What if Alter is literally an alternate timeline Wraith. Wraiths whole backstory was "i had to leave my world to find what i was looking for" it could literally be another wraith thats gone down a different path to our wraith.

I can’t believe they aren’t just launching the new legend in season 20. If they added the new legend plus the changes it would be a banger of an update instead of just balance changes in the form of “perks” and a matchmaking rollback. Most of the perks just give the legends abilities that they should just have by default in my opinion.

So basically she allows a team to make an extremely aggressive push and if it fails they can pop the ult and go back to where they came from, similar to revs old ult I guess. If one of the perks is the one ash has that stops enemies from taking it she could be good
to allow teammates to get a squad 1hp and to be able to push again is kinda broken
Alter could have a lot to do with wraith lore wise, as they seem to have stuff to do with the void, and the name alter could reference being wraiths alter-ego
Also could be linked with horizon as we saw her sad at the end. Maybe a test subject like wraith.
Horizon son is the new legend but he's actually transgender now, and his legend name alter means alter to something.

Good catch with the subject zero lore 👍🏼 The amount of detail that went into that interaction with Bangalore Wraith and Mirage was heavy foreshadowing for the character to be reintroduced at some point into the lore. If she has a time gauntlet and so does Octane, this should get very interesting.
Exactly. And the narrative director confirming that we’re getting a year long lore arc based around horizons time travel, and that gameplay features will be heavily based around lore makes me believe it even more

I think we need to have an Assault Legend that counters Conduit’s re-shield, a tactical skill making weapon ammo into poison bullets that reduces all healing and shielding by 50% for 5 secs;
or maybe someone that can clear clutter skills since everyone likes using Catalyst’s wall with Conduit’s Jammer; something like KAYO’s knife or ult from Valorant.

The only character who had that ability ( silence ) is seer but he kind of sucks rn. hopefully the perks make him better

Yes it’s the same asset, but It isn’t a respawn beacon though it’s her ability.
When legends are in development they just use existing assets while they figure things out. We saw this in the giant leak back in 2022

what if alters ability is that they copy the abilities of any enemy that damages them (tactical only) but with different animations and less efficiency hence the name alter as in alternative

Alter sounds like a rework of Fade from mobile. The first ability is a version of his tactical ability only it likes more like an ultimate ability and the second sounds like they took the scanning part of his original ultimate and made it a passive that is used while thy are in the void dimension.
Honestly I really just want Fade at this point cuz I really liked his design and the heirloom as well
I think it will be very different though why do you think he used that ability on his downed teammate I doubt it was to be used like a wraith portal revive but the time aspect itself made it so his teammate was never knocked down

Hear me out: what if this legend helps horizon go back in time to see newt. If this is really a rewind ability like in apex mobile, then that could be a way they implemented this into the lore
I mean, I wonder if this is Fade from the Mobile game cause wasn't it said that the mobile legends were coming to the game at some point (or they wanted to)? If I recall Fade's ult was a giant Void space so maybe you can see enemies in it but they can't see you (and you obvi can't shoot). My other conspiracy, is Ashe Reborn (which is far out there) but if Horizon is getting a main focus, then it is also likely Ashe gets some focus as well.

What if he ult lets people move freely through the void for a short period where you’re invisible and maybe don’t take damage but as soon as you shoot or do anything you’re out of it? Idk. Imagine if Alter can place a portal and when Loba for example goes through, she is instantly revived and have the amount of health and shields she had before being knocked
I was thinking that alter was able to place that ring (kinda like the portals on the titanic in Bo4) and you could jump out when you want but alter would be able to control where the portal goes
Would be cool if alter is a wraith variant who is just extremely evil and goes by a different name. We know our wraith made it to this universe who is to say it is not possible for other versions
Wild guess someone has already made no doubt but instead of being a solid portal like wraith it seems like it's transparent so assuming seen from the void was Loba looking back through and seeing the player. Even more interesting would be if the tunnel is interactive and bullets or nades can travel through it.
i assume the circle is a portal that you can see through (like the portal game). Seen from the void is most likely, you're on line of sight of the portal. So you can maybe shoot through the portal.

TIME TRAVEL! YEEESSSS! I've been working on ideas for a time travel legend, trying to theorize legends before they are leaked/released. I have been trying hard for a long while but the rewind ult is almost exactly what I thought. Only problem I had was figuring in the balancing and server feedback. It would be a lot for the game to have to save an amount of time to start over at without affecting the things already in it. It also probably has a radius which is also somewhat difficult. I can only imagine how long they've worked on the abilities for Alter.

If this is a new character that deals with some sort of rewind time travel, that would make a lot of sense given the teaser we were given at the end of the Breakout trailer.
We're going to get more Horizon lore, the one character who wants to travel back in time, who better to introduce than a new character with those abilities.

its not season 21 gameplay, its the dev build. its where they test everything. So at that point they hadnt removed digi threats from smg's. It isnt difficult to remove digi threats from smg's so why even bother in the test build at that point.
