Gilmour has used just about every guitar effect there is, and even invented a couple himself. It just shows how creative he truly is.
He was quite revolutionary in guitar sound and effects, especially with his use of delay back in the 70s
That's a talk box. Pink Floyd also makes excellent use of it in Pigs.

I have to admit that Division Bell is one of my favorite albums but you are right about not comparing tracks as everything they produce is a master piece in its own right!
one of the best songs ever made ... and its still present! I love that song so much! Pink Floyd has been with me my whole life and I always enjoy listening to the music. And the music of PINK FLOYD is currently back in our time... because we need them again!
I agree matey, iv herd pink Floyds wall loads of times and really enjoyed it , i dont no why i never listen to more of their stuff, i guess i just fort i wouldnt enjoy it. i listened to different music back then and i only listen to music i know, same when i listen to reactions. i search for music i already know and see whos reacted to them. but i really really do enjoy pink floyd what iv herd so far and pulse tour concert is just epic

One of the more well known examples of a Talk box being used is during the entirety of the song "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi
I like that song as well, and thinking of it, the beginning of the song sounds like the talk box, thinking of head.

I love this song; the bass, the dreamy atmosphere (the speaking voice is that of Stephen Hawking; David Gilmour heard a commercial featuring Hawking that talked about communication and was so moved by it, that he asked to use it in this song). The background vocalists are amazing. Of course, the talk box solo is awesome and adds a lot to this performance. Other artists who make use of it are Peter Frampton, Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi (during 'Living on a Prayer' and 'It's My Life'); Joe Walsh from the Eagles (on his solo track 'Rocky Mountain Way').

those wawawas he used that "flute" tube on side of the mic. Also during that concert there's some songs where he's moving his mouth and playing the solo at same time that makes us thinking. It's his voice or his guitar? If you listen to Wish You Were Here from that concert is one of the exemples of what I said.

I am a massive Floyd fan, and was at the PULSE tour concert at Earls court... the best is yet to come on your video reviews for the PULSE concert which sold out 15 straight days in a row at the venue ... However, can you review one of my all time songs and video... Band " Nightwish " and song " Ghost love score " ... will come up on youtube as .. Nightwish Ghost love score (OFFICIAL LIVE)

@@jbreacts Remember, Floyd toured with the PULSE tour in 1994 , thats 28 years ago.... the lighting even to the present day is impressive.. at the time, it was absolutely jaw dropping, and to be there watching it live was a truely amazing. When you get to "One of these days" or "Run" where the lighting techs go all out to imresss, you can see how much time and effort went into the whole tour.. Looking forward to you next lot of videos mate... Respect
@@rockyjohn3179 thats mad that thinking back to 94 id of been 8, i remeber people leaving tags engraved in wall was here 94 , 95 and so on. For you to witness that i can only imagen but am looking forward and excited to watching the rest 😊 in terms of the light showing iv not yet seen a concert to do it in that way , iv seen dance music and stuff do it but not like this with this kind of greatness that iv seen so far. I wish i had when you have had since 94 the memories and the feeling of been their. Epic and chills come to mind

No one has ever used the talk box as well as David Gilmour. Not even the person who invented the device. In Gilmour's hands it is absolute magic. The only issue I have is your facial expressions. You look pissed off. I can't even tell if your enjoying the song. In every thumbnail, you look seven shades of pissed the f*** off.
Yeah i need to work on my thumbnails and believe me i am enjoying them. that's just me getting in to it and focusing in on the song, also am using a crappy webcam so quality aint great and am still bit shy and uneasy on camera, am trying to just be myself as much as i can but when cam goes on my head goes blank so i figured to just get into the music which i really do with pink floyd. hopefully over then next 100 videos my confidence and character and personality will just come out without thinking. But that pissed of face is me enjoying it. if i enjoy something i never jump up and down listening to something. i sort of do that when am telling a mate you got to watch this or that but with out the jumping lol
I think thats what good music does init lol when you get to apart and its insane then that maddness face happens lol. I am shy in new surroundings abit but shys mabe the wrong word to use. Its hard to explain but when it comes to talking on cam am terrible at the min thats why so many cuts as well as trying to keep video pace up so its not just me talking on and on and boring everyone lol i not sure about my personality tbh am shooked people enjoy my videos and i love it buts its hard work too tbh

@@forresthouser5807 iv cut the volume in me last reaction and cut it all together when i pause it during a reaction , has that helped? i just don't want it to be to boring or with no atmosphere. listening to me speak to me is boring when am still learning to talk on cam and find my self if that makes sense?

It's like one my favorite songs Folks Keep Talking from my favorite bands Pink Floyd when Stephen Hawking did his famous Commercial in the 90s saying as long as Mankind keeps communicating the human race still has a chance to turn it around no matter how close we get to another catastrophic global disaster like now we face in 2023 like some of my family who faught in WW2 so this never happens again unfortunately they now see all the ingredients are again like it was in 1937 only with hypersonic nukes and way more powerful and devastating warfare weapons on terrifying scale never thought possible it's almost incomprehensible to the mass destruction this will cause you think the most disturbing and scary movie in history threads about a nuclear Holocaust with the most realistic ending in movie history about really what will happen to are human race in end
Which is not being able to reproduce because of radiation wasteland on a apocalyptic scale that even surpasses another great WW3 ending movie on the Beach made in the 1950s where Australia was the last country standing waiting for the end of are existence again either way you look at it people like this song represents we need to keep talking or else
I dunno bout that buddy but I do know what ya mean tho, I tend to think we have some mad lunatics around the world manipulating events and people and pushing our society for their agenda for sure. And it's us the normal folk that they play it out on and have to put up with it. Iv know idea what's really going on but when I look at parliament in UK they worse than a bunch of school kids, so I tend to think they not really running things just a play to create the illusion of democracy. hate to think what this world is going to become for my son and 2 daughters.
