its funny hearing shane say he doesnt hang around after a shows on the early pods. i remember when i saw him in leeds he was sitting at the bar with a bunch of guys after the show and i went up to him to say hi, he was like "im doing shots with those guys, lets go" and got us all shots. sat around and talked pearl harbour til they closed the bar, shaner has come a long way man

Ugh, this reminded me of a phase when I was 27-29 and tried to hang out with some younger guys from my krav maga school. Their house party was just as Matt described it, just a bunch of dudes in a basement. Three girls showed up but left after 30 minutes.

Old post but that's the brutal reality of most house parties. When I was at college me and some buddies rented 2 houses next to each other so we could throw parties in a joined backyard. Even when we got a decent turn out it almost ALWAYS got swamped with dudes who brought maybe 1 girl with a boyfriend. Then almost all the girls leave. Then factor in they usually drink for free at bars/clubs.
Out of the 2 years I lived in a "party house" maybe a handful of times it was actually good. They say college ratio is 60/40 girls to guys but those girls almost never turned up anywhere. Social media unironically decimated every scene. This was at a BIG state school.
