- Step by step video on how to evenly cook frozen fries without all those burnt or hard bits. How is this done? All you need is some crumpled aluminum foil, a cookie sheet and your favorite brand of frozen fries (of course a preheated oven would be nice, too)! by Tom Fox magiclandfarms.com
Places we purchase frozen fries:
Wal-Mart
Shop-n-Save
Meijer
Plumbs
Gordon Food Service
Brands of Potato Fries my family likes:
Ore-Ida
Alexia
Checkers
Generic brands such as Great Value from Wal-Mart, Meijer, Gordon Food, etc. I have no complaints about.

thank God for this...everybody doin raw potatoes can't seem to find tutorial for market pack fries..till this one..thanks...
Right on
Same here 😂
Thank you so much! I moved out of my parents, I find cooking harder than anything 😅
good luck :)
Hope you doing good In Christ 💙🙏🏽
@@lveldreess Thanks ^-^

@@sudosudosudo As good as anyone in this rough period in 2020, wbu??
Wow... so simple, yet effective! Thanks for the tip. I go crazy trying to flip each fry without the foil :)
Preheat the pan and then the foil and spray with oil. If you hear a sizzle when adding the cold fries it’s perfect.
So glad I found this video. Normally I hate oven fries but these were delicious
Thank God this women had the brains to figure this out, I never could get them worth eating before viewing her simple instructions.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE VID!
THE SIMPLEST MEALS ARE THE BEST!
I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE COMPLICATE MEALS WITH LIKE 10 SPICES
I like variations of color in my fries. Some slightly burned, some not. Makes them look more appetizing. :)
Like ur profile pic lol, a little burnt a little raw
I like this video. Thank you for posting it. I have been looking for instructions on how to bake fries without added oil. The aluminum foil is a great idea and allows the fries to cook evenly, and without burning.
I love those Frozen Rallys fries.. i use the foil method too...
I did know this. But a very nice vid. Thank you!
Thank god. Now I don't gotta worry about cleaning as much 😂😂
Excellent tutorial, and I will try it right now.
Awesome, every time I make fries the really brown ends are crunch the middle is soft and sometimes soggy
Thank you soooo much, I made it and it tastes better then flying
Fantastic!! We appreciated this cooking method you shared sooo much! What a difference!😃
Well, I like my fries to look like the ones without the foil. I might try the longer time (> 23 minutes) with crumpled foil to see if I get “ crispier( and browner) fries that you mentioned as an alternative.
Thank you SO MUCH for this video. You are a literal lifesaver. ☺️❤️x
This tip saved me catering for a steak and chips dinner for 6 guests. They were perfect, with no fuss no mess and delicious! Thank you!
Why are people hating on her oven, those vintage ovens cook far more efficiently than these new tin cans
love the tinfoil method. works great Thanks for sharing ~
I'll try this today and see if it really works
Thank you. I just tried this and the “fries” were awesome.
Why on earth did you put "fries" in quotes?
@@englishatheart likely because the “fries” weren’t fried
excellent will try this
the timing and the temperature are perfect...
Thank you fro the vid I will try this trick! just one doubt: Do you also have to turn your tin foil fries over with a spatula?
No. The crumpled foil means the air circulates under the fries.
Just question i was wanting to ask
GREAT Tip thank you !
Instructions unclear, I burnt down my whole house.

No oil on the fries before putting them into the oven.?
A REDTAIL oil is bad for cooking fries in the oven because it of its low smoke point
Thanks for the tip but I think you should grab an sos pad.
Just because it has a bit of brown on it doesn’t mean it’s burn it. It’s better like that
Gordon Ramsay is shaking
@Chief10 Beers it isn't raw you just did it wrong the oven has to be hot 400 degrees Fahrenheit before you put the fries in
@Chief10 Beers Anyone that needs a fancy oven/stove to cook, well they can't cook. Dear lord, some of the best cooking/recipes ever were developed using hard to regulate wood cookers.
@Chief10 Beers lmfao the fries don't look raw
U could just broil then bake
I'm stealing this idea and I'm going to sell oven fry cookers on late night informercials.
Do they haft to be oven chips or cud u use frying chips aswell
ok trying this tonight and I was prepared to trying deep fry...But we'll see and I'll update tomorrow......But at least this method takes away the flipping part...and to honest who ever really gets them all flipped.....
no olive oil no salt or pepper ?
+731ASMA olive oil is bad for crisping in the oven because of its low smoke point, canola would work better if anything
Store bought frozen fries already have oil. No need to add more.
Call me weird but I like burnt fries!
Same i love fries
What are burnt
Acard89 weird 🤭
Who doesn't
Mee too. I told my wife. To make it toasted/burned it😂
Was it crispy though?
LOOKS RAW
the bags always say to use foil and also the hard fries are better
nope. in the frying pan is the best way
Joy C not everyone wants to take the time frying. Plus most of us here are probably to lazy to make natural fries anyways 😂
But for kids who are alone this is the way to go
air frying them is best
What bugs me bout frozen fries is they are pointed edges, they should make them square at the ends by now so they don't get hard..your buying enders of their potatoes or whatever they are..
Deep Fry in OIL!
but the cruchy bits are the best
Fries is a humans best friend
I want to eat fries now cuase I like to eat it with cheese and salt
I think the non foil ones look better.
Also, your audio mix is hard to hear your voice over the sound of foil etc
I have a non stick cookie sheet has ridges in the bottom. fries come out good in that. It is a heavier pan as well.
nothing like deep fried fries... baked suck
Bake is more healthy

@@togetunthemood43 what kind of dumb question is that?

The trick is spray them with Pam and spray tray w/Pam (or any oil). It gets the same "taste" as deep fried with significantly less grease.
Why would you be giving instructions while you make all that noise in the background!? Wtf
Lmao 🤣
I hate the burned ends
The tin foil chips look under cooked . I like a bit more colour on mine.
Can you add oil to the tinfoil fries?
no
Everyone is ok with that oven 😢😮
I like your method but these are ALMOST perfect frozen fries. If you want real perfect fast food style fries, hit them with a spray oil before they go in the oven. it is much closer to perfect than dry fries.
wouldnt the aluminum foii start on fire inside the hot oven?
how would an aluminium foil get burnt lol? its aluminium, not paper?
direct heat and a hot pan
Spray some Pam on there so they don't stick.
tha'ts not a microwave
You cook them wrong
her voice
ASVP Bobby that oven!
Can anyone explain why is the foil crumpled?
so the hot air circulates between the crumples and so under the fries
I tried this trick . My foil ended ip burning and ruined my last bag of frozen fries from college
Rich people and their foil...buy a oven safe cookie rack for 5 bucks.
Foil is even cheaper lol
Throw them in hot lard for a few minutes, save the foil for your windows or to make a hat. You are welcome.
Ew
You need to clean your oven. Looks gross
Oh wow, don’t look at my oven. How do you clean your oven? Do you use the self cleaning function? Oh wait, the outside of oven looks bad. You are right.
Electric stoves suck asssssa
yikes!!!! clean-up patrol where are you? pan is nasty as heck...
Old.
Ewww that oven looks disgusting
It's a pretty old oven. It's only going to gt so clean
You don't really need a video for this recipe, do you? Just say, "Place fries on tin foil on cookie sheet. Cook at 400 for 25 minutes." What's the point of the video? This is just awful.
