Hey Nick, The loose rear valance is the noise you are hearing when hitting bumps...Also that damage on the right front corner of the fender is not just a small piece of trim... It's a one piece fiberglass panel which is the entire front of the car running from right fender to the left fender..I hope this helps some with representing the car for the buyers out there.
I appreciate the honest review, and test drive. Here is my honest opinion. That one is a pile. 💙😊✌️
$15 to $20k car.. nice
@RightDucman You guys haven't priced any classic and or muscle cars in 10 years or so. If it's out of your price range, don't buy it.
I saw the car today. It’s rough.
People complaining about the price, I don’t get it… It’s a plum crazy challenger. It’s worth more than 15 grand. Regardless of the 318. Y’all act like this isn’t a perfect car to put a mild 440 in and an 833 4 speed. Or you can pay double for one that’s too nice and you’re afraid to drive it. Just my two cents.
You have to change the K member for a big block don't you? Just put a stout 408 small block in it and a 5 or 6 speed or even a 4 speed. Just put the 318 and 3 speed on a shelf.
@@robfogarty60 Already have a big block 4 speed Mopar, otherwise I might have.
@@davidkeeton6716 No. the K frame is the same for all V8’s. The 6 quart oil pan 440’s got a skid plate.
People want something for nothing but ayy who doesn’t
@@davidkeeton6716my brother had a 340 with a cam ‘headers and some head polishing . He beat every stock big block he ran . Car ran 12.78 back when most were mid 14 . Also had a 4.10 gear . 4 speed .
I love em!!!! I would cherish this challenger and fix lil by lil until its a solid BEAST!!!! i would save up for a 440 or 426 hemi maybe even a 383 stroker and have it runnin! I know some guys that would probably even find me a hellcat motor 😁 this has always been that one car that i wanted if i couldnt get my 70 chevelle or 67 camaro or my 69/70 javelin😂 i know i love alot of rides.... but i swear i wish i could come get this car nick! Plum crazy too🤤 i freakin love this car.......✌🏼
I agree!!! 👍👍
I'd buy that Nick , maybe 25,900 with the work that needs to be done but again a GREAT FIND as USUALL 💪🏼💯
That's what I was thinking $25,000
You have some bushings that have been neglected and are in need of greasing
72 Challenger shes been hit fairly hard in the back, $28 might be a bit much she needs a lot of work, easier to do a full frame off and dip that patch as you go, ton of work there, dip seal and prime the chassis is the way to go, snag OEM 3rd party where you can they make a lot for these cars today, full quarter panels front and rear everything you might need as apposed to patching it up, a guy could drive the wheels off'n it then let the next guy go for it... lol
🏆Great cars🏆 I had a "73" the ladies loved it 🍀80s we're awesome 😎✌️
Plum crazy purple good sounding exhaust that's a really nice car I'm glad to see you guys are getting some Mopars on the lot I still see that little red express truck and background must be a personal ride
This will be a great car to drive around while you source a dual quad 426 hemi and a 4-speed to p
Perfect candidate for a hellcat engine swap!
Probably snap it in half!
Put a 408 small block and a 4, 5, or 6 speed in it. Don't have to change the K member. I'd change the whole grille and bumper assy and the tail panel and bumper and convert the looks to a 70 model. I just like the looks better.
Even a big block you dont have to change k members on E bodies!
I put many 440's in 318 Challenger/Barracuda from 70-74..
Must be a Mopar with Plum Crazy excited nice cruiser 72 Challenger Rallye easy thing fix are gauges & turn signals
I've been waiting for this one, because a Plum Crazy purple 70-74 Challenger is my favorite car of all time. Odd combo here; 3 speed trans, but with a console and pistol grip shifter. I've never seen that. I'd love to own this one
Oooh. The Rallye Dash. Such an unusual combo with a 318-3 speed.
Here come the experts.
What is wrong with a 318 they were some of Chryslers best engines I've had a few they all were tough and very dependable pretty fast for a small block
Hey Nick, nice ride! Love that plum crazy purple and the exhaust sounds great too! I was at a car show several years ago and saw one with a 318 with a factory 3 on the tree which I thought to be rare. This is a nice economical setup as well! Love the pistol grip 3 speed which is awesome too!🔥😊😎🇺🇸👍
Pretty nice car. They all need some degree of work. Thanks Nick!
It's definitely a good driving project. I have owned 5 old school Challengers. All 340's except for one. If I was still able to work on one, I would buy one. I know everything on a Challenger.
3 speed is a big plus. 318 is a tough emgine, have fun with it. Easy big block swap. Already has a 8 3/4 rear.
Absolutely gorgeous ride & fantastic drive, LOVE ALL YOU DRIVES & REVIEWS, HOPING TO PURCHASE a few cars from you guys this year 2024 ( all things being equal ).thanks for posting.
I like how he sets the cars on to autopilot.
$20 tops, it needs to be restored and or modified with all those little issues. If you could put $20 into it, maybe worth $40
What a beautiful car! The only thing odd is that three speed, granted its a small block car but almost act's like it was a slant six car. Still nice car Nick won't last long.
Add a built 360/408 and a 4or5 speed, and you'd have a pretty nice Challenger. Oh, and fix all the things that don't work. Oh, and a set of cragars!
put some 340 heads and a edelbrock performer on it with a 650 carb.
My absolute dream car but in a '70 or '71 model year and of course the big block 4 sp. Such a great body style. Wish they would've quit while they were ahead.
E-Bodies hold water under vynil tops. remove and see rust. also look on frontfloor i have see rust all the way from floor to subframe . check all of those out and at door around the btooms and on body ,especially if no one will show you those areas
Nice car but for that price I would expect either the 340 or 360 with a 4 speed.
I live in Long Beach Mississippi cruising the coast is where you need to show your car's at
For that price it should have atleast a 340.
I'm on a cold streak too. Missed last 4 horns.
Another MM great car at a great price!
That paint job is PLUM CRAZY!
Good honest driver. Should sell fast.
If its a rallye it should have a 340. They weren't pistol grip shifters, in challengers in 72, steering wheel should have 3 spokes. Plus there should be rallye grill scoops on the front of doors. Plum crazy not original in 72.
I owned a ‘72 Rallye 340 fast little car!
Why don't they make counter-balancing hoods today?
All it needs is a youngster to swap in 383 or 440, Dana rear end and a 4 speed 😎👍
Even a 318 Mopar sounds awesome! Wish mine looked that good
...
That would make a great base to upgrade from.
That's the sexiest 72 Challenger ever! Plum Crazy. Go Wing. Pistol Grip. Black buckets. RT stripes. Just gorgeous! And you can cruise many miles with that bullet proof 318
Tempting but that color isn’t my cup of tea. I should have jumped on that black one you had.
Love the Challenger!!!!!!
It’s extremely rare to have a factory three speed on the floor. Some racers preferred them . Must have started out as a sleeper. 318 ? Maybe the guy was thrifty😊 thanks Nick
Very subdued Highland Hummingbird.
Looks cool
If it has a 318 in it why does it have a 340 hood?
Does that have an 8 3/4 rear? Posi?
most likely" open" rear so Not if factory 318, unless swapped to MA Mopar called positraction the " Sure Grip". 8.75 or 3/4 " all standard unless a slant six was original.
Very nice!
This won't last long at all, I'll be surprised if it lasts for the video, beautiful ride 🔥
Thank you
Anybody see the episode of Nick's garage where he took a 318 and got over 400 horse out of it that would work good on this car
has anyone checked the fuses?
Signals act like a bad ground
I’m just waiting for the preview test drive
Hopefully 383 or 440!
Maybe bad shock ?
Who buys it new with a 318?
Power Stearing: Typical MOPAR problem for that year
That is actually a great price! OMG! I have a 70 Plum Crazy needs total ground up, so $28k and its driveable is not bad at all.
Other places are selling mint stuff like this for 3x that. So, not that far off
Exactly , we don’t wanna spend 80k on a challenger either. Also working with the mopar guys is a tough crowd. They are extremely picky lol. 100% why you don’t see many on our car lot
Slant 6
That's no slant six
Some can't comprehend, or watch it all
Wow. A slant 6 with 8 spark plugs in the engine! Must have been a rare option for the car back then. lol@@michaelconlin5614
Aww man I wish I had the $$$ to buy this!! She's beautiful no matter what others say.
Mopar and a Manual!!
These years of the challenger just look SAD.
No gauges, suspicious shifter, very weak body (trunk lid is screwed up), questionable suspension in the back. It needs a price reduction
i bet it sold already
That won't be there long
Nope
Horn doesn’t work!
Man, 50's and 60's interiors shit all over anything from the 70's! I love the body style of these, but the interior is so meh!
Wow..
👍👍
Nothing works 😂 I'll pass on this bargain
Trade me?
Good price point, will not last long 😊
If you want a perfect car you will spend three times this price. Then you will be afraid to drive it. I like cars I can drive. You can drive this one often and make changes as you go. Just like we did when they were new!
Nice little ride 👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Nice car Nick !
Nice car 🚗 👌 👍 👏 😎 😀 dodge challenger rt
🏆wish I could get that Challenger🏆 Nick could you give a shout out to Double -n- wrench he's just starting maybe he could play your 🎶 🍀check em out 😎✌️
Double-n- wrench
Something terrible happened in that trunk! Late model drivetrain swap and drive the hell out of it. Like the purple
Id rather have my Willys.
Cud be nice driver with lil work
She needs a little work.but other than that very nice looking car.sweet color.😊❤
Thanks 👍
Plumb crazy body w CHEVY ORANGE motor💪🙄
