Another sign-language interpreter is accused of signing total gibberish. This time it was at the police news conference announcing an arrest in the Tampa serial killings. A woman standing off to the side was supposedly translating every word, but it turns out much of what she was signing was nonsense. The woman, identified as Derlyn Roberts, has a string of arrests for fraud. So how did she come to be "translating" at last week's high-profile police news conference? #InsideEdition

When I was in middle school there was a teacher who would teach sign language, and I took the call (I’ve forgotten most of what I’ve learned sadly) but when she but her head down it reminded me of signing the silent night (we did that for a Christmas concert thing, I was also in the band on trombone)

David Boucard well the other guy told his bosses he wasn’t fluent. But due to two other coworkers not being present they put him on anyways. That guy just tried his best, I’ll give it to him for that. He has a hearing empaired brother so that’s all his major training.

She’s not faking all of it though. She does know how to sign just not really well. At one time the guy says something about his “glass being half full” and she does the correct sign for glass but it’s eye glasses not drink glass.
