Magic ruler is my childhood. I remember being so excited when I got a serpent night dragon. My best pack ever though was when I got four holographic's from one. They were Kazejin, Catapult Turtle, Horn of Heaven, and Tribute to the doomed. No joke.

I remember back in the day when Giant Trunade was legal, you could activate Swords of Revealing Light, and on the 2nd turn, use Giant Trunade and then activate Swords again

17 out of the overall 22 rares in this set, decent haul. And I guess 7 out of the overall 22 foils in this set is pretty decent, since you got doubles of 2 of them.

@SoNothing9Well when a set first comes out they make 1st edition cards until the set after that comes out, then they only make unlimited cards. Im not sure if thats exactly how it works but for older sets 1st edittion is at least 3x as rare. For example a 1st ed blue eyes is worth about 30$ while a unlimited one is worth 5-10$. For the newer sets i would say that a cards value is increased by about 20% if its first. Example is pot of duality unlimited is around 100 while a 1st ed is 130

Axe of Despair might actually be kinda useful with the upcoming Hieroglyph monsters, since most of their effects activate when Tributed.

i like those packs because it somewhat reminds me of joey because they always symobolize his persona as a green/up and coming color/duelist.
Man they really need to do something to bring back those Rituals. Crab Turtle is just awesome.
I bought 3 24 pack boxes (1st ed.) of this set the other day and opened them. Ive gotta say it was one of the most enjoyable things I've done in a long while. In the first box i got every rare (17) 4 supers, 2 ultras and the Secret Rare Blue Eyes toon dragon and over the course of the opening all three boxes i got 3 of each rare, 7 / 10 super rares, 6 ultras (couple of doubles) and a second blue eyes toon dragon. I also got 8-12 of every common but strangely didn't get the full set, i missed a few of the short print field spells like luminous spark. All the cards i opened are know in a big binder with just about every common card having a full page of 9 + extras. It looks awesome and it feels amazing to own something so nostalgic :D Hopefully I can get the last few cards over the next few weeks to complete the set.
Im trying to collect the first 3 booster sets (all 1st ed.), the full set of BPT collector tin cards (BPT-001-012) and the first 4 starter decks. Ive got the started decks and most of the MRD and MRL sets but it doesn't look like ill be getting LOB any time soon, its like $900 for a 1st edition box :(

Start with a Starter or Structure deck, then buy booster packs boxes that have cards that will help the deck, then if don't pull any, buy cards individually that you really need.
I remember calling my best friend Jamon when i got this is the mail i was 12 or 13 when it came out and we had so much fun opening this box i remember being so happy because i got a lot of toon cards.

Many may not know. If you do, please don't rash to me. But this is the true original pack line name. After a while, I forget the exact reasons, but they changed the Magic cards to Spell cards, like they are called now. And Magic Ruler was turned into Spell Ruler. So every card he pulls in this box has value, thanks to it being the original pack with original name. Hardcore collectors would so be envious of him when seeing this video. xD

loool those "EATGABON" and "HOUSE OF ADHESIVE TAILS" traps you can find here would be two epic ways to deal with those Veilers used for synchros or even Rescue "Wabbits" and Rescue Cats (if they get unbanned) without wasting your solemns on them imo... but just a lil "situational" thought maybe i would get some in a flea market they wouldn't be expensive at all by now XD
