I actually used to have a Kids WB Card of Sanctity. When I sold my collection around the time the first tuner monsters came out. It sold really well and I believe it went to an online retailer. Only 50 were ever made.

You know...every time I buy packs of cards--no matter what game--I don't really get excited over the rares. What I buy packs for is to build my collection and have deck building material. Right now I have 600+ cards from various sets and tins that I've been buying since late 2012.

And I fully respect that. Even as an adult, he continues to do what he enjoys. He's even made it into a source of revenue where hundreds of thousands watch his videos.

The problem with these REALLY early sets is that since only few cards had been made at that time, you're getting the same cards over and over again.
The foils make it worthwhile though.

The best card from the set was the alternate Polymerization. After almost 10 years, they finally released the art seen in the TV show.

A secret for all of you guys who buy Yugioh packs:1)Secret rare cards are more heavier than normale cards,if you want to find a secret rare you should choose the pack which has more resistance,touch the pack with your hands and put to it a pressure by bending a little the pack,if it has a lot of resistance to the bending then it is an ultra rare or a secret rare card,if it is very low resistance then it is an ultimate rare card,if it is a normal resistance then it is a rare card.
there is two types of tournaments that follow different limitations, one thats traditional (no card is fully banned), and the other is advanced, the more widely used tournament play style, where there is banned cards and limitations on more than in traditional.

I remember when I this set came out. I randomly found it at a local store. I picked up 8 packs and got the alternate art Polymerization, alternate art Dark Magician Girl, and alternate art Summoned Skull. If I would have gotten the alternate art Dark Paladin it would have been epic,but I'm not complaining with what I got.
I haven't played yugioh in like 8 years, but it still brings back memories seeing all of these classic cards

Depends on what you mean. I don't consider him either lucky or unlucky.
That pack guarantees 1 "rare" of whatever type (rare, super, ultra) card.
He got alot of marshmallon, magical hats and monster reborns. So that's a pretty average result.
Although getting multiple dark paladins was pretty good, he only got 1 Dark Magician girl and 1 Black luster soldier in that entire set.

It's actually quite alive...There are many yugioh dueling sites to go and play on and it's still pretty large in Japan.
I ordered 3 of these 5 card booster packs on eBay the other day. My friend and I have recently started playing the game again (Original/GX era) and I always loved Yugi's cards, the magicians and what not. I had Dark Magician/Girl, Sorcerer of Dark Magic and those so I thought I'd order the packs just to see if I could get a few good pulls. I got no duplicates and pulled Dark Paladin, Buster Blader, Light force sword, magical hats - Basically every one I wanted to pull. I was freaking happy. I was ready to buy Dark Paladin on eBay along with Buster Blader, saved my self some money there haha!

I remember as a kid I bought a booster pack with Dark Paladin on the front and I expected a Dark Paladin to be in the pack. Oh how I was disappointed when I didn't see it.
When I was a kid, all I cared about was the stars at the top of the card of the monster cards. If I had a card with 1-3 stars I would throw it away, including all of the spell and trap cards xD.
I went out to my local card shop and asked them what the hot packs were. I saw this pack and thought since it was the last left, I thought it was a good idea to buy. I guess now you can say my deck revolves around dragons and my new Dark Paladin!! ;D

My deck revolves around Dark Paladin quite a bit or at least Dark Magician and Buster Blader. I think my main deck is mostly a spell counter deck. Hopefully one day I'll get Silent Magician LV4 so I can finally use my LV8. Also need stronger magic and trap cards. Mainly I need Spellcasters and Dark Magician support cards.
At least now he knows he'll be able to reborn his monsters if they're destroyed in battle! XD

I just found these videos a couple of days ago, and it's bought back some great memories, I spent a lot of years and pocket money collecting these cards and buying them, I thought that they'd been thrown out but I found my binder of rares along with my god cards, a few structure decks I bought and my own personal deck. thanks for rekindling good memories :-)

Dark Magician Girl is my all time favorite monster above all yugioh cards. I have the original one in my deck. Love it to death. I hate to say it but I would not trade it for the Egyptian God Cards.
i remember this is the set i almost completed. i got the ultra rare mirror force and super rare sorcerer of dark magic. only ones i was missing was the secret dark paladin and ultra dark magician girl.

Try Dueling Network! It let's you play people from all over the world. If you like the face to face interaction, look up where your nearest card shop is. People are bound to play there.
There are only 30 different cards in this pack I think. Hence why there are a lot of the same cards.

Doesn't matter if he's a nerd or not to begin with but some people are willing to pay top dollar for certain cards so some of them are worth a lot of money to people who want them.

He has one. He sells the cards he opens, keeps the ones he really likes, and uses the money from his views to keep buying more to open. Sounds like he's got himself a pretty good idea. And he enjoys it.. That's all that matters. And don't talk about being an adult, when you say "FREAKIN" and "OMG".
I spent $32 on a Legendary Collection 3. I got over $76 worth of cards from it :D
