You can tell Mahomes played a lot of baseball growing up. He's so comfortable throwing the ball in unorthodox ways. That's my favorite thing about him and Andy Reid. That shovel pass flick to Kelsey against the saints was so simple, creative and effective. He doesn't give the other team time to react

Rewatching those Super Bowl highlights hurts as a fan of football. His whole team let him down not a single player on both sides of the ball for the Chiefs played to win that game. Hes going to win several more in the next 10 years.

I am a Bucs fan but I was still scared of Mahomes until late in the Super Bowl when it was clear they were out of time. I am glad they focused on that play at 7:32 because I do believe that was the greatest throw I've ever seen. He did everything a QB could possible do on that play, even if his guy dropped it.

Brady is the real #1, and everyone knows it
So here’s the thing: Patrick Mahomes, PHYSICALLY, played a great game in the Super Bowl. But INTELLECTUALLY, he wasn’t very smart in the Super Bowl and that was why they lost. They knew their O line was terrible, they knew by halftime they couldn’t block the pass rush… So why didn’t they try short passes, rub routes, screen passes, flood concepts, drive routes, and do more running with some play action, etc things that get open fairly quickly and negate the rush? They should’ve done way more screen passes. Patrick Mahomes was trying to do deep crossers, and fly routes, and deep dig routes, things that don’t have enough time to develop against the Bucs pass rush. He almost never threw to the underneath guy or his safety valve (running back). And even after they brutally sacked him again and again, he didn’t have the intelligence to change the game plan. He kept holding the ball and then running around like a chicken with his head cut off. That’s why they lost. With his throwing velocity and accuracy, he could’ve won if he simply had the smarts to called better plays and if he found the open guy rather than holding the ball. He held the ball too long. He’s not very smart. He’s strong and fast, but not very smart. The Chiefs D line is good too, and they also got to Brady quickly, but Brady had the common sense to always get rid of the ball under 2 seconds and Brady knew how to orchestrate a master class in offensive play calling and decision making. That’s why Brady is the GOAT

One of the things that makes Mahomes so great is that he never takes all the credit. Gets the number one football player award and credits hard work, and right after that, his teammates. Is smart enough to know he's great but is smart enough to know that football is a team sport. Is smart enough to know that it's true, but also it's important to let your teammates know that you are only there because of them.
1000 football IQ. His dad being a professional athlete probably made all the difference in his attitude and ability to know it's smart not to take credit for only yourself.
So thankful that we got him and he's turned into the player he has.

It's the little things that set him apart. Reading defenses, audibling, film study, his cadence getting guys offsides and his leadership. The dude is the total package at QB.
He did none of those things well. Brady gets the ball on average 2.5 seconds. Mahomes runs around for 6 seconds and wonders why is oline can't hold blocks. Short passes and checking down to the run would have won him the game.

Towards the end of your speech lots of qb’s have fought being destroyed Ben roethlisberger almost came back throwing 4 picks and down 28-0 in the first quarter. Had a chance to be down 1 score at the start of the fourth quarter, but bad play calling not going for it on 4th and 1 ened the game. But Ben got trashed for it. Sports media is very hypocritical
