You're right about that weather. Be interesting to see how them potatoes do. You may have some good ones from just that little row. Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
I hope with this week being cooler at night will help them make..I have planted potatoes up to 5 times in one season, but I started them inside where i could keep them cool. A good cheap experiment! Have a blessed week Friend!
Congrats on the first garden! I don't know zone your growing in, I will help you if I can. We have planting videos on several vegetables, or you can just ask! Thanks for commenting & watching!
I would say you will get a decent harvest. We planted some big baking potatoes that someone gave my wife that they were store bought on Mother's day. We planted the whole big a$$ potato that was covered in eyes I'm curious what they will do. I saw today they were popping out of the compost. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!
Ooh, baking potato! That will be good to see if they make large potatoes or not! I will try to do a follow up ,to log how these late potatoes do...Thanks for watching!
Cool experiment. Hope they grow. I'm not familiar with humus. How come you say you only have about 40 days? Do they not grow in extreme heat? Thx for bringing us along. Happy Memorial day! 🇺🇲
My 10 rows That are already planted has only been growing for about 40ish days... My experience with planting potatoes this late in the ground (in Tennessee) can rot before they have time to start. Potatoes like cool ground temps to get started...The ground temperature is already climbing with the hot days & hot nights.. If they make plants, I will get some potatoes, but yes the heat makes it hard to go potatoes...
I'm hoping the raised bed stays dryer than the ground, & they have a chance to grow. My in ground potatoes are half way or better to harvest time. Thanks
I like the challenge! lol The soil was so loose in the box, I think it will do well! Well we got 2/3" of rain some hail just in a few minutes...but little wind thanks the Lord!
Thank you! I try to include my YT friends when I pray too...That's a good dog, it was on the job! I prayed before bed...About 1:30am my bladder decided to wake me up, I heard the first round hit.
Tomatoes are tough! unless the stems are completely broke off they will heal up...The sun will pull them back up if there's nothing on them. If there tied, just go slow & pull them back in the right direction...

Potatoes love raised beds!
I hope the cold nights kelp the taters cool enough to grow & not rot... Thanks!

@@TheSwaffordHomestead ok, thanks.
Well hopefully they grow well for you.
Mine are just about ready to harvest.

Big potatoes, small potatoes - they all eat well.
Hope you didn't see any of that nasty weather I saw in Tenn yesterday!

I was praying for ya’ll last night, tornado went right over me and then headed ya’ll way. Dog woke me up before tornado alerts did

@@TheSwaffordHomestead Ha! My son says the dog is a better forecaster than the groundhog
My tomatoes are blown over, but don’t seem to be broke so hopefully will recover
