- Hello people and welcome to Thessia, our Australasia inspired chain of tropical islands. This map is a train only start, there are no 3 lane highways on Thessia and only a small national road to start out. Please enjoy our second modded build.

- What DLC do you have? All of them and every new one as it comes out.
- Why are you not putting pipes under the roads? Huge waste of nodes and I need them for building. 81 tiles has an option to remove the need for them.

The parking should probably be perpendicular to Bunnings so people can easily walk to the store front from their parking spots.

Bunnings stores are actually usually pretty clean, Ive never seen one with much trash laying about. I have also never EVER seen a Bunnings allow other businesses to advertise on its walls though haha, so VB must be paying a lot of money 😂 The stockyard area was cool but IRL, all of that would just be inside the Bunnings. The outside does usually have a massive plants area but thats about it.
As others have said, the snag tents are usually just by the front entrance without any tables or anything, you just grab and go haha. That said, your setup tickled me!
Fun fact about me: I worked at a Hungry Jacks for 8 years, ran it for 4. Definitely great placement having that nearby the BunBuns!

I loved that frame with the Hungry Jacks and Bunnings in the background. Very Aussie mate. Well done. You could take out some of the crates from the cargo area and pop in some nursery type vibes to be more authentic, but you've done exceptionally well for having never seen a Bunnings before. Also, like many have mentioned, just one sausage sizzle stand by the front door is usual, it's really a community fundraising tent, but I really like what you've done with your stands. It's not what is, but maybe what should be.
This is really nitty gritty, but the bunning’s sausage stand in never in the car park. It’s always outside the front entrance
Must depend on the Bunnings. All the ones I go to its always in the carpark. 😂

But....
Gazebo next to the front door. No tables and chairs. A sports teams banner on or near the gazebo. The sausage sizzle is a fundraiser. Parallel parking, maybe one strip along the front. Tradies entrance with timber stacked. Nursery, on the opposite side of the Tradies entrance. Big fenced nursery area which is attached to Bunnings with another entrance.

That's a massive sausage sizzle. Bunnings is not rough it's fairly normal but I guess it depends on the suburb a bit.

Bunnings is also the place for cheap plants. There isn't really a nursery asset in the base game.
The souvenirs shop is A+, every town has one.

The pool area next to the hotel feels a bit disconnected from the hotel like it might actually be someone else that owns it & then charges people for entrance/the pool lounges.
You see things like that a lot in different tourist areas around the world 😊
I think to hammer down the resort vibes you should add some more “fancy” cabanas, lounges, changing rooms/restrooms etc on the beach, With some really beautiful beach bars.
So it’s the hotel that owns that part of the beach right of the back of the hotel 😊

Love the double resort and all the details, waterjets making a return with the lights under them. The only thing I'm not convinced of if them sausage sizzle stands are facing the right direction (and how that horse got in there... 😁)

Ha! Love the shark. Idea for a future build with a home improvement store like Home Depot or Bunnings: Have the outside area as a gardening center with rows of plants, trees, flowers, and shrubs for sale and other outdoor stuff like grills/barbies/bbqs, outdoor furniture sets/umbrellas/etc. Swing us back through Valkyrie when you can. Would love to check in on the town, see how the residents are doing, stop in for a chat with the old folk by the bird baths.
Awesome build! One thing I love about our beaches is the plantations of Norfolk Island Pines, a very distinct pine tree which was once almost extinct, but is now planted all around Australia. There's a couple of great assets on the workshop if you want to add those to the waterfront. Love your work mate!
Something about the waves and noodly guitar in the intro just instantly puts you at ease right? For me the jitteriness of the overlapping white tiles is super distracting but generally the resort area is great, very chill, I would totally hang out there and drink mudslides all day
Super fun build. The hotel complex looks amazing, definitely luxurious. Maybe there should be one or two lower budget options along the waterfront. One little nit pick, the tables around the sausage stand have no shade which would make for some uncomfortable eating in the summer.

I was really confused and pissed off when I played yesterday and had the same bug with a cargo station. Thanks for clearing that up, I thought my whole railway planning was going to shit :D

8:20 In my experience it's maybe 10 vehicles that "get stuck" in a loop and they just repeatedly drive in and out and it happens at the cargo harbors as well as the rail cargo hubs so you can't just turn one off and think the problem will go away. If you have TM:PE just click on vehicles exiting the building that turn around immediately to re-enter the building and delete them. They're very easy to spot with their crazy maneuvers. If there aren't any you can see because traffic is stuck, then just delete random vehicles to create space and you'll start to see any that you've missed once movement starts happening again. Once you get the vehicles that are doing it, traffic flows through normally. No need to turn off the depot which would mess up your imports/exports, and no need to despawn all traffic which would severely mess up your public transit. Worst case, just turn on vanilla despawning again for a minute to unclog traffic and then go back to not allowing despawning at all.

I love the Bunnings asset (and woolies/Coles assets) and use it in my cities all the time!
Typically a bunnings will have one sausage sizzle stand just outside the entrance and people either take it inside to eat while shopping, or just in their cars lol
But I love this sit-down area you created so don't change it ;) its very cute.
If you wanted to expand the bunnings they usually have a garden nursery area on one side with all gardening/plants to buy. I'm sure someone else already suggested it.
The coles/woolworths assets work well in a little commercial area with banks, post offices, general commercial so that would be a cute build to see maybe on the other side of the school district.

You can make the beach even more realistic by adding some beach toilets and changing rooms, showers and maybe caffe, bars closer to the road 😊

Regarding the sausage sizzle stands. We don’t sit to eat them, it’s usually different companies/charities cooking to raise money, we aussies love a snag either on the way in or way out while we shop, 9/10 are just outside the door of Bunnings to entice you to one 😂

Coles n woolies as we call it are our two major supermarkets, it’s not uncommon to find them not far from one another 🤣

Have you thought about raising the sharks up in the water to make them more visible?
Also, maybe you could add a private beach area for the hotel resort, right in front of it. Use the luxury gazebos instead of tanningbeds and it would flesh out the left side of the beach very nice I think. Use a nice path too, a bar and maybe even a plaza splace to host beach weddings or other parties/gatherings.
Wonderful hotel, especially with the detailing. The African assets fit very well, I would say.

8:19 you can add/move a node a bit behind the entrance to the cargo station to fix the cars backing up. They're actually not despawning but driving in and driving out. So they're all entering and exiting the same spot. When I moved my nodes for my stations it fixed the issue.

Another great video Egg. I really love your creativity. Just a suggestion... I don't know if others have this issue, but when you go into the detailing timelapse, I have to turn the audio volume way down as the music gets very overwhelmingly loud. Otherwise, I do like the music, just a bit loud.
Ive never seen a proper greenhouse/nursery done in city skylines but this build would be the one to do it in! Most have rows of different saplings, a main store and greenhouse and probably also run a landscaping business out of it which would make for some fun detailing

I had a similar but not quite the same issue with the cargo station. Lorries would go in, come out and go in again. What i found was that this was being caused by the road type in front of the station. It was a 4 lane 2 way with a median. When i switched it out to just a 4 lane 2 way no median things started working properly again. I notcied you had a 2 lane 1 way and wonder if switching it up to a 2 way would temporarily fix it for now until it gets patched.
Just an idea but what about incorporating the new water slide asset within the resort?

There was a Bunnings in Chichester, UK for a short time…it took over a Homebase but Homebase took it back over and I think that was because it was too much like B&Q when before it was more like Dunelm 🤷♀️. It had a garden centre part outside rather than werehouse items

Unsure if someone has mentioned it previously but it would be great to see something similar to the Gold Coast. I guess a bigger version of Canalaven but would be great to see lots of the new detached house and pier assets used to emulate this part of the Gold Coast.

That bug is so annoying. My city albost died because I was working on a rural village with no issues and suddenly realized my traffic was like 40 percent.
Just turned everything off and deleted all traffic with TMPE
Bunnings tend to be quite pleasant stores for the most part. This is a pretty niché thing but it'd be amazing to see some volunteer fire stations or some SES stations, they are a huge part of the culture here in both rural and outer suburb areas.I love the video, it makes me want to go outside right now :)

This is coming together beautifully with those new assets. i'm on the fence about the hight of the hotel to, especially looking from the sea it's a bit odd to have all this building mass cummulated on one side of the beachfront so it might make sense to keep an eye on that moving forward. however i love what you did with the hotel(s). very nice.
Pretty sure Bunnings bought Homebase for hundreds of millions, then had to flog it for £1 a few years later! They didn't smash their move into the UK market 😂. The Spa hotel looks great - I'd definitely be sneaking in for a beer by the pool...

This build is great, makes me want to go back to Australia again. I would move the road at the back of the hotel and put the hotel right on the beach as many hotels are, so the people can walk straight to the beach from the hotel without crossing the road. Though that's just me

At 8:00 the issue is probably the new aprons from the airport dlc. I had the same issue around a cargo station and used them, so the vehicles drove through the station to the corner of one of those aprons. After I removed the apron, the problem went away. May be worth looking into that. 💙

Amazing build, but please remove the unrealistic amount of swimming pools. Your builds are great, and this is the first time I didn't like a part of it. Keep up the amazing builds. Maybe use Bob to delete swimming pools in homes.

You should get surf lifesavers for the beach, and a surf lifesavers club. Totally unsure what the foreign equivalent is, but the big clubs run an actual club building with nice restaurant, function rooms, etc etc. If you Google "best lifesavers clubs" you'll see.
