- I find macro photography a great way to escape, and using the Nikon Z8 makes it a lot easier to do.
So this is a video about finding the secret, tiny world of macro photography. It does take a bit of effort to find, but when you do, it's very worthwhile.
Thanks for watching!
Gear:
Nikon Z8 for macro photography, and the Nikon Z9 for all things video
Lenses:
Nikon 14-30 f/4, Nikon 24-120 f/4 and Nikon 105 f/2.8 Z mount lenses

Sure, it is a Manfrotto Quick Change Rectangular Plate Adaptor.
crab spider in part 1?
@@OvertakeGT hmm it might be
Fantastic may I ask what were your video settings?
Thanks. All shot in 4K, either 100fps or 50fps.
I assume manual flash power? ISO Auto without Flash?
@@hankdinardo4308 photo settings never changed and were: f/11, 1/200, ISO 250 with manual flash control. Video settings: I used natural lighting, usually f/5.6, 100fps or 50fps and an ISO between 800-4000, depending on brightness
@@Blinsaff thanks so much I also have the Z9 and the 105 macro but hardly ever use it for macro. I need to have some fun with it and just put it on the camera with my gimbal wish me luck finding some small critters. Your video inspired me!
@@hankdinardo4308 haha nice! It’s a great combo. Good luck, have fun! 👍
