Onya Dan. Yet again, spot on. There is far too much YT shite about which pressing is better than the original and how we all need to buy this release because it is "cut by" and "mastered by"...---it does make you puke! And, as much as those guys try, they get sucked back into their "sovereignty and sophistication" as soon as a new release is out by Chad's AP or Rhino or Tone Poets. They don't inspire any confidence that they know ANYTHING about the content, the meaning, the history or the music! Man, we can all rant, but you put it to air for all of your followers and what you say is REAL. Thanks for doing that but even more, for the guidance and historic, cultural stories. Dig Jazz!

I try to NOT rant about it to often..but it is so persistent and seems to be the only context most of them ever have ?!?!
Its an insult to these great men, to only be discussing these periphery issues when so much blood and pain is rooted in this art form..
Its akin to a Bible study club, and we only discuss which editions of King James we prefer... the text was bigger, the margins were wider. .the binding superior... who fucking cares??
NONE of the magic and power lies in these subjects... NONE of it...

The bossa craze was the product of the jet age, when peeps could holiday down to Rio. Invariably being, the polar opposite of the social struggle our domestic black musicians endured.

Another pet peeve of mine on Facebook groups besides the audiophile talk: too many people commenting on how they don’t like any records with organ on it, or flute, or whatever. We all have preferences but what a dumb comment to post!

I think for a large majority of the world the American flag still represents freedom. Otherwise we wouldn’t see, all across our country illegal immigrants rushing our borders and sleeping in our police stations.
I think the majority of the disillusioned of the American dream and what the flag means are American citizens. And I’m one of them.
