wow! thankyou ! Isopods ! ( what else do you need in life ? ) Isopods are my favorite animals!!! my favorite ones are armadillo officinalis Greece , local lads , dairy cows, powder blues and the best ones - porcellio werneri . the trilobites )
when I first got my isopods ( from the outside off course ) I could not help looking in to the colony and moving stuff to see them , knowing they would do better if I would not ... but its this black hole of isopod keeping witch keeps you in...
question ! should I split the isopod culture if there are like hundreds of'em ?
my first ever shoutout in any video !!! thank you very much ! ❤❤❤
Well hello there! I’m very happy to hear you enjoyed the video!
It definitely helps to split very large cultures up 👍🏼.
It was my pleasure! I really appreciate your support and viewership so it was the least I could do!
Take care!
Why do you like isopods so much? They’re very boring in my opinion.
@@oud13yearsago83 isopods are awesome. If you don't like them first glance, there is not a lot of ways to convince you... But I got interested in isopods, from a feeding video from Dayyan, and then I fell in to this black hole - if you get in there is no way out... Now I have a few of my own isopods all thanks to Dayyan ☺️
@@mrx3430 Lol I’m much more interested in keeping arachnids and insects. I have a tailless whip scorpion right now, I was thinking about getting springtails for his enclosure, they’re somewhat isopods no? Lol.
@@oud13yearsago83 springtails eat mold, and isopods eat detritus . tailless whip scorpion = vinegaroon ?
Phew! Believe me when I say this video took hours to film and edit (as the isopod tours always do)! Hope you all enjoy the first isopod tour of 2021! Make sure to watch till the end for the question of the day! Don't forget I always have leave a list of isopod species featured in the video description in order of appearance so that you know what everything is and how to spell each species latin names! I accidentally forgot to create a label for Porcellio hoffmannseggi which appears in the video at 36:37. Thanks for watching!
Oh sorry I didn‘t knew that but I like youre videos and that is a good explaination. I really love youre Gecko videos and I am about to get one and I am pretty excited.
I‘m really sorry cause I like Isopods and its kinda annoying when there are so much of em. I love youre channel and subscribed and gave 3/4 of youre vids a thumbs up so I just was in rage. sorry :)
Hey do you have any suggestions on a good place to buy isopods in Ontario?
nmms hay un chingo de esos en mi patio jajajaja🤣 soy de México son muchos y se les conocen como cochinillas en mi país, y tal vez en E.U.A se le conozcan como insecto armadillo, nmms there's a little of those in my yard hahaha I'm from Mexico are many and they are known as piglets in my country, and maybe in the U.S. they are known as armadillo insect.
Welp you have a big fan!
i literally got my first isopods delivered today. chilling with them next to me as i roll a blunt and enjoy this. gl this year dude, and keep up these vids, they're great :)
Got my many legged zebras yesterday lol
Vibes bruh …. Vibes 🔥
My man
Dude i cant think of anything worse to look at while smoking a blunt no harm
@@Padraig4444 nah looking at any wildlife is cool lol 😂 I used to smoke dabs and stare into my closed jar ecosystems
I don't know if this counts but my favorite isopod is the giant isopods that live at the bottom of the ocean they just look so cool it's like you can see the isopods details so clearly without a micro scope
Of course it counts! They are crazy cool!
When he put the chef stuff on I just died
👨🏻🍳
When he rolled up his sleeves is what put me in a coffin
Yes😂
Ha yeah. Funny guy. 👍👍
My son., now 21, used to collect isopods from our Western Washington yard (constantly move objects to procure them, objects dad daily felt it necessary to reorient to their designated locations)..... And bring them in his room.... In his bed.
One time my wife went to wake him and she found hundreds of them in his bed with him "because they were his friends" and he liked the way it felt.
I just now discovered isopod appreciation is a thing...
When I was growing up my family called these wood lice. I really needed a video to enjoy my nan passed last night from rona and a lump on a lung also I have really bad toothache and really needed something to take my mind off things.
Mine too last weekend.. my deepest condolences
The exotics community is so adorable. Making my life better every day haha.
When you put on the chef outfit I almost fell out of my chair 😂
Careful! I’m a funny guy. Next time you should watch in your car with a seat belt on ☺️😉.
Gotta love the effort this man puts into these videos
Just got home from work now it’s time to lay down, unwind and enjoy all the cute isopods 😍
☺️🙏🏼
It’s that easy dart frogs!
I’m messing around but I would love to see your dart frogs
hahaha clever, clever
ok... here we go again ) 😂
I watched your isopod videos and got so fired up! I bought some powder oranges and set up their enclosure today!! So excited to see them exploring the environment I created for them!! Thank you for option a whole new world to me!!
I love isopods. I watched your last tour just a few months ago and this is a lovely sight.
so cool! love the close up shots!!
Young man I’ve watched several of your videos today starting with the regal jumping spider! I am absolutely fascinated and you are perfect for them! You have such love for living things and you see the beauty in everything! I will be watching you and sharing your amazing videos!
Man I remember being young and seeing these things I used to call them Rolly Pollys
Me too
Who didn’t I still do 😂
Same

Haha, I love the featured guest and all the screenshots - cool of you as a channel owner to hear them and create a tour video! I was also looking forward to one, so thanks, Mr. X!
Awesome vid thank you.
Looking to get into the hobby and been doing research for about 10months. This has been one of the best feeding vids to learn from I’ve watched yet. It was great to watch you feed them, how you feed them, talk about the different foods, see how much you feed them and all the other neat info along the way. Repetition is how we learn, I’m thankful for the full feed, not boring by any means 😮🤔💜
I've never been this early before! Pods having lunch on my lunch-break!
Haha enjoy! Thanks for watching!
Just watched your last tour last night! Stoked to see this one 🥰
Wonderful! Thanks for watching!
These videos are always a delight and so relaxing😁😁😁
Happy to hear that!
Yessss finally a good video of isopods 💚🖤💛💙💖🖤
Bon appétit chef 👨🍳Great video and amazing collection Dayyan!! Thanks for the quality content and all the effort man. (those magic potions 😍)
Thank you friend! I really appreciate it! 🙏🏼
I got my first isopods a year ago, and they are doing great! Even after I moved 1680 miles! I have P. scaber lottery mix and P. laevis dairy cow. The next type I want are Armadidium maculatum.
The way you talk to them is so cute! I’ve been researching a lot to get myself a couple of cultures. Would love some more isopod videos! 🥰
Man, that was awesome. I could watch these for hours and hours.
My favorite Pod species is really P. laevis dairy cow, since these were my first isopods when I started and they are still impressive. I can always see a few of them, they have a huge appetite, and the variety of pattern never gets boring!
Dairy cows are awesome but my favorite are porcellio ornatus high yellow's
So far my favorite isopod video, I know this took huge time, but Thank you! Seeing the set up, the ones that really like more proteins, dryer vs more humid, all great info!
Thank you!
I have some Cubaris "Panda King" isopods and I really like them, they're very cute and finding them in my huge tank always cheers me up!
I’ve been waiting for this!!!!
Hope you liked it!
Reptiliatus I did :) you’re one of the reasons I joined the hobby. Gestroi is my favorite armadillidium genus
Dairy Cows!! Your channel got me started on keeping my own colony!! I hope to get a variety of isopods in the future, but always have had a love for cows, so deff had to start there!
great video dayyan!
Thanks!
I have almost 500 always in my backyard... Thanks for helping me breed em
Perfect!!!
I love isopods amazing video
Thank you 🙏🏼
Very cool video… I enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you so much!
My pleasure! So glad you liked it!
Thanks for the tour!
You’re most welcome!
Great video good luck keeping those awesome animals! 😁
Praise 4 Mr X!
Starting my first isopod culture with some wild caught ones
Love isopods!
Me too!
Party mix is my favorite variety, anything that might wind up blue or purple is my happy place. Of course bigger is also better.
My favorite is magic potion! they're just so cute and not too difficult ❤
They are amazing!
Thank you Dion. It was enjoyable. My favorite is a toss up between dairy cows and zebras. Mine are very friendly and are out in the open. Take care.
My pleasure! Great choices!
Yesss isopods love fiah food. I give mine just normal flakes. I had 30 to start with and then before I knew it I had at LEAST a thousand. I had to split my colony up. Its actually so fun to watch their numbers increase - they spread like fire when they get going!
I just got some dwarf whites for clean-up crew but watching your video has peaked me interest for more! Especially the Albino Japan and Magic Potion 😀
I looooove Isopods, I only have 3 different types and originally only got them as clean up crews, but now they are the heartbeat of my little ecosystem. They are so cute and interesting to watch, also they make the maintenance of the enclosures so easy, and are the best food for my sling tarantulas and scorpions, and they are great to handle. I love them and can't wait to get some more ^^
amazing
Thanks! 🙏🏼
Yesss! Isopods!
Beautiful
you are the isopod king the isopods is so cool and cute
Haha thank you for the flattering comment! I am far from it but I do enjoy them!
Very nice video, hoping to se more soon :)
i like how with almost every single one. you say its one of your favorites. i would suggest trying to get your hands on some lava isopods. i just got some in, they are so beautiful.
My favorite is the Porcellio Expansus
I looked up the definition of wholesome and literally saw a photo of Dayyan’s face. No joke. 🥸
☺️😅🙏🏼
My favorite species is porcellio ornatus high yellow because I love how big they are and the way their colouration looks
They are super cool!
@@Reptiliatus when are you planning to do your next isopod tour
I found some calicoes in my garden. how lucky :) thanks for the vid
I'm new to the vivarium hobby, just set up my first enclosure and waiting for some orange scabers to arrive. I can relate to dropping a handful of leaves and thinking it's perfect and wonderful. :)
So, my favorite isopod species are the C. Murina and the P. Floria. They were my first ever isopods so this is why they are my favorites.
hello great video of isopods
Thanks!
So cute!
Thank you!
Great isopod footage!
If the show in Toronto is a go this year and they are bringing me in I’ll hook you up with a new group of Mags.
My current favourite, like you I like most of them, would be the C.lemon Blues. In your video the ones I loved the best would be the P. scaber Calicos.
Look forward to more videos on Isopods as always
You are too kind! That would be wonderful! ☺️🙏🏼
I like the curly isopods, I love how they have the body type of a saber but can roll like an armadalidium but their aentena on the outside are the cutest things ever. I hope that what I have aren't all males
I was waiting for that one too 🔥🔥 next centipede I hope 😁😁
More Isopods!
Man I love these little creatures im slowing buildings my groups up only have 2 species
Cool video I've been keeping alot of woodlice and it's been so fun I had to subscribe your channel is nuts !

Montenegro are beautiful. Love those. ❤️
Yay!!!!
Finally Isopods again :))))
This video literally brought me to this channel. I, too, love Isopods. They're so much fun! How can you not love their little leggies?
Thanks so much and welcome!
Hey dude I hv kept some isopods too n I find them actually pretty like pumpkins especially cubaris sp boreno
Cool video
Butiful isopods, Wow
Thank you!
I’ve never been so interested in isopods
I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
Great collection video. Why the egg crate? What kind of springtime do you use. Dairy cows are my favorite I just love the way they look.
Lol i love it when he dresses up😂😂
👨🏻🍳
Nice 👌
there all gorgeous
大きなわらじ虫。
ぺったんこでかわいいですね😃
だんごむしもかわいい。
日本語字幕ほしいです🥲
I bought 40 powdered oranges last September and now have about a 1000. But they are with springtime and dwarf whites and purples. I just ordered 5 rubber duckies and will set them up with springtime only. I also mist with the water I use for my anoles, it has liquid calcium added. My bioactive is too full of too. I believe the calcium water is the reason for the explosion
I use to find these in my yard
I’m new to the hobby , and discovered your channel looking into different isopod care , I watched I think all your tours lol 😂 is it possible if we can get a 2022 tour ? Don’t put me on blast tho like mr X 🤣 😂 , again I enjoy your videos and appreciate the content
Do video adout all feeder insect you heve love your video you are the bast
Oh man too much variety of isopods I never thought there are varities in them they only insects to me 😂 but yep very thrilled to know about them and to big if a episode
I caught some isopods from my area in new orleans and there is a ton of isopods. I have 4 species but one is unidentified. I have armidillidium nasatum, armidillidium vulgare and porcellio pruinosis"powder blue"
Love your stuff! I recently got a small starter colony of Armadillidium maculatum, (9 of them to be precise). Any advice or tips to get the colony to grow and establish? I have them set up like yours, and I've been offering sliced veggies and dried sardines. Thanks!
Keep doing why you are doing! Have patience as the Armadillidium genus sometimes take longer to start reproducing. as long as things aren’t too moist everywhere and they do have a drier side accompanied by a nice moist area and a moss corner with good substrate and food all round, they should do great! How is the ventilation? You want to make sure there is some ventilation as well :).
2:02 dude I can’t with you! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sooo Beautiful...long video but loved it...where do you get so many different species..???
Scorpion tour and feeding when?
And how do you sanitize the bark and leaf litter you find outside?
I’m gonna get my own isopods😊
Wonderful!
R.I.P moo moo
😢🙏🏼
Yoo reptiliatus! Sry I was a little late for this vid but it was great! That's hilarious that that guy was spamming I mean it's not like I have done that with the red eyed crocs or anything 👀😂 but ya great vid keep up the great work bro!!!
Haha no worries! Thanks so much for your support and viewership haha. Just know that I always see you guys 😉
I LOVE ISPODS ❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍😍😍
Me too!
Also what is your routine with them on watering and feeding
How long would it take me to sell enough wild type ispods to buy some different say porcelio scabers
Have you ever looked into Rubber Ducky Isopods? (Cubaris sp. Rubber Ducky) I think they were found in Thailand round limestone caves, so they may have some unique care requirements, I just love how they look and cause they can be quite pricey (sometimes), I feel I'll probably end up keeping them as pets, instead of breeding for bioactive enclosures like I'll probably end up doing with a few species, (Some for tropical bios and some for arid bios) 😅 Just so I can see them more easily, instead of having some sort of other invert, reptiles or amphibian in there. Really love your videos, keep up the great work 👍 It's nice to actually have some good pettubers I can watch instead of having to avoid all the exotic pet videos out there, I can at least have some to watch 🤗
