My wife makes a couple of shrimp and feta dishes: one hot in a tomato sauce (and ouzo) over rice, the other cold with dill and served over orzo. We’ve tried the watermelon and feta dish and found it to be outstanding. We’re not Greek but lived there for a couple of years and love the cuisine.

My Dad was once married to a Greek lady who had turned myself and my brothers onto Greek food. She also had my Dad pick up some Feta cheese from the deli department of the grocery store that we had shopped at. It took a while for me to acquire a taste for Feta cheese, but the taste had kind of grew on me after awhile.
