    I think its a good thing when all the info is smashed on 1 screen. It still includes all the same info of both tracks and you don't have to jump between 2 screens to get the info you want. just 1 screen = all info. xz is the best thing pioneer has ever made I feel.

    the new CDJs are a kick in the face for actual CD DJs, since it's not an actual cd player.
    I'm glad they have the all in one units, but the club standard gear is kind of impractical. Sure it might be nice to own, but it's so nice having one thing that does it all. (the standalones do double as just straight up mixers too)

    This thing is a beast!
    A few months ago I was very confused between getting a DDJ or an XDJ. My problem is that I couldn't decide which controller nor which All-In-One I wanted/needed. (ddj800 vs ddj1000 vs XDJ-RX2 vs XDJ-XZ).
    I understood quickly that the XZ was the way to go in terms of an all in one. In the vontroller side it was much more difficult. I'm a mobile Dj and I do weddings most of the time, so I only use 2 channels to mix. But the ddj1000 really seems as a better tool in general. I finally decided I needed the DDJ 800 and wanted the XDJ-XZ. I didn't went for the RX2 because it doesn't give me the master EQ nor the independent 3 band EQ on mics (plus the other 2 channels available and the on jog displays). And I didn't went for the ddj 1000 because it only gave me 1 more channel (800 has an aux channel), bigger jogs (which i dont mind since I have played alwas with a ddj sx) and a second USB that seems to be the best feature it gains, but I can throw in an anolg mixer and make the other Dj arive with his controller.
    I think it is a long comment and a very useless one for most other Djs and enthusiasts, but I wanted to share my choice and this video seemed like the best place to do it.
    P.D. I already bought my DDJ 800, but this fu***ng virus and the harsh times I am going through stopped me from buying the XZ (for now).

I have no relationship whatsoever to Rekordbok or Pioneer. I am a completely clean-slate. Bigger jogs, small jogs.. again, I have no idea. I've never used a cdj. This is all gonna be new to me, why not take a chance on the company that's working twice as hard to stay innovative and compete with the big-dog company and the price is good! Now that I own a xdj xz for a fair price, I can practice my sets at home, and when I have to play at a venue, it feels no diffferent. The only question I have is, when there is damage due too somebody spilling a beer or something over the xz, is it also repairable just like the professional players? There are no visual screws or what so ever on the XZ. There is a big price difference, and when a cdj or your djm get's damaged you can put the damaged product for repair. Coming up in a slightly underground basement party scene CDJs were viewed as a necessity, like a DJ wasnt legit if he didnt spin on CDJS there was a sort of condescending air towards controllers and laptops and the like. As ive matured and graduated to wedding gigs rather than K parties, ive started to see that the true best system is the one that works every time with minimal issues, allowing you to play your tracks seamlessly, keep the dance going, and field requests if possible. It has to look legit too, and as Traktor have officially discontinued sjpport for the Kontrol series, my dorky s4 js going to have to become a wall hanging.

    The Denon Prime 4 is why Pioneer made the XZ. They had to make it. They did a good job. Denon just did a better job. The Denon is a true no computer 4 channel stand alone controller. Also having wifi streaming capability puts it in a class that Pioneer can't touch at the moment.

      Advantage with Pioneer Xdj XZ is you can use USB and laptop at the same time, so you can do audio mixing with USBs and Video mixing via laptops on other 2 channels.
      With the Denon Prime 4 it's either 4ch standalone or laptop, I understand you have ro reboot the unit to standalone or laptop, this is let down on P4 also the jog wheels or really for scratching, it's fine for beat mixing.
      Overall the Pioneer is yesterday's controller, compared to P4, wish it had a bigger screen and touch mode with wifi streaming

    • @KizawaDJ
      @KizawaDJ  Před 3 lety +2

      On home setups and nightclub systems the difference in sound quality is negligible. What's the point in me talking about "the big rigs" when that's less than 0.1% of the people watching?

    • @ericpeters0n
      @ericpeters0n Před 3 lety

      @@KizawaDJ What's the point?
      No offense intended. Just a bit of feedback on something that was clearly missing.
      You're already into the thousands of $$ with this bit of kit. It's not a toy. It's worth talking about.
      (Hint: That's a large part of the reason why the standalone gear is more expensive.)
      "Sound quality" is an important part of the equation.
      If you didn't do this research, don't know enough to evaluate this, or can't hear well enough to address the differences...or, y'know, if you're one of those guys who thinks mp3s are "just fine", nevermind...

    • @KizawaDJ
      @KizawaDJ  Před 3 lety +9

      The point is I'm making a video for the fans of this industry. Maybe they're thinking of getting an XZ, Maybe they are looking at getting an old set of CDJs. It's a discussion about features and specifications. I'm not a professional sound engineer, nor do I want to be. Im sure the higher end equipment performs better on the big stage. This video isn't for the big stage. CamelPhat aren't going to watch this video and go oh yeah, DJ Kiz Walsh said the XZ is better value so I'm getting that! Its of course for the bedroom DJs / Mobile / Club DJs who want the main differences between the two setups. Stop overthinking and just enjoy it for what it is.
