but then when the ride was over it was fine. It lasted like 5 seconds and it wasn’t even that scary just the before thoughts of it. So yeh sorry for waffling but yhhh
Does anyone else think the trim is unnecessary in the water effect section? I mean the ride is basically over, why not let the last 2 elements be taken at RMC type crazy speeds?
@@im-alwaaayzwatching Oh man I can not WAIT till next year. It will be the trip of a lifetime. I had a great time in US last year, but I controlled myself this year since I am so far away (Australia), and in 2025 decided to do US then Canada then UK then Ireland, then rest of EU, then home via UAE so I can do all the coasters in Abu Dhabi and Dubai! It's going to be amazing. I have my 2nd three month long service leave (20 years same employment) so I get 3 full paid months to travel and do coasters. I am 51 and I deserve it (actually will be nearly 53 by then). But seriously though, Back to USA to do the new universal park, and re rides of my favourites from last year, plus I will add a couple of small parks with classic woodies I didn't do. Then I'll fly to UK for Alton, Thorpe, Pleasure Beach & Oakwood, then Ireland for Emerald Park, then the rest of EU, all by car after I take the Eurotunnel shuttle to France. I am going to go to places I have never been, and re do amazing rides like Untamed again at Walibi and so on. Can't wait to get back to Liseberg, to Linnanmäki to ride Taiga for the first time and much more. It's going to be a solo epic adventure where I am the boss and can go where I want when I want! So tell me, is Hyperia best in the back, and is it smooth? It will be a first time experience for me next year. I think that and Voltron are the two I am most hyped up for. I am seriously pumped. It is these rare times where I am ecstatic that my partner hates coasters, so I can go on my own and he will go on a holiday where he wants to, for sightseeing, museum and arts and all that jazz. We differ so much with that stuff, and it actually helps us make it work. This is going to be about nothing but theme parks for me, for 3 whole months, with the only breaks being bed rest and maybe a 2 day break here and there. Cheers!
@teddym2808 I've only ridden Hyperia once but plan to again at the beginning of August so I can experience the front row (I live 40 minutes away from the park) The ride is unremarkably smooth, it's like buttered butter. The seats allow a lot of leg and upper torso movement throughout the ride, too, which felt odd but in a good way. The first drop is mindblowing, and the ride somehow maintains 70-80mph for the whole thing. It was easily my new favourite ride, I've never left the country, so I haven't ridden many outside of ThorpePark, unfortunately. I plan to in the future, though. I would love to ride Falcon's Flight in Qiddya 😮💨

Women absolutely bottling hands up in the seat in front tells you all you need to know.
That first drop brought back the fear of rollercoasters to me
It's the 180* aspect of it which makes it very beautiful to observe off ride.
I think the genius idea of painting the track the same colour as the ground helps.
Nah it’s that zero g stall for me. Goliath at Great America has a similar element and there’s simply nothing like it
