How to Cook Perfect Frozen Fries

  • Step by step video on how to evenly cook frozen fries without all those burnt or hard bits. How is this done? All you need is some crumpled aluminum foil, a cookie sheet and your favorite brand of frozen fries (of course a preheated oven would be nice, too)! by Tom Fox magiclandfarms.com

    Preheat the pan and then the foil and spray with oil. If you hear a sizzle when adding the cold fries it’s perfect.

    I like this video. Thank you for posting it. I have been looking for instructions on how to bake fries without added oil. The aluminum foil is a great idea and allows the fries to cook evenly, and without burning.

    Well, I like my fries to look like the ones without the foil. I might try the longer time (> 23 minutes) with crumpled foil to see if I get “ crispier( and browner) fries that you mentioned as an alternative.

      No. The crumpled foil means the air circulates under the fries.

      A REDTAIL oil is bad for cooking fries in the oven because it of its low smoke point

    What bugs me bout frozen fries is they are pointed edges, they should make them square at the ends by now so they don't get hard..your buying enders of their potatoes or whatever they are..

    I have a non stick cookie sheet has ridges in the bottom. fries come out good in that. It is a heavier pan as well.

      The trick is spray them with Pam and spray tray w/Pam (or any oil). It gets the same "taste" as deep fried with significantly less grease.

    I like your method but these are ALMOST perfect frozen fries. If you want real perfect fast food style fries, hit them with a spray oil before they go in the oven. it is much closer to perfect than dry fries.

    You don't really need a video for this recipe, do you? Just say, "Place fries on tin foil on cookie sheet. Cook at 400 for 25 minutes." What's the point of the video? This is just awful.
