knipex Needle nose pliers Restoration

Hello everyone
Today I bring you a clip with Restoration knipex Needle nose pliers taken by the floods in Germany in 2021 .It was extremely rusty and full of dirt and mud, plus it was blocked. I removed the rust layer with a wire brush , but it was still stuck and I chose to leave it in the vinegar for a week .After a week the rust practically softened, I applied wd-40 and I managed to unlock it. I managed to remove the handles, and for better removal of dirt, I used sandblasting.
The rust left traces in the metal, where I had nothing to do, but I also fixed it with a file and abrasive paper.The handles were easy to clean from dirt, after a short heat with the flame the matting was removed. to make sure you don't get attacked by rust, I decided to make it bluing steel .

Nice job! I restored a pair of knipex diagonal cutters I bought at a yard sale for 2 bucks, they were not as rusty as yours but they were pretty bad, I restored then and got them functional, im satisfied with how they turned out but after seeing this, i wish I would of spent more time.

Honestly, you can't really stop the rust, aluminum doesn't rust, it oxidizes. blueing is good for steel

Salut , eu nu am cumparat-o din România , am luat-o de pe Amazon . In România nu am găsit nici o soluție pentru ce am eu nevoie . Din ce știu ce știu sunt unele soluții de înnegrit pistoalele dar nu știu cât sunt de eficiente 🙏

Un sfat: Sarea de lamaie e mai ok decat otetul. Nu miroase, ataca metalul mai putin decat otetul si poti face solutia de sare de lamaie cat de concentrata doresti.

Sincer nu am încercat nici o data , nici nu știam ca poți curată cu așa ceva , ideea cu oțetul a fost ca era foarte înțepenit și oțetul a eliminat rugina de ka bolt . Nu știu cum va reacționa publicul la sare de lămâie , și așa îmi s-ar in cap mulți ca oțetul este pentru murături nu pentru rugina 🙄😂😂😂

@@GarageRestoration cine iti sare in cap la faza cu otetul nu stie despre ce vorbeste. Orice acid merge impotriva ruginei, ba chiar mai mult acizii slabi ca otetul si sarea de lamaie nu ataca metalul atat de tare ca altele cum ar fi detartrantul (care are acid clorhidric sau sulfuric in el). Doar ca otetul pute spre deosebire de sarea de lamaie si dureaza la fel de mult sa elimine rugina.
Ideal ar fi sa folosesti ceva pe baza de agent de chelare gen evapo-rust fiindca ala chiar nu se atinge de metalul "virgin" si este refolosibil dar se gasesc greu la noi (de obicei sunt porcarii pe baza de acid fosforic cu "aditivi de chelare" adica EDTA (stabilizator)).

Clipurile astea au loato razna putin , ca sa faci vizualizari trebuie sa ti pasul cu cele mai bune canale , care baga mii de euro pentru o scula de 2 lei ......Sa ajuns sa se curete cu laserul rugina :)) ....inteleg ce spui tu , si atat otetul cat si sarea de lamaie sunt ok , dar dupa ce vad pe uni ca ia cu laser , uni mc 51 sau electroliza ....cand vine unul cu otet da x la pagina si se dezaboneaza :).

Multi au following pentru spectacol (lustruire oglinda, magia editarii clipurilor gen pocnesc din degete si o piesa murdara devine curata, unelte mai rare cum ar fi laserul, electroliza etc).
Pana la urma poti face ceva amuzant cum ar fi sa redenumesti substantele si uneltele altfel spre exemplu: in loc de "bluing solution", zici "didndu' nuffin' sauce" (nu zi asta, inseamna ca faci misto de negri) sau in loc de "polish" zici "shining mud".

Sticla aia de solutie a fost cam 50 euro , si fac deja de 1 an din ea si nu sa dus nici un sfert , pe cand evaporust trebuie comandat din USA si costa mai bine 50 euro litru , si cam 5 litri imi sunt necesari minim . Plus ca se uzeaza repede , o sa folosesc doar daca primesc o sponsorizare :))
