Its in Jeskai colors because it originated with the Jeskai tribe from Tarkir, so we see it on blue creatures like the otter too.

Almost had a heartattack facing this deck yesterday. Guy just came up with 16 dmg out of nowhere with that doublestrike card. Luckily I was at 17.

This deck is insane - fastest wins ever. it might need some tweaks here and there (mostly something to protect our creatures from opponent's removals), but in general 90% of the times it's rock-solid and getting through for the win on turn 4 when we have an average hand. If we're extremely luck we win on turn 3 and if we have some bad luck we win on turn 5 or 6. Once I even had to mulligan down to 5 cards and I was a bit scared... in the end I won on turn 4. So, big thanks to LVD for sharing and showcasing this. Much much appreciated. I'm honestly looking forward to your take on Angels now, especially with the new archangel of tithes. because you are going to try it, right? 😛
i wanna see a deck with the new izzet slick cards
actually pretty fair to see decks taking more removals against creatures to fight back this kind of deck, should be a big deal. I see very potential but not broken.

Random question, can you use Olivia opulent outlaw as your commander in brawl, I haven’t bought it yet, but it doesn’t show up when in the brawl deck building section but it does in the collection section?
Should work, just make sure you have the correct filter enabled/disabled.
I use a variation of this deck. I have tough times with any black deck. Like tiny ones and Shelly. I don't have the lands but I use basic lands. Any suggestions?

Path of peril crushes this deck, I just don't think the other streamers/content creators were prepared for this kind of list. It could be viable in standard but there are plenty of good answers out there.
Path of Peril rotates very soon… we’ll still have Temporary Lockdown for a year, though.
@@davestier6247 I'm not even sure how much path of peril crushes this. You can play around it by plotting the slickshot and storing up some spells. Of course, that falls to instant speed removal, so perhaps the tag team of path and go for the throat is enough, but the haste means they can't really tap out ever or they'll probably just die.

@rayzhang7591 if you have to sit with open counter mana you cannot win with a pure aggro list like this.
Half of these wins didn't even have new cards in them. Maybe there still space for these super fast decks...
i plan to make almost this deck...but removing all blue cards and adding the new green hydra that has haste and u can cast it X + Green ! and 1 more green insta that gives + counters and hexprof or something like that ( new card )
what do you think about questing druid? its used in the deck in other formats
Seems like a great sideboard option for matchups where things tend to slow down and you face a lot of removal. For best of one it feels a little slow vs the aggro decks.
How-dy you feel about the Demonic Ruckus card for this type of deck? It could be plotted turn 1 and then cast when you have a proves creature -- so it would be quite efficient - no? Perhaps not as good as kumano or monstrous rage but not strictly worse.
Could be worth exploring! It's great with Slickshot but might be a little lackluster otherwise.
Will definitely see play in Aura decks alongside Light Paws.

What would you change to make it a more efficient Gruul deck? The three colors might be an issue sometimes in Bo1

I made it in standard brawl, but I believe you can make it work anywhere :)
a few recomendation :
Geistflame Reservoir can target even if it doesn't have any counter on it
Korvold and the Noble Theif can make all 3 treasurs needed to make a scorpion dragon (if you have Magda on the field when the last chapter resolve)
Smoldering egg cuz when transform it allow you to make a sh--load of crimes

Where are the opponents' removal spells? If I run slickshot out like that without any protection to back it up it opponent will just immediately go-for-the-throat.

Sure, although according to stats on Untapped the monored build performs even better.
21:50 play slickshot, swing, if they don't block they die, if they do block, kill shelly, play otter?
It's an option, although leaves us in a bad spot if they block and have more answers in hand.

I know folks hate aggro but for me I play this kind of deck the most simply because I want to clear some rewards daily and don’t have 30 min + for every match..

This was recorded on a brand new account that started in bronze and we only had a few hours to play on it. Rank is mostly meaningless in my experience, it’s a reflection of hours spent playing as opposed to player skill. Since it resets every month there’s very little incentive to do the grind over and over. I actually find opponents in Platinum and Diamond to play better decks compared to Mythic, since the players in Mythic have little reason to keep playing competitive decks.
in fact, matchmaking algorithms make playing Mythic much more difficult. that's why there are no fan decks there… the low rank video distorts the true strength of the deck for the viewer!

I absolutely hate to sound hyperbolic, but the slickshot wizard is lowkey broken. There were some times here where even you seemed to be caught off guard by the decks power. Like in the game where you only attacked with the slickshots. You clearly didnt realize that you had lethal and had you decided to use an all out attack you would've been able to push an even more insane amount of damage. Turn 3 board wipes arent good enough against this deck.
I foresee a surge of WB decks for the instant speed removal and the Pest Removal board wipe. That seems to be the main way to counter this deck, unless racing against it with lifegain is somehow more efficient (which is still in white so a black splash might be happening).
I haven't watched the video yet, so this is kinda a prejudiced view but seeing that title made me think "right, we really needed more aggro decks". I'll be taking a break from the magic with OTJ for the first time since 8th edition, I guess watching magic will be more fun than actually playing against turn 3 decks, cheating etalis into play on turn 4 with akul or two card kill combos with bloodletter. I respect each and every content creator who plays this game as their main source of income.
Not to be rude, but this is why I stopped playing magic. Miss standard being a turn 5 curve
