Forever Dowland for me, so touching and moving and so well interpreted here and in other videos too. It helps me to write my story playing in 1620 to accompany my flow of thoughts. Thanks to you.

That's probably my favourite piece written for the lute. I can't explain this tune, something is really special about it.
    Good playing Val!

@Luthval I tried this piece and immediately fell in love with it. IMO this is one of the most satisfying piece one can set his hands on, even at a very slow(beginner) tempo.

I just studied what it is Lachrime Pavaen on web. That flow of tears. I played guitar in the past, so I played with recorder such as with guitar from Levocsky lutnovy zbornik+Thesaurus Harmonicus and I know to play such Pavaen, but I saw on web Brugger and saw it is written on web it is Flow of tears, so there are two main ways how to play it or more and some parts recorder plays differently than guitar! I got charismas on similar to guitar playings and rythm...I am sorry I have not whole

Hello, I'm not specialist of oriental lute. I think the plectrum is softer than the "modern" ones, but it is possible to find some oriental plectrum on the net. Just make a search.
    Good luck

Hi Luthval. I just find a copy of Poulton's collection in a library and decided to venture a little bit in french tablature. Can I ask what does a single "#" in the tablature mean?

    Bonjour,
